I have been using Jira for over six months now and it's one of the best product management tools I've ever used. As a backend developer, I spend most of my time on Jira, whether it be creating issues or following up on them. It has a lot of essential features that help me manage my tasks as well as keep track of all the new features we've implemented and the work that our team is doing. It is also great for communicating with my team. I can prioritize tasks by dragging and dropping them into different areas of the board so everyone knows what to take care of next and when it's time to discuss something, we can easily find it on the board without scrolling all over Jira.
Jira got all the features we need, and we can get up and running in no time. I love how they've tackled complicated processes like reporting, budget management, and customer feedback in a way that's easy to understand.
I like that Jira is easy to use and allows me to prioritize tasks quickly. I also like that I can create subtasks within a task. I don't particularly appreciate that the software is not user-friendly. It takes time to learn how to navigate through and get comfortable with the interface.

Best for Project Management Testers and Developers collaboration Easy of use
It's a open source It supports Ms SQL, oracle and many more databases and different version control tools As mentioned, even though it's commercial Trail version is more enough for any kind of projects
Most of the Commercial tools are rich User interface, but Jira has very old versions and not upto date on features

It is easy to use and interact with JIRA. Easy to manage multiple projects
makes it easy to manage a team and helps each developer to keep track of everything they do and also to communicate with the team.
Honestly, I like all the features of the software. I love JIRA

I like this product. Its lite, simple and easy to use. Made tester's and developer's life easier.
Ease of use. Easy to report and file a bug. Keep a track of the reported bugs. Quickly access details of work done. Quickly access the aging bugs, the progress done. Check if its a regression etc.
Not really con as such, but can be definitely improved, especially integration with Eclipse or Visual Studio etc. can be incorporated.

While Agile is a Good product for collaborative tracking of requirements and to track code changes for IT applications, it is found lacking functionality for tracking Agile projects compared to AgileCentral.
Good product for collaborative tracking of requirements. It is also a useful tool to track code changes for IT applications
Several features for granular breakdown of requirements and incremental progress tracking are missing for tracking Agile Life cycle.

Overall, I have noticed it works great in an agency setting. It helps a lot with remote workers and developers/designers who need to be able to work collaboratively with project managers. It's also something we have found many developers know how to use already.
This is amazing for when working with other developers and designers. We are able to instantly add any bugs necessary for our developers to handle and get real time updates. The ability to provide feedback has also been awesome for tracking any comments and or suggestions within our team and remote workers.
The software doesn't have the most mobile friendly app. It seems to run a bit differently on mobile so you would have to be willing to do everything on desktop preferably. In addition, you are limited in the file upload option which can be hard and tedious.

Jira has helped me successfully manage a team of engineers and developers to launch products and see them go out into the world. Couldn't ask for much more from a PM tool!
Jira has so many different features and add-ons that it's really capable as a project planning tool - regardless of the types of projects you're working on. Fortunately, they have some great blogs, communities, etc. to help you on your way.
As with all flexible software, the flexibility comes as a result of functions and features that are built in. Because there's no "one-way" for novices, Jira can be overwhelming.

We are using Jira for our product and website delivery. POs and developers as well as QAs like it a lot, we even got the designers using Jira now. Overall, Jira got better with years and compared to a few years ago, is now easier to use.
- Go-to soft for product management & software delivery - Easy to plan backlog and sprints - Easy to track sprint progress and monitor red flags
- Reporting functionality is hard to use and limited - Tasks search is very geeky and doesn't have easy filters - There's no easy overview for the past sprints & analytics that combine a few of them

I work as a Software Developer and part of Scrum team. We use Jira to manage our Project and keep a track of all the development, testing and release stuff.
I like the overall product quality and easiness for managing our project User Stories and other implementation.
Comparing it with Azure DevOps, I think reporting needs a little improvement and adding more feature time to time.

I am using JIRA to track all software defects and enhancements that the product managers, technical writers, developers and implementation consultants need to be aware of by product for each client
I'm personally a bit indifferent to this software because of the troubles I've had with running queries...see more info below
I am not too fond of what it takes to run reports/look for specific cases in JIRA. Most of the times I have to reach out to a developer/programmer/SQL expert to help me write the specific search query I need to know for sure that from the hundreds/thousands of open cases, I am pulling ALL the ones I am interested in. In this aspect, it's not a very user friendly software, unless one is very familiar with SQL

You won't regret it if you manage a team of developers.
Perfect project management software for IT sprints and tickets. Easy to groom the backlog and manage sprints.
Can take some time to learn the ins and outs. Somewhat complicated to configure. May be too complicated for non IT projects. Can be hard to visualize the backlog with many tickets.

Our development team doesn't share the same office as our support team, so being able to share bugs and feature requests from our users back to our developers is so easy in JIRA.
JIRA allows us to create bugs, improvements, and new features and comment, manage, and update based on the development process.
It can be complex at times when trying to configure or setup some element, but otherwise, the program is great to use.

Jira is a great tool, powerful and fulfills all my needs as a user. I'm using Jira as an Android Developer and it's an amazing tool, it helps to control the development process from all parts. Sometimes it seems to be so powerful than what we really needed.
You can do anything you need, create charts, apply rules, filters and customize in the way you need.
For easy and quick things, it seems to be so much.

A great tool to learn especially to increase the value in the job market. Most of the companies use this for the project management functions, especially in agile and kanban development.
Pretty much the industry standard - It's so dominant in the market that JIRA knowledge is required for most devOps Positions. Easy to use interfaces and customizability
Does not suit some software development models

Great but we changed the software to azure devops. This belongs to the integration of dev ops when programming c# and f#.
The software is has a great layout and is easy to use. The overview of tickets connected to the problem content helped our dev team to manage this.
Through the possibility to set avatars to the accounts each ticket is more personal as in a common ticketing system. The conncction to the developed code makes it easy.

It's super helpful to have all your tasks in one place and have an overview of how sprints are progressing.
- It's super intuitive; - You can add multiple kind of items (bugs, tasks, user stories, etc.); - You can add lots of information regarding those items; - You can create links between those items; - It has some limited customization that you can apply for your use-case;
- It's a bit cumbersome to keep tracking of the time spent on a task; - It can use more filtering options inside dashboards (and some more widgets).

Managing project build is easy with jira. Creating issues and linking them to code base is the best part.
Ease of use for developers is the best thing about this. It has great features to link each jira issue to a code feature branch.
Its not business friendly. Making it more business friendly should be the next step. Also project management aspect is also lacking.

The entire development, sales, and customer service team utilizes this software. The development uses it as a project management tool to build new features. While the sales and customer service team uses it as a ticket system to report issues, that then get funneled into developers work table to fix.
Extremely effecicent at tackling issues, and communicates updates to anyone involved. It’s incredibly easy to break down entire projects and track the progress
It’s only as complex and useful as your team adopts it and utilizes it. Could seem clunky.

I am using Jira daily since that is our project management tool. Since it has integrations to visual studio code as well, It has become very efficient to work with and keep track of your work. Assigning cards, Changing States are super easy. UI is very understandable.
Our company is using Jira and Bitbucket as well from Atlassian. the feature I like most is once you comment A Pull Request Link or Google Drive or link or something it converts it to very attractive link. And it shows the Pull Request Status as well like it is open, merged or declined etc.
I can't perticularly think of nothing that'd raise any concerns. If the web application has some themes to choose over that'd be great.

Jira initially was welcome, as it allowed me to communicate with a group of developers who were each taking responsibility for a set of tasks, and reporting on their progress. Eventually, the system seemed unwieldy and took too much time and effort for everyone to follow the requirements and rules of the system...and we found other solutions which were less expensive.
Jira provides a hub for collaboration between team members where task-lists can be created and progress can be tracked and communication can occur. It has integrations with other products.
I found it confusing, there was a lot of documentation which had to be read in order to understand the system.

I used it occasionally in our projects, mainly to exchange with other teams like developers and project managers, but not to collaborate with my own team
Easy to set up, with lots of functionality. Suitable for any type of project and method, such as Agile.
The tool is a bit difficult to handle with all its features. It is not necessarily suitable for all professions, for example, for designers: It is not easy to consult the evolutions of assets and to give comments.

it helps us to keep the productivity high of the developer and tester by tracking their efforts and helps us in efficient utilisation of the resources
It is of great use to log all the issues and bugs and help to keep a track on the progress as well it has helped in a great way to improve the capability of the development and the testing team it can be used for both large scale and small scale projects
one of the rare disadvantage that is found is the slowness of the tool . other than that all good
