Pros

I like that you can create groups of users and fully customize the roles with permissions and access.

Pros

Love having health monitoring, antivirus, windows updates, and alerts all under one product.

Wonderful computer management suite

We needed a solution for seeing all of our computers in one place and to be able to remotely control them with elevated permissions.

Pros

Having a centralized place to manage all PCs and report on updates, antivirus and other activity is great.

Cons

LogMeIn Central is a great tool but it's expensive.

Great desktop management tool with a few caveats

I was able to wrangle in all of my end-users into one unified platform to both maintain windows and application updates and push out anti-virus installations.

Pros

In the past, I had to have VPN access to my work network or with other tools, I could only use Windows to access end-users over the web but with LMI, its platform agnostic and they have a great mobile app for iOS and Android that allows you to connect to anyone in your list from virtually any device.

Cons

Also, when you've subscribed to the package that includes anti-virus installs, there is no way to centrally manage the AV, as its provided by a third party.

Pros

We use the user management, antivirus management, system health monitoring and computer grouping according to location, access and permission frequently to keep on eye on everything and compared to the other software we looked at this has been a great buy for us.

Cons

The only major issue that I have with this product isn't even with the product, it is with the customer support that assists whenever an issue comes up. Being escalated to different tiers of support until you are able to get to the person who can actually help you.

An average service for remote access

Our overall experience with LogMeIn Central has been okay, we're able to push the content we need and remote into things, but the UI and the connection instability make it very difficult to use.

Pros

The user interface, for the application, is easy to use and very plain (no real chance of getting things messed up).

Cons

The connections are not always stable, and can drop unless people have a pristine connection, which is very difficult to monitor.

We utilize this for access to our clients servers and reports on their status.

Cons

When we give someone temporary access to a server the two factor authentication for these accounts we have to remember to turn it off.

When they need support, all the users have to do is make a quick phone call and we can instantly provide support even though there are hundreds of miles away.

Pros

this tool provides reliable access to our far-flung network of computers and devices to enable us to provide instant, critical support as if we were sitting at the keyboard and monitor. The ability to run diagnostics and the logs right from the dashboard is extremely useful.

Cons

However, as reliable and robust as the software has become I have no real complaints.

It would take hours to relay all of the benefits of LogMeIn for the real world IT professional.

Pros

File transfers are simply drag and drop convenient.

Cons

The only change I would like to see is to eliminate the disconnect that happens momentarily while updating the LogMeIn client software. (It automatically reconnects without intervention.)

It works with very basic internet connection too while other application fails. If session is breaking, you can tweak by minimizing the scree resolution, and disabling desktop backgroud.

Pros

Its a SAAS applicaiton Different login options , taking control of keyboard and mouse along with Alt, Ctrl, and delete Blanking screen to hide your activity on terminal.

Cons

You can't disable the already remote session even with high privileges user so if two user are trying to get connected the last one will get access and you can't see who was already connected.
