Most bang for your buck for an IPaaS solution

Reviewed 4 years ago

We have been using Snaplogic since past 3+ years now and have been quite impressed with their offerings and functionality. What started initially as a tool to integrate few disparate DB's has now culminated into an enterprise wide software for all our non-application data integrations. They provide good support and can work out bugs on an as needed/priority basis. Sometimes, its a pain because your work is impacted or delayed but for most of the time they provide you a workaround just for your org to help keep the things moving. Having the ability to build template and quickly integrate different Data sources has been a major game changer for us.

Pros

Ease of use The UI has different shapes, color, size to easily categorize and help you search and pick what fits and what doesn't to complete your workflow Have developed a predictive ML(Machine learning) based app (called IRIS) within the designer to help developers identify which snap to use next Has the option to use their cloud processors or use native In-house servers to process your data Flexible and customized pricing Have connectors for most source systems out there

Cons

Not able to connect to every source available out there. Missing quite a few. could be under development. Enterprise support is good but can be much better Need to purchase different snap packs for different DB's or sources Not all languages are supported. Have basic support for Python

An intuitive cloud based integration product

Reviewed a year ago

Overall, it was an amazing experience with Snaplogic. From a capability perspective, the product was amazing. Being early adopters, whatever hurdles we came across, they were all addressed by the support team.

Pros

- Easy to use and easy to learn - 3 based portals, namely designer, manager and monitor which makes the overall management of the product easy - Vast number of pre-built connectors that are available with the product, some of them need separate subscription though. This makes the overall integration much faster to deliver - Being completely hosted in the cloud, it scales well as needed

Cons

- I wish product more options to authenticate and authorize integrated applications - I wish product had some kind of a variable that lives beyond the execution of a request. This is typically necessary in case where downstream system is secured with a short-lived dynamic token and we have to reuse a token until its expiry

Authentic

Reviewed 2 years ago

I loved the processing and organising of my own data both manually and auntomatically which helps me save time and give me space to add more data for my enterprise

Pros

The fact that the software can give u the authority to organise every data processed in ur enterprise is quit mind blowing , doesnt take alot of quality time for ur data to ; Existing databases and legacy systems Cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments Sales and marketing applications Mobile devices and apps CRM systems Data storage platforms Data warehouses Analytics tools

Cons

At first it is difficult to use , until u start each step by step It is inexpensive to the ones who can afford it

SnapLogic Review

Reviewed 4 years ago

We have been using SnapLogic for almost 2 years now and are continually impressed by their offerings and functionality improvements. The support offered by SnapLogic is usually rather responsive which makes bug fixing easier.

Pros

The biggest selling point for Snaplogic is the user interface and intuitive design. I received no training to use the software but was able to figure it out and within an hour or two I was building pipelines. I like how they are flexible with how you process your data. My company has GCP Servers that we're able to utilize because of their flexibility. The last point I will touch on is the wide range of source systems available as an input.

Cons

The only pain point I've found in Snaplogic is occasionally when connecting to SAP HANA it will say an error is present even though the snap has been validated already. The only way to fix the error is by created a new snap with the same information which can be frustrating.

A great timesaver

Reviewed 9 months ago
Pros

Being able to monitor and create reports for data usage and access saves a ton of time with auditing and reporting on data privacy compliance.

Cons

There is a bit of a learning curve, but the time saved once everything is set up more than makes up for it

Makes for a centralized ETL solution

Reviewed 6 years ago

We use snap logic as part of our ETL process for feeding data into our CMDB from disparate sources. This allows for an easy to track source for data loads.

Pros

Allows for easy tracking of feeds into a system. Easier firewall rules allow for more robust integrations. Lots of built-in integrations.

Cons

The learning curve is not difficult per se as it is quite graphical but until you get used to it it can be a little daunting.
