Paul: So here is the Pulseway Windows Agent. From here, you simply enter your username and password, a computer name and a group name to distinguish it ... among the other systems. The group name is a commonly used feature to organize systems by client name, branch or site location. It helps a lot ... to differentiate the systems from different clients or organizations.
Jimmy: Right. So if we were in a company and we had several systems, we could create a group for, let's say, sales and put all their systems there and then another group for another department and just start grouping people, correct?
Edgar: Yes and that's a common use for a single organization. The enterprise is a man and service provider and has multiple clients; in that case, they can create multiple user accounts and should give access to their clients as well to access their systems only. While from their master accounts so to speak, they'll be able to access all the systems in one location ... centrally.
So this is the main management utility. From here, you configure the Pulseway monitoring tool. So if you are to drive in through the system here, all the switches and configurations for all its features, you can configure and customize your agent through your likes. So for instance, maybe we don't want this system to be able to be powered off or suspend it, so we'll just take out those features.
Also, we might want to enable Screens View to see if what an operator is currently doing in front of the computer. We can monitor different services, enable monitoring for network interfaces, remote ports, performance for a particular IP address and monitoring this ... certificate expirations which I know to cause a great deal of problems when they expire; website responses, monitoring and checking the file system, freezing the file browser.
Also, Pulseway is known to have a deep integration with a lot of enterprise solutions like Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Servers, Hyper-V, IIS industrial server. For these, we designed dedicated modules that provide you a deeper way of management and monitoring for this applications.
For instance, for the Exchange Server, we can monitor and manage mailboxes, receive and send connectors and check the server health with one tap from the mobile device rather than having to type all these commands like IP admins usually do in front of their terminal or PowerShell or command prompt.
So it's really easy to configure them. We simply select which one to monitor then the Exchange Server and you select which version it is and click the Apply button and it's already configured. So configuring this is really an easy step of an IP admin's duties. Also, these settings can be exported and replicated across multiple systems ... installation procedure.
