GoDaddy's website builder is budget-friendly.

2018-06-22

Pros

GoDaddy offers an easy-to-use website builder that can help even the most non-tech savvy person get a website up and running.

Cons

The features and functionality of GoDaddy's website builder aren't as flashy as something like Squarespace.

I've testing this service out in conjunction with my domain purchases and found it acceptable

2018-06-21

Pros

linking your domain into the website builder is seamless. Very well done. Finished product you end up with is acceptable

Cons

Functionality is limited in comparison with other website builders such a SquareSpace. Maybe a few more bells and whistles.

Pretty low quality

2018-10-01

Pros

Go Daddy is great for cheap and inexpensive web tools, at least at the start and before you have to renew.

Cons

This just doesn't compare to a WordPress website, or any of the mainstream monthly website builders likes SquareSpace and Weebly.

GoDaddy for the Budget Minded

2018-12-29

If I were choosing a site to build, it would be Squarespace. GoDaddy is not very useful for the things that I do.

Pros

The GoDaddy Website Builder is for the budget minded. It is the cheapest on the web for hosting in general. A simple site can be built with their many options to finely tune a simple website and make it your own. It works well in most browsers and can be accessed from anywhere as long as you have an internet connection.

Cons

The website builder is limited in what you can do with it. It is also not the easiest to learn or use, but what do you expect for the cheapest price on the web.

Better than their old "Website Tonight" software but still lacking in features

2017-10-04

Pros

Somewhat easy to use for a novice. Very inexpensive so ideal for hobbyists and very small businesses. Ideal for someone who's not afraid of trying things out. I used this for a Lake Association website. Most people's needs will outgrow it within a year or so.

Cons

A much needed improvement over their old software but it's still pretty limited in templates and features. Squarespace has better templates and more features.

Clunky and unattractive

2018-10-16

GoDaddy's only redeeming quality is that it is very cheap.

Pros

It's cheap. That is about the only thing GoDaddy has going for it. The customer service is not good. It's hard to talk to the reps and they don't seem customer focused.

Cons

It just, overall, pales in comparison to services like Squarespace.

Great DIY or starter solution

2019-01-01

As a freelance web designer, I have set many clients up with the GoDaddy Website Builder. It's a very affordable solution for folks who want to make their own changes and handle maintenance themselves (but lack experience or technical know-how).

Pros

The interface really is intuitive, and you can accomplish a whole lot without any design, coding, or significant tech experience. A great DIY option for small business owners looking for a straightforward and manageable, yet professional website.

Cons

Also, GoDaddy does not support nearly as many integrations as somebody like Squarespace or WordPress.

Look elsewhere...

2018-11-21

Pros

I like how seamless GoDaddy's website builder is within their own platform...mostly ease of pay and ease of integration.

Cons

Sites like SquareSpace and Wix are much easier to use, especially for a novice.

Low price and easy to use for simple websites.

2018-09-16

If you want to put up a website quickly with no fuss and little custom design then this could be great for you. Otherwise, more demanding users should look elsewhere.

Pros

Modifying templates is very quick and GoDaddy's website builder is probably the easiest builder out there for novice internet users.

Cons

The price per month is also unreasonable in comparison with other leading web hosts (IE. Squarespace)

I use Squarespace for my website currently.

2018-03-13

Pros

I love the aesthetics and intuitive UI. Squarespace layouts are so beautiful and definitely help my website stand out, but still look professional and not like a template.

Cons

It's pretty expensive, and I don't like that I can't transfer a domain over from GoDaddy right away.

Great website design! Definitely would recommend to someone else.

2018-06-08

Pros

What I liked most about this software is the ability to include so many things. I can categorize things on the website. I don't think Shopify offers it!

Cons

I compared with Shopify and GoDaddy and their response time is much quicker!

Easy for Beginners

2019-01-22

I have a Squarespace website, but have never tried Wix or GoDaddy to create a site so it's the only one I'm experienced with as of now.

Pros

I am not a web designer by any means, but Squarespace offers some great templates and is inexpensive. I also like their free analytics tools to help you see your traffic without using any external services/software.

Cons

There's a lot of research involved (and frequently searching their FAQs) for various features of the site. I'm not crazy about the fact that some of the coolest features are exclusive to certain templates and not available everywhere (like SEO meta descriptions, which seem necessary).

Best option for Small Businesses that aren't IT savvy

2018-10-19

I've used several competitors, and while Wix is probably my next favorite due to customization, Squarespace is leagues better than any other site developer I've used, including Weebly, Wordpress, GoDaddy, Wix, etc.

Pros

Mobile optimized websites are lightyears beyond GoDaddy and Wix.

Cons

The templates are amazing, and there are a lot of choices, but if you don't like the options, you are stuck with what they have. Customizing is very limited within the Template framework, unlike Wix. In order to be glitch-free and mobile optimized, the templates have very little customization.

Squarespace Review

2018-10-29

Squarespace doesn’t have a free plan - although it appears to advertise as such (which can be a bit misleading). Also, it isnt the cheapest website builder out there, meaning cash strapped businesses will opt for cheaper options despite these being less professional looking.

Pros

Squarespace provide all the necessary tools "newbies" need to build a website which looks slick and professional . Esy to use and clear instructions on website set up. It also offers a free trial period (14 days - not totally free) and with good marketing spend, it gets quite a lot of TV advertising airplay

Cons

I appreciate it may charge for hosting the site, but there are now many other companies and means and ways of building website (wix, godaddy, weebly etc) which offers the same things and attimes at much cheaper rates/prices.

Small business works great!

2018-10-03

This is the second system we used for a website and we are very pleased with this so far. We have been using it for just about 2 years.

Pros

This website replaced our previous GoDaddy website and we love the modern design and ease of use.

Cons

Since this is a template based site, sometimes this limits what you can do, unless you know how to get around this. We have been completely happy with the overall use of this product.
