Pros
Help has been quite responsive and I am glad that for the most part they take the reigns.
Customer Service Convenience, Effective and Efficient Database, Thanks to this program; we were able to gain convenience and effectiveness with in us.
I love that it's a pretty decent tool to easily map your fields to import. I love that it basis your import fields off of your spreadsheet and the fields set up in them.
Pros
We were using another ETL tool that was great for extract and load, but did not address our transformation needs. That is where Matillion came in and was the perfect fit.
They have been a great company to work with. They are very transparent, quick to response, have awesome support and great training.
The support team has been very responsive in resolving some Azure-related issues, tuning our instance, and helping to understand the nuances of how it works.
Cons
Shaky beginning due to poor training - unsure if that's my company's fault or yours.
It is also difficult in that some missing fields lead to constituents and gifts with information that need to be corrected.
When we got IOM some 3 years ago and I was setting up my first few imports... that was a somewhat confusing challenge to navigate all the possible options (even with training).
Cons
When they eventually respond to messages it is with an unhelpful response. Generally they will blame us for issues on their end, or they misunderstand the problem completely.
Sometimes the error logs are not very descriptive so it can be hard to debug at times.
Lack of version control for the ETL code is a problem.
