Pros

The software is great, the prices are below other products and the Customer SUpport is very good.

AF

Arthur F.

Very reliable high quality product with ability to back up information both locally and on the online platform, great value for money.

Joseph O.

I like the simple backup, the ease of integration with other programs. Your storage reliability with encryption.

Silfrido G.

Cons

The load of functions can be overwhelming, especially with all of the cryptic abbreviations. Honestly though, this is not a real con, but rather my own problem.

AR

Lack of support SQL Server 2017, Difficult to review backup manage stats vs billed amounts.

AT

Andrew T.

Inability to RESTORE to "another location" OTHER than the local C: drive of the computer you are administering from.

RM

Cons

Also, the lack of a centralized intelligence for the backup system means there's no way for global deduplication, so no storage optimization can be obtained.

AR

Anonymous Reviewer

No way to search for a file in the entire backup set. Users are left alone dealing with the cloud service account setup and configuration options.

I have had some errors pop up on restore that made me change some settings. Had I not tested it and needed to restore, we would've been screwed.

Set It and Forget It Backup

Reviewed 7 months ago

I use MSP360 backup on all of the PCs in the house and to backup one of my elderly relative's PC. I'm also about to set it up for my Father for his backups. I backup to Wasabi storage (highly recommended) for cheap, fast, reliable backups for my entire household!

Pros

Basically once it's setup all I have to do is keep an eye on the email alerts for possible issues and it just works!

Cons

It does occasionally suffer from a few small bugs, but that's the beauty with MSP360; the support is awesome!

Great tool for selective backup to own cloud storage

Reviewed 3 years ago

We wanted to move away from our local network backup to cloud-based backup-solution to allow backups from remote-offices or on the go. CloudBerry gives us nice flexibility to get centralized backup wherever the users are.

Pros

We valued most the ability to have scheduled backup jobs to backup selective files from mac os to our own Amazon S3 bucket.

Cons

I didn't find anything major to complain. I think the setup was quite technical, but it's was not problem for our tech.savvy users.

Good backup solution for photos

Reviewed 4 years ago

Backup

Pros

I was searching for a solution that would allow me to backup photos to two separate drive accounts and amazon glacier. CloudBerry has this and many more cloud providers. In windows it starts as a system service for all the users, which makes it great if you want to create backup for more than one user. For Google Drive it is also much faster than Google's cloud sync and backup client.

Cons

No issues so far. It would be great if it was also integrated with photos specific providers (Google Photos, flickr, Amazon Prime Photos), but this is more like a feature request than a con.

Great solution for CP migration

Reviewed 3 years ago

Migrating to a different solution due to CrashPlan for Home being discountinued. I am many friends, family, and charity/non-profits who depended on CP. Giving them an easy solution to continue their backup plans at a decent price is great.

Pros

It allows for cloud backup to most any destination AND has local backups too.

Cons

Sometimes the backup plans clash with each other due to VSS. Instead of waiting (or being allowed to set some type of contingency) it fails and you have to either manually start it or wait for its next scheduled backup.

Create backups easily with cloudberry Backup

Reviewed 2 years ago

Cloudberry Backup is perfectly related to other backup management software. It also allows working simultaneously with other departments through its multi-user extension. It is a really practical software for quick backup creation business solutions.

Pros

Facilitates activity in work teams by allowing cooperative writing of documents. It also has integration to HR software, among others. Handles a wide data tolerance, and supports file upload regardless of size.

Cons

Does not include document personalization gadgets such as electronic signatures. Nor does it allow linking the data bank directly with the Workflow, so each file must be loaded manually. Its free version offers little storage, which is a big drawback.

Stable and secure backup

Pros

A very clear and simple user Interface. Managing backups and restores is quite easy and straightforward. I decided for this solution as I have AES256 bit encryption already at the endpoint. Additionally there is a wide variety of supported cloud-providers including options with cold or cool storage accounts. Very important: Customer support is quick and helpful!

Pros

Is it easy to use and configure. You can run File-Level Backup and Virtual Machine Backup also which is a great advantage, you can cover your backup in different levels.

Cons

This has been a bad experience when I tried to recover for the first time in a real situation and I was not able to do it. I called the support and they just said that there was a bug in the system and it was not possible run the restore. I tried to recover 2 files from a VM backup and the support told me that I had to recover the whole VM which was totally crazy. That was one year ago, and I am still waiting for a solution. Since that time, I had to start running 2 different backup, one VM backup and one File-Level BAckup

Quick and easy personal backup solution

Reviewed a year ago

I'm an individual who was looking for a cloud backup solution for my physical backup on external hard drives. I combined MSP360 CloudBerry Backup with Wasabi S3 storage. I only have about 1TB worth of data and want full control over my data.

Pros

The process to set up an automated backup to Wasabi S3 storage was quick and painless. Set up your target storage location, choose your desired items to back up, set parameters, hit go! During the initial backup, it responded well to picking up where it left off when closing the app or shutting down the computer for the day.

Cons

The initial backup progress meter was a bit misleading, indicating only X amount of files and gb were backing up, but I knew for certain that there was so much more! Once completed, I spot-checked and found no issues thus far. It would be great to have a more visual completion confirmation. You can view the structure of your backup, but it's not clearly indicated whether or not it's finished, in progress or in queue.

MSP360 Backup

Most reliable cloud backup for S3 / B2

Reviewed 2 years ago

I back up a personal Linux (UNRAID) server to BackBlaze B2. Using CloudBerry helps me save money on backup costs and add more control over my backups.

Pros

Tested several other Linux applications, including DIY, and found CloudBerry to be the most reliable for several reasons: - Backing up always worked. - Restoring went without a hitch. - Set it and forget it. - Automated notifications. - Low system memory usage, and allows customizing the threads. - Customizable backup schedules: some directories I do daily, others weekly, and semi-monthly full-backups of everything! - Support is only an e-mail away -- and they are quick to respond.

Cons

The interface could use some finesse. I ran in to an error message that was vague and unhelpful when configuring my initial backups, but I e-mailed support and literally within 24 hours was responded to. (In the end, the error was because I was using the application inside of a Docker container which was not properly configured for the permissions!) More granular controls of the network configuration would be helpful.
