The app seems to offer advanced and intuitive diagramming capabilities, with a great library of templates and shapes that can be used for a wide range of projects. Despite the cost being a significant factor for many users, the app is still a worthwhile investment for those who need advanced diagramming capabilities.
Despite the cost being a significant factor for many users, it is worth noting that the Lucidcharts app is an excellent tool that offers advanced and intuitive diagramming capabilities. The app is user-friendly, with a range of drag-and-drop elements that make it easy to create complex diagrams and flowcharts. Furthermore, Lucidcharts has a great library of templates and shapes that can be used for a wide range of projects. Overall, despite the cost, the Lucidcharts app is a worthwhile investment for those who need advanced diagramming capabilities.
As a user of the Lucidcharts app, I must say that I am disappointed with the cost of the app. While the app does offer some great features and functionality, the pricing model is simply too expensive. The monthly subscription fee is quite high and not affordable for many users. While the Lucidcharts app does offer some excellent features, the cost of the app is a significant drawback. The pricing model needs to be revised to make it more affordable and flexible for users.

I use Lucidchart for system diagrams, data modeling, and business process analysis/improvement. It's an excellent tool for all of these. Lucid is intuitive to use with simple drag & drop functionality. 90% of the features I'm looking for are available by sight or with a simple right-click of the mouse. The visualizations it provides helps to highlight process complexities that need to be simplified, and make collaboration with clients very straightforward.
Because Lucidchart is a web-based tool, its features lag in comparison to some installed options. The other thing that annoys me is how there does not seem to be any way to add a connector to a shape so that the connector will dynamically re-orient when I move the shape-- a very common occurrence when working to improve processes! I need to click the connector, hope I actually selected the right space (or else it creates a new connector), and drag it to a new connection point. Overall minor, but annoying.

The first time I presented a chart I made with the free version - a simple, clean 1-page flow-chart - to colleagues, C-level officers in other departments immediately asked if I had graphic design background (I do not), and then asked what I used to make this and how can we get it! It really did lead me - through my consideration of my own designs - to new insights about business processes that I had been managing for several years.
Remarkably easy to go from no experience with production or design of charts to making professional-looking outputs that will wow your colleagues. Even the free version can put our really incredible-looking product with east. I cannot overstate how intuitive the UI is - anyone with a willingness to explore even the features will be richly rewarded. The collaboration tools are on par with those in MS Office or Adobe Acrobat Pro.
A stand-alone app would be nice, but perhaps that is just me being old-fashioned. This web-based version works just fine for me in Chrome, though I cannot vouch for other browsers.

A cloud based alternative to Visio.
Web based so can be accessed anywhere without the need of a file repository. Allows you to download directly in pdf format. Easy admin console, and cheaper than almost all of the competitors in the same space.
Their sales team will email you and call you just about every month to get you to upgrade. As well, the way purchasing licenses works isn't seamless or industry standard. For example when we upgraded past 10 licenses the next option at the time was purchasing 20 seats. Which left 9 unused but paid for; on one of the afformentioned sales calls I brought this up and they lowered the seats to 15 (at the time the amt of users we had). Next time I needed to add a user it jumped back up. For a cloud based service they should be able to automatically scale licenses based on users and not a "range" of users leaving us paying for more than we need.

Overall, i tend to find Lucidchart to be a very user-friendly and intuitive tool, with a clean and modern interface that is easy to navigate. The software also offers a wide range of customization options, allowing users to create diagrams that are tailored to their specific needs and preferences.
One thing I really appreciate about Lucid is how user-friendly it is. The software is easy to navigate and has a clean interface that makes it simple to create different types of documents, including diagrams, charts, and maps. I also like the fact that it offers a wide range of customization options, so you can create documents that look exactly the way you want them to.Another thing I appreciate is the collaboration features. Lucid allows multiple people to work on the same document simultaneously, which can be really helpful when you're working on a project with a team. The software also has commenting and sharing options, making it easy to get feedback and share your work with others.
One thing I find frustrating about Lucid is that some of the more advanced features are only available in the paid version. While the free version is still quite functional, you may find yourself limited if you need to create more complex documents. Also, while the interface is generally user-friendly, there are times when I've found it a bit glitchy or slow to respond.

We are using Lucidchart to create diagrams like flowcharts that help us plan for our projects. It makes it easy to come up with stunning diagrams that offers exceptional designs. The overall experience with Lucidchart has been what we anticipated for, very simple yet very effective.
Lucidchart comes with flowchart templates that guided us on how to draw effective flowcharts. There is no coding instead it is dragging and dropping shapes which makes diagramming very easy. The collaboration tools makes is possible for us to work together on the same diagramming tasks.
The experience with Lucidchart has always been on the right side. Nothing negative to comment about.

I've leveraged LucidChart numerous times to visualize process work flows and to provide visual guidance for leadership and end-users.
The various integrations are awesome and the template library has many examples that can be applied to real-world use cases!
Unfortunately, to integrate with my company they need to allow it and they won't because it's not used by everyone. That's a limitation within my organization, though, not the product itself.

LucidChart came to simplify a process for my projects, since I’m using it I spend less time elaborating my flowcharts.
I have been using LucidChart for almost 5 years, I’ve used it for assignment in my job, college and even for personal projects. I consider that is an easy tool, where you can create flowcharts. You don’t need previous experience to understand the platform. I like that that give free space to work which is a great option when you are starting and want to test the software before investing money. Something that was very useful in my collage project was that you can collaborate with more people at the same time and you can serve your work in various formats.
Considering that is a web application you can’t use it without internet. And the free version has limited space, if you exceed 60 objects the document won’t be able to be edited anymore.

Has Everything: L:C has literally every type of chart, bubble, line, and template that I can think of. I've yet to run into a situation where LC did not have something that would work. Sharing Capabilities: Like Google Drive, users of LC can collaborate on charts. I know that our engineering team uses this a lot, I have yet to find a need to collaborate on charts that I've created, but I love how easy it is should the need arise. It even integrates with Google Drive to boot! Does One Thing: Sometimes this is a con; when a software is just a One-Trick Pony. I think that its a trap that a lot of software companies fall into, especially young ones. They try to do too much too quickly and come to market with incomplete, inconsistent, or generic products in saturated markets. LC does charts and chart sharing so well that it can afford to do nothing else and I appreciate them for that.
Direction: If you are a chart rookie or simply are not sure where to begin with chart creation, LC has templates that can help, but the user has to approach LC with the creative vision and direction in play already. There is no sandbox mode for this part of the chart-making process; I still use a legal pad to start with. LC's templates are neatly categorized based on business needs or otherwise, but they are still just templates. In some respects, this is not so much a con as it is a natural limitation on the creativity chart-makers must overcome in the first place

We were looking for a tool that we can use to communicate our Architectural diagrams, and that would integrate with Confluence. Their support and training when we implemented the solution was excellent.
The integration with Confluence/Atlassian is straightforward. We do all our ERD in Lucidchart, and I used to create internal and external presentations. In my job, I have to present complex problems and sophisticated solutions to our dev teams and our senior team. Lucidchart helps me communicate those complex problems and ideas to solve them.
The library is extensive for developers that need to prepare ERDs or architectural diagrams. However, the library is limited for themes outside software development. The integration with PowerPoint is not as straightforward as I expected. And their online help is very extensive, but I find my self not able to find the articles that solve my questions.

I have been using Lucid charts to do drawings and network diagrams. It is very easy to use and there are nearly thousands of templates and the drag and drop option has helped me in exporting files with ease in a matter of seconds. We can export to any required format, and it provides free integration with chat, calendar and mailing tools. We can add members by invitation and also automate this joining process. The tutorial had given us details about where is which tool and why and how you can use the same. The best part about this application is that it is faster than most of the drawing tools available in the market. And you just pay for the tools you use, like the pricing is different for large and small businesses. It is very much intuitive and cloud-based, you can access your drawings from anywhere and via all the devices.
Integration with Microsoft apps are sometimes very time consuming and no other drawbacks as of now.

I've used their system to rapid prototype our software and make diagrams to explain complicated report parameters to clients. I've also used their mind mapping tools to keep track of day to day activities and manage the team.
The Lucidchart team so often has features and templates that I am looking for and they make them better than if I started from scratch. They allow me to quickly create documents that explain a system or situation in a way that saves me time. Visual communications are beautiful and the integrations available make me wish i was more successful in getting more of my company to make us of this great tool.
More templates and features than I have time to explore.

It is a good tool to draw diagrams, and we use it to draw class and ER diagrams representation of our software and database models. Overall easy to use and powerful, but with some glitches to be fixed.
Lucidchart is very handy to draw diagrams and figures, especially for database models. It gives you a lot of control over the appearance of your diagram and it is nice that me and my team can collaborate easily on drawing and refining the diagrams.
Quite sometimes the app has difficulties loading and I'm obliged to close the browser tab and restart it. While this does not affect the app usability once you're in, it can be pretty annoying and it has led me to close the tab and not come back to the app more than once.

1.) Removing steps from each process that aren't absolutely necessary. 2.) Cloud-based is almost a no-brainer these days, but it enables real-time idea-sharing with office mate collaboration. 3.) Simple to use and adaptable inside the program without the need for special training. 4.) Ability to integrate with Google and Jira.
1.) If the free account includes more features, Lucidchart will become more popular, and more features can be purchased based on the necessity for those features 2.) It can be tough to modify the size of forms at times. 3.) Limited template set.

Lucidchart is a very nice tools, easy to understand, easy to integrate with differents solutions
It presents lot of template that seems very nice, but are not dynamic at all (ie Gantt chart) so you have the feeling you will be able to achieve more than the capacity of the software

Each member of my team can contribute to data visualizations in real time thanks to Lucidchart's built-in collaboration features. As a team, we can create data visualizations like charts and graphs, and everyone can see each other's changes in real time. This facilitates group input, reviews and approvals, as well as detailed explanations.
One of the software tools I use at work is Lucidchart. It helps me draw data systems diagrams, which in turn helps me describe, organize, and convey data engineering work to my colleagues.
Despite Lucidchart's diagramming templates, I've always felt that they fall short when it comes to most of the charts and data process maps we've created with Lucidchart. And that's how it's always been: many data graphs are completely hand-drawn.

Lucidchart worked fine when we first started our company but as we scaled and found that Miro does a much better job.
As a basic diagramming and mind-mapping tool it works without an issue. You have all the shapes needed. It is simple enough for anyone to use
What I found bad about Lucidchart is the UI and collaboration with others compared to Miro. The UI looks outdated and takes the fun out of drawing. Collaborating with others is not seamless like Miro where you can collaborate in real-time, chat or take audio calls.

We use LucidCharts to map client's processes. It is easy to collaborate with colleagues and export the maps to add in reports.
The software is easy to use and does everything it needs to do with minimum fuss. Normally there are lots of issues with web browser software but this works very well. With very little effort you can create process flow map and make it look professional.
No issues. It does everything I want it to do. Only scratched the surface of the available functions.

There are tons of templates available that has helped me create a lot of flowcharts as well as organizational charts without much lag. It provides a lot of real-time collaboration and the customer service is highly responsive. Data is encrypted using 256-bit encryption, high levels of security are promised. It has helped us to program, plan and solve problems. I had found multiple tools for design and shape, and this had helped me to design workflows with ease. The application has been priced well and is quite flexible! I just loved the drag and drop functionality, it has helped me complete tasks easy. You can try the trial version, it has got almost all version as the paid one.
If we try editing a diagram, at times it gets quite confusing to deal with. The application can be used offline, if there was an offline add on, it would just be great. At times, I had found the program getting crashed.

I’m so averse to subscriptions in this suddenly over saturated monthly fee market that hit the world like a giant wave that it clouds my judgement over software and the companies that made it. I actually stopped using Lucidchart because of that for a while ....but the superiority of the product and the fact it works across devices and platforms (from iOS to Windows, to android) brought me back. I would rather buy my license then rent one....so, I hope they address that desire because if a simplistic program comes out that I can buy....I’ll have to make the jump. I would rather stay here though as it is truly a easy to use program with tons of features.
The flexibility in this software is pretty stellar. You are not limited to one type of document or flow for your project and you can customize what you’re working on really easily by utilizing the available tool set. The app integrates with Hoogle and Microsoft so you can backup and save to Google Drive etc. The app also comes with an admin feature that allows you to call up the app from within Google Sheets or Google Docs which can be super helpful for embedding your drawing or project into a larger document.
The free version only allows a single document to be saved and if you’re lucky - after a period of time you’ll be offered a free document so you can have 2 drawings going. You only get 25 MB of space with the free version....so it’s really just a taster. You have to do the dreaded S word (Subscribe) in order to get any usable space for anything large enough for any serious process mappers etc. You cannot outright buy a version of the software so for anything usable (for serious mappers) you have to pay $5 per month at minimum. This frustrates me to no end with good software.

I started my diagramming experience back on 2011 with Edraw max. However I tried out Lucidchart in 2016 and I have never had the cause to look back ever since. I am an avid user of Lucidchart simply because it is cloud based , it is affordable, supports importing diagrams to and from Microsoft Visio and allows me to collaborate with my colleagues in real time ,while working on my diagrams. Being cloud based , ensures I am able to pick up my device and begin working on diagrams at a moment notice, I get access to this fantastic diagramming program.
I have no iota of reservation about Lucidchart. Its user interface was very easy to get used to ,and this is majorly because it has got similarities with Edraw max, which was the software I was coming from.
