It has made so many things easier in terms of visual understanding. If you're a visual learner it's a godsend. Whether I'm tooling on my own project on my own, and it helps me understand a flow I want to implement, or I need to communicate a complex project proposal to a larger audience, LucidChart is where it's at!
I like how easily you can duplicate diagrams with ctrl+D and connect shapes and label everything. Luid also makes it really easy to color code everything and you can copy styles on to different shapes. Also, they make visualizing data in a distributed system really streamlined with their ERD import tool that let's you import data from a SQL database(we use PostgreSQL) and automatically generate ERD diagrams for your whole team to use!!!
In LucidSpark, they have a really cool JIRA integration where you can visualize JIRA tickets and their statuses are automatically updated. I wish that LucidChart had that too. Otherwise, everything is great!!

End to End Design Sessions and Dataflow Diagrams can be created and shared easily. this reduces the learning curve for our Analysts and Architects
Changes reflect live, so many users can collaborate on a single diagram
No SharePoint integration. No intuitive integration with Jira. No auto export of diagrams PDFs with a sharepoint folder

Its integration with 3rd party software. In our case, LucidChart was integrated with Confluence from Jira suite
I would like to have additional shapes / libraries from distincts fabricants

It's a great tool, very easy to set up flow charts, and the interactive layers, and ability to import images and links are also very useful. Two issues I've noticed, is that when flow charts get very complex, my Mac Book Air really starts to lag and has trouble handling my project. My coworker once had a giant sitemap built but his browser crashed and he lost all his work, and was required to start over. Being able to have a desktop app or more stable support/auto-backup would be helpful to ensure work doesn't get lost.
Easy set up of components, interactive elements and layers, ability to import images, and its support with other apps like Microsoft Office and JIRA.
How laggy it gets when the project gets really big

I've used Lucidchart for personal stuff for a long time and have been trying it for professional usage in the last few days
Lucidchart is the most complete application you'll find to build charts and diagrams on the cloud. It integrates with almost anything, Drive, Jira, Slack, etc
The pricing is not friendly for small companies, which might be a blocking

I've also used Lucidchart with Google Drive -- Also very great!
* Easily share diagrams, charts, workflows in JIRA * AWS and other icons already part of the asset toolbox * Templates are easy to follow * Can have multiple diagrams in a single document
* It does take some getting used to * You can not easily edit charts unless you're in Confluence * Others have to copy then overwrite or create another version of your diagram

I found Lucidchart extremely easy to get up and running with on projects and easy to get things done for describing difficult concepts. It is a dream to work with and it integrated well with JIRA and Google Docs.
Lucidchart is by far one of the easiest to use and easiest to collaborate in the diagramming software world. It comes with a great suite of built-in images for iconic professional paradigms and has a toolset for customizing your own charts and diagrams.
For now, I can't think of any con unless you're trying to be fully compatible with other competitors.

We used this software to design database structure and flow diagrams. Also we used it to draw UML diagrams.
The ease with which one can elaborate and explain the complicated flows, structure and designs. It provides a vast majority of templates which are useful. It integrates well with JIRA and Confluence which helps in flexibility and staying connected with engineering solutions at one go.
We were not scale software because of pricing issue as the more number of users you want to add, the price goes relatively high. Also if and only if Lucid Chart can provide us a feature to print out the designs and flowcharts in an effective and efficient way.

1.) Removing steps from each process that aren't absolutely necessary. 2.) Cloud-based is almost a no-brainer these days, but it enables real-time idea-sharing with office mate collaboration. 3.) Simple to use and adaptable inside the program without the need for special training. 4.) Ability to integrate with Google and Jira.
1.) If the free account includes more features, Lucidchart will become more popular, and more features can be purchased based on the necessity for those features 2.) It can be tough to modify the size of forms at times. 3.) Limited template set.

Normally I used draw.io, but since it is installed in-house, I switched to this program, I did not have any transition problems, but it could have felt more special. In terms of use, I have no words, it is more than enough.
Their output capabilities are pretty good, as are their import capabilities. It is very advantageous that it can work directly integrated with Jira (at least for our company), and it is very successful in synchronization. The drag and drop system is fluid, even though I work on the same file for hours, I don't experience any slowdowns.
I think more components, use cases, more up-to-date support and training program (available) for on-prem could be provided. At the moment I also need customizable components, I would like to be able to do it with a capable tool without importing them from outside.

This is the tool that I used to design software related diagrams. It is really easy to design and I can recommend this as a great tool for developers.
There are different types of notations, connections, icons and shapes available for us to design diagrams. Also this provides a set of templates that I can choose from without designing from the beginning. Lucidchart is integrated with jira and google cloud so I can easily export them to those third party applications. If I'm tired of drawing a diagram, I can share it and my friends can join with me and can work on the same diagram simultaneously.
I think the performance of the tool depends on the browser.

Saves me a ton of time in designing ERDs and data flow documentation - come up with these by hand was previously a massive pain - Lucidchart speeds up this process and consequentially helps me communicate better with the rest of my team.
I've found Lucidchart to be incredibly helpful in designing diagrams related to software design. Trying to create these diagrams myself in various design softwares was always complicated and cumbersome, and this system allows me to intuitively create complex diagrams without pulling my hair out. Favorite features: - Low price - Versatility of shapes + functions - Easy export to PDF - Built in templates for everything from ERDs to iPhone app design, and everything in between - Detailed articles explaining nuances of each type of diagram - Integrations (Google Drive, Slack, + Jira are especially nice)
Any frustrations I have with Lucidchart are minimal: - Lack of autosave feature (I don't always remember to manually save) - Wish that templates came blank instead of pre-populated with data

the creation of flow diagrams and uml mainly that can be shared to work as a team, I can also use them from google docs without problems and store in my google drive account, I can also use the images saved onedrive in my diagrams.
It is very easy to use and to register there is no complication. Several types of popular diagrams can be made in some disciplines such as software engineering or network design. available in several languages, including Spanish. It allows to import diagrams made in microsoft visio, omnigraffle, gliffy and draw.io you can also import figures from visio or in svg format to the library. You can download the diagrams in multiple formats like jpg, png, pdf, svg, csv and visio. You can work collaboratively, inviting teammates to edit, comment or see the work. It can be used for free. has an excellent integration with google docs and office 365, also with confluence, jira, slack, quip and zoho connect among others.
allows only 60 objects per document in the free accounts. the revision history is only available as a premium function, which forces me to use the google revision history docs when I want to work collaboratively.

I'm an Engineering Graduate Student. This is my Review after using Lucidchart for a Month. I'll be giving review about the product after use in a class project. Some problems are complex enough that you may not know how to ask the right question. That's where Web Apps come in. With a few clicks, these form based course assistants solve many types of problems which are commonly encountered in your classes, no questions asked. Create engaging lectures and materials by uploading your own real world data, or draw on thousands of data sets already available in Lucidchart. Tailor the look of your results with customiszble visualizations. The color, style, and elements of generated charts and plots can be customized and downloaded. And export results in 60+ file types. You can download results in various formats like XLS, PDF etc. There's so much you can do. They are always adding more content and more features to help you create the best classroom experience possible. So, that's good that it gets regular updates.
HUNDREDS OF TEMPLATES & EXAMPLES: - Flowcharts - UML - ERD - Wireframing / iOS Mockups - Network Diagrams - Org Charts - Mind Maps - BPMN POWERFUL & EASY TO USE: - Hundreds of shapes with easy drag and drop functionality - Export to PDF, PNG, JPG and Microsoft Visio (.vdx) - Integrations with Google Drive, Confluence, JIRA, and Jive at no additional cost - Dedicated support team to address your questions BUILT FOR COLLABORATION: - Real time collaboration - Unlimited number of simultaneous collaborators - Powerful version control and revision history - Group chat and comments - Embed diagrams in blogs, wikis or websites SECURE & RELIABLE: - All data transferred using SSL with AES-256 bit encryption - Hourly backups stored across multiple data centers - 99.9% uptime SLA for enterprise customers - Admin-specified password strength and reset frequency requirements ROBUST FOR ADMINS: - Upgrade other users to administrators to help manage users - Set whether new users automatically join the team or require an invitation - Control which domains your team can collaborate with outside your company.
I found customers (who already use LucidChart) sometimes shared their diagrams with just the employee needing it "right then". However if someone else needed to work on it they didn't have access, and usually didn't have the rights to be able to share it with other people in our company. I wish when customers shared it with someone in our team that it was automatically shared with everyone in the team. This was such a big issue for us we ended up canceling out company subscription and converting it to a single user subscription forcing everyone to log in using the same account. Issue resolved with customers sharing with us.

My overall experience with Jira has been great so far. There is a lot more to learn and Jira provides that opportunity to create the best experience for me and my colleagues. They do keep introducing new features and facilitate an active community to gather feedback and actually act on it. Jira has definitely added a lot of value in how we do project management and software development at my company. It has his flaws but it still works out to be the best tool for us to accomplish the purpose at hand this far. I'm sure it will only get better from me and we can get the utmost value from Jira in the long run.
First of all, this product offered a free trial to experience the features first-hand without any strings attached. It was great to have the ability to go and play in a sandbox environment and carefully evaluate what it can and cannot do for me and how it can add value to my organization. Set up and gaining access was easy and quick. The different permissioning levels make sense to stay organized and maintain accurate information. Some of the features I liked the most was having a great UI for exploring and learning without much training. I was personally tasked with setting up a couple of projects and the respective boards for my teams and I was able to do that in a pretty self-serve way. The design is minimalistic and doesn't feel overwhelming, it is clean and navigable. Easily creating backlogs, sprints and administering those are also my favorite features because it makes it so easy to implement an Agile project management and software development culture. The categories of initiatives, epics, stories, tasks etc. align very well with the Agile methodologies in following the same hierarchy. I love being able to get a quick summary view of the tasks before diving deep into the details. Assigning owners, labeling, story points to track work effort needed, description fields, attachments, comments and seamless integrations with other products make it all the more user-friendly. Kanban Board views in Active Sprints tabs provides a clearly easy to understand view of progress.
Managing boards within each project is the first that comes to mind. Jira does not offer a standard naming convention for the projects and boards and this can cause some major confusion. I have hard coding this manually and training people to do the same to ensure consistency. If you attached Lucidchart diagrams or embed other important document within tasks or epics, they don't update in real-time or even with refresh which is frustrating. This runs the risk of people getting outdated information which can misinform their actions. The search functionality within Jira is also something that I like the least. It does not return optimal results or even close to optimal results. Sometimes it does not search for metadata and you have to remember the actual word you're searching for to track down a task. It returns an overwhelming amount of results and the filtering or sorting options available are confusing and hard to understand. Another limitation is that even though one project can have multiple boards within, it can only have the one same backlog of items which does not make sense to me. There also cannot be multiple sprints running across different boards and all of this makes me wonder what the actual difference between projects and boards are. Jira also lacks some automation in moving tasks to different statuses upon completion. The workflows are suboptimal and don't work as intended most times. The reporting capabilities within Jira are also quite weak in my opinion.
