Pros and cons

Great project, great people, it's been a successful project. We had numerous starts and stops to automated UI testing over the years that we were finally able to tackle with QA Wolf.
The benefits of switching to QA Wolf have been outstanding. The QA Wolf team is very professional and responsive.
Moreover, they are excellent at following up on open bugs and offering thorough steps for resolution. Everyone I’ve interacted with at QA Wolf has been exceptionally friendly and professional.
I don't have anything that comes to mind that I would consider a dislike.
Our software is complex, and creating automated test coverage requires some upfront work that can be difficult to provide since our team is understaffed.
QA wolf's response time is so fast that it's hard to keep up. They have so many people standing by that if I message in-between meetings with I will have a quick response within a minute or two.

The best in automation and QA!

Reviewed 10 days ago

QA Wolf is a technological marvel. They help immensely with test automation and allow you to find issues before deploying anything to production. They are highly efficient, and as soon as they detect an error, they immediately communicate it through the proper channels so the problem can be resolved as quickly as possible. If your plan is to automate tests and prevent errors, QA Wolf is definitely your go-to option.

Pros

•Communication •Attention to detail •Automation •Priority support •Good work culture •Excellent technical level

Cons

There isn’t much weekend support, but they have a team in Australia that provides out-of-office hours coverage for those of us in Western time zones.

QA Wolf helps drive up our quality, while serving as an excellent third party team!

Reviewed 17 days ago

We lack a formal QA team, so QA Wolf helps us fill that gap and improve the quality of our product. As an added bonus, they also ask great questions that often times help us take a second look at certain features that might need a bit of a refresh.

Pros

The team is easy to work with and is quick to communicate. On top of that, the platform is cleanly laid out and informative. I particularly appreciate the Dashboard which provides a perfect high overview of where our features are at in terms of quality.

Cons

I don't have anything that comes to mind that I would consider a dislike!

Awesome Experience

Reviewed 17 days ago

Overall it’s been great working with QA Wolf. They’ve helped us automate our regression suite which has had a tremendous impact for us. It allowed more time for testing for new features and bug fixes.

Pros

QA Wolf is able to jump right in and begin automating manual test cases. Their team members also ask great questions to gain a deeper understanding of the product. That understanding translates to better test coverage. Overall, very professional and a pleasure to work with.

Cons

Growing pains with artifact generation, which has since been resolved.

QA Wolf Review

Reviewed 18 days ago

Overall experience is incredibly positive and collaborative. I like the fact that as our product evolves, we can adjust our testing suite. Since that's the nature of product development, it feels good knowing I'm not frustrating their team with inevitable pivots.

Pros

I love the humans behind the automation and the collaborative nature of everyone on their team. Additionally, I love that I don't have to worry about my product crashing or an error happening without me or a customer discovering it.

Cons

I think QA Wolf can improve their online portal a bit to be more user friendly and show more information on the automated tests in a more digestible way. Thankfully the turn around time is always really quick but being able to digest it myself is something I'd like to be easier,

A good service (and team!) that keeps getting better

Reviewed a month ago

I'm happy to be partnered with QA Wolf. They've really helped us to level up our quality efforts.

Pros

They're an extension of our team and collaborate well. They helped us rapidly improve our e2e coverage and provide a white glove service. Aside from their ability to deliver quality tests quickly I love that they manually verify test failures before filing a bug with us. That keeps the signal high and the noise low.

Cons

Their pricing model makes it expensive to use their service in a CD pipeline. We use it to test a preview environment with tagged releases, but it would be even better if every commit to master were verified. In other words, I would like to shift a little further left.

Automated QA Experience with QA Wolf

Reviewed a month ago

My overall experience with QA Wolf has been excellent. Their team consistently handles coverage requests swiftly, and they are always available to make adjustments or answer any questions. The bug reporting process is streamlined and effective, enabling us to address any regressions quickly when rolling out new features.

Pros

QA Wolf's ability to run comprehensive automated tests and accurately report bugs has significantly improved our product development process. Their system ensures no regressions occur with new releases, which saves me considerable time and allows me to focus on quality assurance for new features and bug fixes.

Cons

I have yet to encounter any cons. Even when issues such as false positives arise or we have new requests, the team is quick to respond and resolve them efficiently.

Peace of Mind

Reviewed 2 months ago

QA Wolf has caught enough regression bugs in very odd areas that I have confidence that our regression tests are doing a great job ensuring changes going out to production are not breaking important features. We have used the tests recently to confirm major projects prior to release. This has lead to smoother, less buggy releases.

Pros

The extensive attention to detail in regards to testing. Each test is targeted and thorough. When problems are found, they are quickly assessed and a bug is reported with clear details on the issue.

Cons

There could be a better way to alert QA Wolf that a bug has been addressed and ready to be tested again. On a few occasions, completed bugs remained open in QA Wolf. Most of the root causes of this have already been fixed.

QA Wolf is great!

Reviewed 2 months ago

Overall, it was fantastic. The customer support was great, the QA engineers were highly skilled, and they clearly knew what they were doing.

Pros

- QA Wolf employees are knowledgeable about both modern and traditional testing techniques, understanding how the latter have evolved into the former. - For example, they can differentiate between unit, integration, and end-to-end (e2e) tests. They are familiar with methodologies like "Arrange, Act, and Assert" or "Given, When, Then", and they have heard of the Testing Pyramid. - Their customer...

Cons

- Our team hasn't had the bandwidth to analyze all the tests yet, but there may be some tests that are of less value. I'd like to focus more on covering the most critical parts rather than just increasing the coverage percentage. - QA Wolf requested that we add test-ids to the app. However, our team prefers not to include test-ids in our production build for various reasons. We consider this the lowest priority: [sensitive content hidden]. Despite this, QA Wolf was very accommodating and allowed us to skip these tests, as they weren't part of a crucial flow to begin with.

QA Wolf provides an excellent platform for automated testing needs

Reviewed 2 months ago

Overall, the experience has been delightful and has saved our business hundreds of thousands of dollars in needing to build and manage hundreds of automated tests. The team is extremely capable and consistently collaborative over the two years we have worked with them.

Pros

QA Wolf spent the time upfront to understand our product and the needs of the business. They did a lot of work by themselves to independently explore the product and figure out what it does without much assistance with us, and came back to us with a test plan. Our product is particularly complex and not intuitive as it is designed for productivity in the mortgage origination space. Their team consistently understands and delivers on our asks without issue. Very rarely are any mistakes made, and the communication is very clear, which is critical when we depend on QA Wolf to ensure our product quality is at a high standard.

Cons

QA Wolf was a smaller company when we first started working with them and that presented a risk, but it was mitigated with the assurance that all test cases would be owned by us and we could export them at any time.

Partnership in Pack Form

Reviewed 2 months ago
Pros

QA Wolf has been an exceptional partner in elevating our quality assurance processes. Their ability to rapidly achieve and maintain a high level of automated test coverage has been transformative for our development workflow. The combination of their powerful testing platform and proactive service enables us to catch issues early, collaborate seamlessly as a team, and release with confidence. QA Wolf's commitment to continuous test maintenance and improvement ensures our quality keeps pace as our application evolves. The measurable gains in both the speed and reliability of our software delivery are a testament to the value QA Wolf provides. I highly recommend them to any organization looking to embed quality at the heart of their development process.

Cons

Relying on outsourced services can lead to less ownership and control compared to having testing fully in-house. This is not an issue with QA Wolf but the nature of outsourcing.

Indispensable partner in shipping quality software

Reviewed 2 months ago
Pros

QA Wolf has been an invaluable addition to our development process, providing dedicated expertise in writing and maintaining end-to-end tests, as well as managing our testing infrastructure. One of the standout advantages is the freedom it grants our developers. With QA Wolf handling the testing aspect, our development team can focus entirely on delivering new features without the added burden of worrying...

Cons

While QA Wolf has been instrumental in our testing processes, there have been occasional challenges that we've encountered. One notable issue has been the intermittent flakiness of some tests. Although this has been a point of concern, it's worth mentioning that QA Wolf has actively engaged with us to enhance the reliability of these tests. While work remains to minimize flakiness further, their responsiveness and collaboration in addressing these challenges have been commendable.

An absolute pleasure

Reviewed 3 months ago

QA Wolf has given us freedom from manual testing. Manual testing was incredibly time-consuming and a source of great anxiety for any new change given our extensive list of customizable options. These frustrations and now a thing of the distant past.

Pros

They are very particular about their hires. Each team member is personable, professional and hardworking. This combination isn't easy to find with tech professionals but now I know it's because QA Wolf poached them all.

Cons

No cons to note but because this textbox has a 40 character minimum, I'll make time say they're exciting to work with.

Great Product, Great Support

Reviewed 3 months ago

Great team, friendly, easy to work with, very professional. And the testing software is easy to use when I want to manually trigger runs.

Pros

The best thing about QA Wolf is the way they manage the test suites, sort out the results, and submit bug reports in real time. This saves our team hours per week of what we would spend manually testing and triaging release candidates.

Cons

Currently not able to run tests on dynamic preview URLs. But, I'm told this feature is coming soon and looking forward to it.

We use QA wolf as our primary mode of automated testing and as an integral part of our CI/CD processes and have been extremely please with the results.

Pros

QA Wolf earned our trust with their consistent, exceptional performance.

Reviewed 3 months ago

Everyone at QA Wolf is a pleasure to work with. They bring a great attitude to the partnership, a delightful friendly disposition, and an outstanding willingness to collaborate to find ways to work around infrastructure or process obstacles.

Pros

Ridiculously high responsiveness and availability from the entire team. Everyone from Automation Engineers to our fantastic Customer Success Manager are always ready to help us with coverage requests, unblocking test cases, finding uncovered edge cases and letting us know of any abnormalities that could put us at risk of deploying faulty software. They are extremely well organized—nothing falls through the cracks, and bringing up any need is as simple as just mentioning it.

Cons

At first we had some glitches tuning the integration between the platform and our project management software. The team has improved it and it has been smooth since then.

A responsive team providing first class support

Reviewed 3 months ago
Pros

The benefits of switching to QA Wolf have been outstanding. The QA Wolf team is very professional and responsive. When we request new coverage for a new feature, or modification of existing coverage, the requests are completed quickly and puts that coverage in place when we need it. When tests fail, we are alerted of a potential bug discovery within minutes, allowing us to address the issue before it reaches customers. The team proactively asks questions to understand our goals and removes barriers to help provide the test coverage we are looking for with our products.

Cons

Our experiences with QA Wolf have all been positive coming up to our first year of this partnership. We don't have any cons to share at this time.

QA Wolf is all you need for better

Reviewed 4 months ago
Pros

Ease of use, care from the QA Wolf team and their willingness to work with us on various needs.

Cons

Not much in terms of cons, but tests have to be specific at times which is in no way a bad thing from software development perspective, however, it is something that can affect our industry which has lots of moving targets related to 3rd party and associated dependencies. Do keep in mind that QA wolf team will work with you day and night to get any moving targets addressed.

QA Wolf is an integral part of Napster

Reviewed 4 months ago

We've got nothing but positive things to say about QA wolf. I cannot recommend them enough.

Pros

QA wolf's value is unmatched in the market. The test coverage, quality of tests, and excellent team that run the operation have been pivotal for us. They take care of testing which leaves our engineers to focus on high priority work and keep the ball rolling. They have been so willing to integrate into our flow rather then having a rigid framework we need to fit our process into, too, which makes it all the better.

Our overall experience with QA Wolf has been highly positive and productive. Their dedication to quality assurance and their proactive approach to addressing challenges have significantly contributed to freeing a lot of time from our QA team to focus on the new functionalities. The integration with our new functionalities was seamless, eliminating the need for a dedicated team member to explain how things work; instead, the QA Wolf team handled everything and asked questions when needed.

Pros

QA Wolf did a great job of onboarding us and helping integrate what they do into our existing workflow. Our engineers love the fact that they can push to production knowing that there is a test suite looking for regression errors. Pros

* The report quality is very detailed, with enough evidence to replicate on our end and fix whatever is missing in our app. * They have constant feedback with us using the communication platform we use by default (Slack). * The bug tracker web app they have gives us an insight into what's going on, what's blocking and what we can prioritize. Seriously love QA Wolf

Reviewed 4 months ago

QA wolf has been great from the beginning. I have had the experience of having them work with projects that have several different products and they are always able to adapt. They are also extremely easy to work being very adaptable. Everyone is super friendly and helpful.

Pros

### QA Wolf ReviewQA Wolf has been incredibly supportive and adaptive in assisting my team with a project that has undergone numerous changes. Despite frequent shifts in requirements and scope, QA Wolf has consistently managed to update their test cases promptly to keep pace. When bugs are reported, they provide a video with detailed steps on how to recreate the issue, which is a significant time saver for my team. The combination of detailed information and visuals is immensely helpful. Moreover, they are excellent at following up on open bugs and offering thorough steps for resolution. Everyone I’ve interacted with at QA Wolf has been exceptionally friendly and professional.

Cons

QA wolf's response time is so fast that it's hard to keep up. They have so many people standing by that if I message in-between meetings with I will have a quick response within a minute or two. Sometimes I am not prepared for that fast of a response. There is really nothing negative to say about QA wolf.
