Double authentication made easy

Used daily for 1-2 years

Authenticator has allowed us to build in an extra level of security to our web applications and systems. Guaranteeing to management and our security team that our systems are secure and gives our users a nudge to remind them that security is important.

Pros
The automatically refreshing code given by Authenticator ensures the code isn't abused but also makes it clear to the user when their login session might refresh. The mobile app is incredibly small in size and easy to use on both IOS and Android devices. Meaning any user with a smartphone can use this whilst away from the desk.

Cons
Setting Authenticator up to work with an application or web system can be troublesome, you need a developer experienced in HTML and JavaScript otherwise you will struggle. The refreshing code, though good for security reasons and most users, for impaired or older users this can be very annoying and sometimes impossible to use.

Great 2 factor auth app!

Used daily for 2+ years

Pros
First of all I'm assuming this is for the Google Authenticator app. This app works great for 2FA. You can add almost any 2FA account to it and use as a 2nd factor for authentication. Never had any issues with it.

Cons
None that I've seen so far, it seems to do it's job well without any hangup or issues. Good job on this one, Google.

2 step authentication helps protect you further!

Used daily for 1-2 years

Pros
I think it's a great service to continue helping keep account users safe from hackers. The 2-step authentication is great when you need to access your accounts on different applications.

Cons
No desktop application! It gets a bit tedious having to do it on a mobile app. I also think that the timing for the authentication is pretty short (as mentioned by another reviewer on here).

It works well!

Used daily for 6-12 months

Pros
Pros. Quickly scan a QR code and you're in. It's really simple to set up. You can easily edit your entries.

Cons
No folder options to segment your 2 way codes. It's also not sync'd with your Google account so you can't easily transfer from one device to the next. It doesn't work on the Pixelbook, which makes me cry.

Great authenticator to use for my Google Sign-in!

Used weekly for less than 6 months

Review Source: GetApp

Pros
I recently updated the security of my Google account to send a push authentication to my phone to allow logins. I feel much more secure with my Google account and all other API's associated with my sign-in (Gmail, Calendar, Google Pay, etc)

Cons
I have nothing bad to say about this app! Google continues to produce powerful, seamless apps that are all integrated to help me stay productive!
