Best experience I've ever had using a localisation tool!

Reviewed 5 years ago

Make our release process faster and more reliable. Make our translations more consistent on one platform and accros all platforms.

Pros

Lokalise is years far ahead from its competitors. It solves every problems we encounter today in mobile apps. The way to assign specific platforms per translation, the possibility of having different keys per platform, universal placeholders, glossary, translations proposition based on Google Translate and translation memory. Also the API and fastlane actions are helping us improving our continuous intergation system!

Easy to Use Translation Platform

Reviewed 3 years ago
Pros

It is easy to use and implement for both tech team and translators. To best of our knowledge, it is not missing any features we might need and we can easily add new languages and even take advantage of Google Translate.

Cons

I found the Admin section bit confusing in the past but their team explained it quickly in the live chat.

Great translation software for our site

Reviewed 3 years ago

It opened up our horizons to translating our site into more languages and more easily. What a relief. I highly recommend this product.

Pros

We work with volunteers across the globe. They are able to easily learn and use this software to translate what they can and leave the hard pages, TOS etc for us to farm out via Lokalise and a couple of days later they are done. The translation suggestions shown from Google et alia by phrase are super helpful too.

Cons

Some of the HTML goop doesn't always transition over to the translation smoothly but generally it's fine.

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

Attention to details if we are talking about UI/UX. It is easy to use essential tool that you can just send al ink to your teammate and he will understand what to do immediately. It resolves my business tasks on the fly.

Cons

I still haven't found anything disappointing to me.

Working with Lokalise is very easy

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

-the client can add screenshots, which makes it so much easier to see where the translation will go within the wider context - chat function - it’s easy and fast way how to ask any clarification questions about the source text

Cons

Can’t think of anything at the moment, it has been working very well for me so far

Scaling and ease of use

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

Its ease of use and rapid feature development.

Cons

Versioning is a bit confusing at first because it uses a different paradigm than what you are used to with their notions of release vs pre-release (and not tied to a semantic version for instance).

Simple UI, loads of features. Compatible with all our apps and great customer service.

Reviewed 5 years ago

There's not much I dislike about it, though I suppose I'd make some of the buttons a little less washed out looking. I thought there were in a disabled state at first.

Pros

This is an incredibly flexible translation tool which provides a friendly UI for both translators and developers to interact with. Lokalise has translation memory, good plural handling, translation suggestions from the internet, and great platform support for many formats. We were having some issues getting our files to import and export properly, and I received excellent support and an improvement to their import/export to help meet out workflow. They've got a fun visual design style too, which is a nice change from the other more bare-bones translation tools I've used before.

Great choice for language localization

Reviewed 4 years ago

We've been able to translate our SaaS application into a number of languages very quickly.

Pros

Great user experience. Prompt customer service. Very feature rich. Low time to value in that onboarding is very easy and quick.

Cons

Very few complaints. Their support team is located in Europe so US companies should plan for a time zone difference when it comes to support requests.

Highly recommended

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

The nice UI. It feels fresh and is easy to work in. Fantastic support that answers quickly and helps me with any issue I might run into. Otherwise it does what a TMS is supposed to do. And does it well.

Cons

Some features I took for granted are locked in our current plan. But you get what you pay for I guess :)

Reivew on Lokalise

Reviewed 4 years ago

We had been using Excel to manage our terms, and it was quite difficult and in many aspects and time consuming. Since we changed to Lokalise, our term management, as well as translation tasks became much easier. I also appreciate their technical support (e-mail, chat) for their prompt replies.

Pros

Lokalise is easy to use to share terms with various people involved in a project. It's a cloud system, so we didn't need to implement special software either. We use to manage our terms with Excel, so sharing terms with others were not so easy.

Cons

We put tags on each term but as the number of tags used in a project increases, it becomes difficult to find a specific tag from the list.

Terrific mobile app localization sofware

Reviewed 4 years ago

Some of my clients build mobile apps and video games and need my help localizing them into Russian through Localise. The tool is fantastic for freelance translators and offers an incredible built-in CAT-tool with in-context translation and preview.

Pros

Excellent CAT-tool makes my work extremely enjoyable and rewarding. Features that are actually useful, no clutter, a focus mode that lets me focus on translation - all of these features make it one of the best tools for mobile app/game localization.

Cons

Pricing is a bit steep if you ask me, however there even more expensive tools out there. I believe features and functionality is well worth the trade-off.

Really good translation tool !

Reviewed 5 years ago
Pros

It's a easy to use tool with a friendly design; Support is good and reactive. Must have to handle translation on multi platforms.

Cons

While lokalise's improving a lot, there's still some cases to handle, like android menu items or strings using in customs views;

Powerful localization software

Reviewed 3 years ago
Pros

I like the tight integration with our Ruby on rails backend. It makes deploying translations easy. I also like how easy it is to order translations from them, get free machine translations, or hire your own private translator.

Cons

It used to be expensive, but the new pricing model reduced our yearly fee from $2,000/year to $200/year, so it's now a great value

Better localisation experience

Pros

a lot of features and integrations it makes easy to collaborate with external translators gives you an overview of the translation state

Cons

we had only one issue with the plans but the support solved it immediately. in general the interface for the administrator is a bit cluttered the prices offered inside of the app for the translations are a bit too high wrt the market, but you can use your own people to translate the app, so it's not a big issue

Amazing product

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

Saves me a ton of time, ensuring that my app is translated correctly. It's very easy to get translations done and they are very fast

Cons

The pricing is a little steep for my small app. Currently I'm using the free trier, would upgrade if it was a lower tier ~$10.

Outstanding experience.

Pros

What's great about Lokalise is that they provide both outstanding SaaS and great translation service, which creates a frictionless workflow that we need to keep ever changing content translated. Also great customer service.

Cons

I have not found any issues with the product as of yet.
