From our experience it's OK for quick projects, quicker than amazon aws. For long term software stability or precise capabilities we'd go to Azure anytime.
Very powerful, straightforward, it sports a lot of the tools you probably want
Less comprehensive and enterprise oriented than Azure, less legacy compatibility, unclear and swift platform changes.

Earlier I had heard some of the best things about Google Cloud but when I really used this service I found that it should be on top.
I really liked the plans and the features they provide. From a startup to a fully-functional enterprise, Google cloud platform has for everyone.
I find it very decent and did not see much problems in using this service. Everything is good and according to the expectation.

I have used free version of GCP and enterprise version of AWS. I think GCP takes more time in some IT tasks as compared to AWS
Cheaper than other major cloud services. Very good in Machine learning and handling big data
Many features are missing as compared to AWS.

Overall I really liked my experience with GCP, the product is quite sound and pricing competitive. They do need to fix a few things to provide the full enterprise experience.
Ease of use and developer friendliness. I really like the plethora of tools available along with the multiple options for running services on GCP. The services are a bit sparse but certain ones are excellent (GKE). Performance varies based on location, the nice thing is they have several regions which AWS is not in. Pricing per instance is VERY competitive as other cloud services are not cheap.
Does not have as many platform services as AWS or Azure. Customer support was a mixed bag, would have liked more responsiveness for sev 1 issues. On several occasions GCP had a major outage, down for 2-3 days which is not acceptable.

Overall there are areas where Google cloud has lead in market. Right use case can yield good benefit.
Google cloud gives your free credit to play with. Most offering has low learning curve and plenty of tutorials available on different e-learning platforms. It is very good for a small team to start fresh on Google cloud. Their various tools and integrations makes it easy to maintain and deploy. Several ways to achieve your infrastructure need at scale. You could also use infrastructure as a code and create blue-green deployment. Nice dashboard to track your cost.
Hybrid environment setup could become tricky if you are large enterprise with significant infrastructure in your own Datacenter. Some products are tricky to configure. Tabs on left at times could seem confusing.

Use of Python and Node.js for basic machine learning, lambda functions and event driven code on demand.
GCP is a powerful cloud platform offering services that allow you to architect web applications, SAAS, run machine learning processes, manage security assets and gain significant insights from data, all while leveraging your preferred code base. It isn't really possible to summarize all the features available as a whole, but it provides tremendous benefit to enterprise code and furthermore has extraordinary documentation and courses on Coursera to immerse yourself in the entire platform.
While offering substantial features that cover most all use cases for enterprise-scale code development, serverless projects, data science, etc. it lacks the massive scale and enormity of it's larger cousin, Amazon Web Services.

Google Cloud Platform really enables developers to take advantage of a lot of features at surprisingly (in most cases) low cost. The number of APIs and connected services to take advantage of is almost overwhelming, and almost certainly very few are able to use everything they have on offer.
The user interface is needlessly complex, and only really accounts for enterprise-level account management. Also, some of the pricing (especially re:Maps) is ridiculous, and subject to change at any time with little recourse to the end-user.

I have been using GCP for a year now, and I have to say that it is one of the best cloud providers out there. The cost is relatively inexpensive for what you get, and the private data regions are really intriguing!
When it comes to reliability, features, and price points, GCP is a solid choice for any company that needs to manage their cloud-based applications. Not only does it provide the stability of Google's stable infrastructure but also the security that is needed for any enterprise-level software.
I like GCP because it has reliable backups and is capable of handling large projects efficiently. I have never had an issue with the speed of the server or its ability to handle big files. I've been using it for a few months now and haven't seen any downtime yet.

This is a must if you are developing for Android. The integration of the platform is the highlight when you are developing mobile apps. There seems to be discounts as well when using the platform this way; however, this was something that I could not test. They do roll out new features and do well with requests.
They always seem to be behind Amazon and Microsoft. They were late to the game, so their product offering is always playing catch up. Pricing seems to be a bit high too. Their customer service is a bit lacking until you reach a higher enterprise level.

Over the past two years, we have deployed 2 major enterprise applications which uses location data to serve appropriate content to the users. The entire project was deployed, debugged and managed via Google Cloud Platform. Our experience was really awesome considering how easy it was to deploy, debug and manage our project data securely.
Google Cloud Platform (commonly abbreviated as GCP) is hands down the best all-in-one cloud service provider when it comes to managing, developing, debugging and deploying your project. Be it a small scale application for personal use or a data intensive enterprise application, Google Cloud Platform offers a plethora of functionalities to ensure your app or project meets the required quality standards.
The User Interface seems a little cluttered considering Google's love for minimalism. Also, managing your projects via GCP's official Android application can be a little bit of a hassle sometimes.

I've just started with Google Cloud Platform, bug they've been very generous in offering free small samples, trial offerings, and at that, the technology itself is inspiring, from the literature provided, and based on the descriptions. Essentially, a developer could scale an enterprise or computing task, or app at full Google thrust, at scale of course; yet it's not at all a paltry offering; significant...
This software platform is much more than one single concept of software: it's the starting point for accessing all of Google's Cloud Computing services as well as the background APIs that operate at code and scripting level inside of shells and IDEs. Ostensibly, any common computer task, client, service, object, or node can be made in to a Google Cloud Platform instance, from virtual disks and machines,...
It's a vast expanse of software development to wrap one's focus about. That being said, a developer would be lucky to get some hands-on, real-world context of what the Google Cloud Platform Apps and APIs are fully capable of. There's not a whole lot to dislike; Google Developers on every Google product offering constantly update their literature and sites, co make sure that the content is presented well and that users have the means to learn by doing; going forth with the flow of context in development that pops up, from moment to moment; I suppose it [could] be more fluid, but then again, I am a common consumer developer and this is a beautiful array of modern computing leverage at my fingertips, potentially. I just have to learn to use it.

I really liked how easy splunk made it to search vast amounts of data in a short amount of time. The dashboards were pretty useful as well.
Splunk is very expensive to deploy on premise. This can be a limiting factor for customers that do not want to host sensitive data in the cloud.

Overall, the experience was positive; even with a free trial license, it was much easier, and on the course and certification side, Splunk has a very good collection of videos and materials that help even a novice quickly setup the integration and indexing.
The most useful thing about Splunk is the ease of integration with application. With uipath on-premises it was very much helpful as the business users can monitor the actions of robots through spluink without entering into uipath orchestrator
Expression creation for indexing was bit hard as it is not user-friendly to business users if they wanted to create any new fields, also the forwarder was not able to directly connect with uipath cloud so that the logs has to be shifted to intermediate file before uploading into splunk, but that seems not an issue with splunk but more related to uipath cloud

I've been using Splunk for over 8 years. I've seen it constantly improve and change a lot. I do enjoy it. Cloud is getting better and much better parity with on-prem
We use this as our SIEM. The ability to have the data ingest, visualization, alerting and correlation all in one product is very important to me from a security standpoint. We're cloud-first so having that ability with large cloud providers is important to me (AWS, Okta, GCP, etc)
The cost can be a little concerning and htere is a bit of a learning curve when you first get into Splunk. User groups, their forum and pro serv all help with that.

Excellent. I would be more interested with learning Splunk Machine learning tool as well as using it's cloud support in AWS or Hadoop based applications
Extensive support for creating dashboard, ability to write queries to capture application logs and support to automate alert system along with Service Now incident creation.
Sometimes cause issue to create false alert or miss alert because of the difference of fraction of seconds in data.

good, still learning. It would have been great if training from splunk were cheaper.
Very easy GUI that can be familiar just in a few days, Gathering data in simple stepts makes everything much easier.
The docs about the product sometimes are confusing, and to learn more on google is harder because there is not much material like for example cisco, palo alto, etc.

Splunk is widely used for manipulation of data and we encounter the use of this tool almostl twice a week. Even though it costs much more but still we have not found any alternative that is able to offer all these functionalities.
Splunk is very easy to use due to high community support and many video tutorials available online for new users to learn. Functionalities are robust and simple to use. Data retrieval and visualisation is nice and easy if you know the right querying process. Machine Learning supports enhances performance for the cloud, especially. It collect wide variety of data and still it amaze you the way it retrievs it.
There are many tools available in market which are potential competitors of this tool and that too at reasonable pricing. Splunk offers more functionalities but costs you too much if you look at the work it does. Complex queries may require large CPU usage and may even freeze or atleast slow down the system for a while. Need to be specific while querying the data.

Splunk is best data monitoring and visualization tool. We can set alert for log and monitor log . It provides different modes for searching Fast, Smart and verbose. By using Splunk we are getting all system log in one place .Splunk has capability to handle large and big size data. It has best GUI , one can easily adopt and do customization and based on requirments.
We are using Splunk for log monitoring . It is integrated with Kubernetes and pivot cloud via data bus. By Splunk we get Realtime log application. It provides best visualization of data generated by system. Splunk also provide option to filter data based on data range and time. We can configure email alert for specific issue. Splunk also provide ML model for data. Splunk use simple query to get data ,everyone can easily learn Splunk query.
I haven't found any issue yet the only problem with Splunk I have that log in Splunk is scattered . We need to build good query or better logging mechanism at application side.

It gives best Return on Investment as analyzing the data and giving proper insights in form of Dashboards and notifying with help of Alerts if any kind of threat running in infrastructure and apart from that Deployment and use is very easy.
There are lot of features which Splunk offers - 1) We can onboard data from any server, device or system using Universal Forwarder 2) Onboarded data are later stored in Indexers and searched further in Search Head for analyzing the internal logs 3) Using the data we can create customizable Dashboards and get proper insights of data and create Alerts to identify any kind of Threat or anomalies running in environment 4) Deployment is very easy on-prem servers 5) We can also use Hybrid Deployment on Cloud as well.
1) As it give large amount of features but licensing is too high 2) There are lot of other Open Source software which can be used as alternative of Splunk as Analytic tool because Splunk is paid one.

If i have put a word it would say "Fantastic". The functionalities Splunk provides eases team to manage/monitor their IT infrastructure and internal application you will be well aware about the performance of your applications. Setup alerting and take necessary actions in stipulated time to overcome all the issues which may affect your application performance.
Splunk offers various features whether you need to setup monitoring on your server, application logs based on logs ingestion set alerts so that teams got notified on real time and take actions accordingly. In this way, it helps to monitor application which are mission critical. You can make dashboards in Splunk where you can configure various components such indexes, data inputs and schedule reports as well. To achieve additional functionalities we can install third party apps as well such as AWS Add on for cloud watch log ingestion.
From Admin perspective, I found user access management a little difficult. The roles of access management becomes complicated because some time the config files for that didn't came very handy. Other then that I think all in all Splunk provides fulfill all of the requirements.

Having a enterprise-ready centralized logging tool is critical for production success.
Splunk integrates with almost all popular enterprise software products including VMware, AWS, Azure, etc. Most customers use it primarily to do log analysis but it can also perform data analytics for business reporting. The UI is very straightforward and enables you to quickly search through large datasets using SPL. We were able to quickly locate the source of the issues by using Splunk to triangulate logs from several different components. There is a Splunk Cloud version with a free trial if you are aiming to do some integration work and testing. Finally, like all monitoring tools, Splunk offers AI and machine learning for even better predictive analytics.
Splunk is expensive and probably not for smaller startup companies. The pricing is tiered and is subscription-based so if you start to ingest a lot of data, look out. It can eat into most of your IT budget and Splunk by itself doesn't handle all the Day 2 operations that are needed.
