What can I say, Lucid Press is not the best app when it comes to design Ebooks or similar projects. It can solve your problems and get you out of the mud for a while but it will never be InDesign or Illustrator.

Quick and easy

Faster and more robust than alternatives

Pros

It was quick to access, learn, and implement. Works with file multiple file formats well. Used it for my class project and was way faster than everyone doing their posters on PPT

Cons

Measurements could use some work, but maybe that's been fixed. It would be great to put in a dimension I want a line or object and then have it resize.

What can I say, Lucid Press is not the best app when it comes to design Ebooks or similar projects. It can solve your problems and get you out of the mud for a while but it will never be InDesign or Illustrator.

Pros

- You can share your projects with your clients because it is cloud base.

Cons

- Clunky interface, not so many editing options. - Sometimes can be slow to use.

It will solve your problems if you are not a designer. Not bad at all, but is not my cup of tea.

Lucid Press

Pros

Lucid press is awesome we use it to create all our eBooks, we used to work with Indesign before, but Indesign requires lots of computer resources what we like about Lucid Press is the fact that it runs on a browser

Cons

Grids and snap to grid features can be improved, text-editor needs improvements, there are no strokes for the text.

Forget Adobe!

14/01/2017

LucidPress is an amazing software that allows for my team to stay organized and connected while we're creating social media banners as well as other online graphics. The best part about Lucidpress is that you can have your business cards and other printable graphics printed by them which makes it easy to be successful.

Pros

- They have their own printers to allow easy ordering - Doesn't limit the amount of folders documents

Cons

- They have packages instead of custom solutions for teams. A team of three has to pay a certain amount as well as a team of 5. - Small collection of themes

I would totally jump in and play around just to see how everything works. If you do decide to use it I would also make my own template gallery granted you buy the team version.

Great web-based document creator

23/01/2016

We use Lucidpress for a monthly print newsletter for a church. The web-based interface is relatively user friendly...a few options are hidden away and hard to find, and pasting from other programs can be problematic unless you paste as plain text. The biggest plus for us is that multiple people can access and contribute to our publications without needing specialized software. Nice selection of templates, too.

Pros

Great for collaboration - being web-based anyone can use it Simple and fairly user friendly interface Nice, professional templates that can be easily customized

Cons

Cloud publishing can be a little glitchy - we find it easiest to publish as PDF and put the PDF online as needed If care about attention to detail, users need to always, always paste as plain text. More of a user issue than an app issue, though! If the "paste as plain text" setting were more visible it might help.

Lack of https

10/03/2014

Lucidpress was easy to learn and produced beautiful documents. However, we are unable to link any of the documents to our website due to the fact that the documents are saved in http and not https. Until the documents/flyers/books, etc. can be saved in an https format we are unable to use Lucidpress. Would have given a 5 star rating if not for this fact.
