With Splashtop Remote Support we can effectively manage both our own PCs and servers, as well as that of our clients remotely. The switch from LogMeIn went smoothly, and we've found that the remote support sessions connect far quicker and are more reliable than LogMeIn. Overall we are very satisfied with Splashtop and glad that we've made the switch.
Easy setup Quick and stable remote connections Security features Easy to learn and administer Low bandwidth requirements Anti-malware integration
Rollout via Active Directory is a bit tricky, but doable Only the main admin user is able to create delegated admin accounts

Pretty good overall but often machines are not accessible from mobile even when the Streamer is running, it throws unavailability errors. If the streamer or application is not up to date often they simply do not connect to one another.
The ability to wake up, restart, and update the agent remotely from the admin panel.
Clunky to install, maintain, Interface needs an update. Different product line makes it unnecessarily confusing. SOS , Business, etc.
Hello Peter, Thank you for your feedback on Splashtop. We appreciate your positive comments about our numerous remote management capabilities. We understand your concerns regarding installation difficulties, maintenance challenges, and the need for interface updates. Improving user experience is a priority for us and your feedback is invaluable to achieving that. Thank you for choosing Splashtop, and please reach out to our support team with any further suggestions or issues.

i have used it for several years and i also have gotoassist during the same time. goto assist i will use for a few quick and dirty things. but prefer splashtop if i am going to do multi monitor or 4k monitors.
i like how fast it is with multiple monitors at the remote site. including the ability to have separate windows for each monitor. you cant do that with gotoassist
the admin interface for assigning users and what machines they control is confusing.

We have solved numerous issues such as on site printer issues, upgrades etc.
This software is able to do everything TeamViewer could do but for a quarter of the price. Our IT department love the software and have already told friends and family to jump on board.
That you can not take full control of a mobile device from a desktop admin.

With machines spread over a few local offices it provides a quick and easy way to take care of admin and support.
Looked at other remote admin software but found prices ouf our sort of budget. Just finished a trial of this software and will absolutely be signing up for a 10 machine license as its so competitively priced.
No option to connect to machine orectly via local area network, all connections go over the internet which adds unecessary lag but other than that it runs smoothly and is fully featured.

Needed a lower cost remote access product that would not keep increasing in price each year. Also need to start support users with MAC and Splashtop allows us to do both with one client!
Just works - easy to implement the Splashtop Streamers in remote PC's and Business Admin PC client is very clean and fast.
Have not found any cons during trial and going live.

I'm an MSP providing support to small to medium size businesses, I need a cost effective, reliable mobile support tool for all operating systems and Splashtop does it for me. I moved from Teamviewer as it was expensive and cumbersome and wasn't able to support me with a solution unique to my business.
Easy to use, better screen render than teamviewer, easy to install and great admin controls. Also allowed me to distribute and manage remote administrators.
does not work on Linux well. Sometimes it does not work and no reason for connection issues. but quick reboot of streamer and the problem is sorted.

Assisting users with the installation of apps and programs on their new Windows 10 PC's.
The software is easy to set up, for both the Admin and the User. Takes about five minutes and you're done. Once the connection is made, you'll have no problem making changes and assisting the User.
So far, there is nothing I don't like about the software. Would be nice if my plan was able to add on more computer.

So far we have had a great experience using Splashtop.
Most, if not all of the features of "the other guys" without the price tag they have. Easy to set up, train on and use.
Maybe a couple of features missing. Also, when a remote user is connected via the VPN, it is hit or miss whether we can sign in with Admin credentials.

It is cheapear than others, it works like a charm. Worth every peny! you can manage all your computers from a pc or a mobile, you can assign groups, users, and have remote control over your systems.
This is a really good software to both remote connect and manage computers. You can have teams (or groups) and assign groups to users to manage. Very good for IT-Pros
Sometimes it feels more complex to manage computers and users that it is. mind you - only the admin on the website feels complex to me. Everything else works perfectly fine.

Great for supporting customers on almost any platform. Full access to computer including ability to log on as user or admin. Pricing model of per technician rather than per machine makes this product very attractive. Rock solid stable too.
SOS product does exactly what I needed. Occasional unattended support on a lot of computers, on almost every OS platform. There are things this product doesn't do, so you may need the enterprise product, but this product gives you a lot of bang for the buck.

Easy to deploy.Easy to use.You can assign individual users to give support. You can assign an end-user to have access to a particular computer if needed.Great price for what it offers. The ability to wake up computers.
The only think that is not that good, is that you need a user with admin permission in order to connect to a PC (you can't do it with a key like other products).
Hello Martin, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're delighted to hear that you find Splashtop to be a great tool for remote support. We appreciate your positive comments on the ease of deployment and use, as well as the flexibility to assign individual users for support and grant specific access to end-users. We're pleased to provide value for the features offered. Regarding the admin permission requirement, we understand your concern and are continuously working to enhance user experience. Your feedback is invaluable, and we'll consider this aspect for future improvements. If you have any further suggestions or questions, please feel free to reach out. Thank you for choosing Splashtop.

My job between others, is educating young students on music production, compotition etc. And part of this is working on their projects in real time. Have you heard orchestral music in mono? Its really difficult and this was my reality until i found splashtop. This is the only program delivering stereo sound and for audio applications this is really precious. I highly recommend.
There is a slight confussion when you try to set it up for the first time cause admin and users don't install the same program. But some google and youtube searching will get you there.

We have a lot of remote users that use Teams and Skype. Those are great for easy problems, but when issues need admin privileges, you need something else. We tried a lot of different ones before we made a decision. Splashtop SOS gives all the bells and whistles and more at a great price. The three big things we need are, admin privileges, file transfer, and multiple monitors. This gives us those items and more. Not only does it allow you to switch between monitors, you can drag the multiple monitors across your screens to see it the way the user on the other end sees them as well. Great product.
It has all of the features of some of the more expensive competitors, but at a much lower price. It is very easy to use and deploy.
As of right now there is not really anything not to like about this software.

Splashtop was easy to install, set up and integrate. It's ease of use make my life so much better and it allows me to log in from anywhere to keep the corporate books from wherever I am.
I love that I can manage the corporate non-profit finance and admin from anywhere. It's ease of use and integrations are top-notch. I can copy from my screen and paste into the remote computer. I can screenshot the remote computer or my computer. It's just incredibly easy to use.
There is nothing I don't like. It literally fits all my needs and is super easy to use.

We switched from TeamViewer to Splashtop mainly due to price and the amount of admin users we could have at one time. Splashtop provides a secure and relatively easy-to-use way to remotely access other users' machines to assist with a multitude of program issues. We love the choice we made!
Easy to set up as an admin user. We get a unique company URL that we can provide our site users, which cuts down on product download time each time we want to access a remote machine. Secure connection using unique 9-digit access code, similar to 2-factor authentication codes you'd get on your smartphone.
The only major downside is that, by default, when connected remotely, Splashtop allows for simultaneous mouse control between the admin and site user. This can sometimes be an annoyance in overlap over who actually is controlling the screen at one time.

Splashtop makes it really feel as though you are standing in front of the device, actively using it, regardless of the operating system. I was able to use terminal and command prompt/admin commands with no issues. Customizing the SOS app for our end users was a breeze and actually fun! I couldn't reccommend Splashtop enough for remote support.
It costs money and it doesn't come preinstalled on hardware when I purchase it from manufacturers! Haha.

This was a cost effective alternative to what we were using for remote support that we ended up liking even better. Splashtop is more intuitive to use, more responsive, and a better overall feel.
I do wish there were more customization to the roles in user management. My team cannot operate the software in the capacity that they need unless they are assigned the Admin role. Making each role have customization would go a long way in taking care of this.

Compared to IntelliAdmin that we used previously, it's great that this product shows us the list of all PCs with the program installed and allows us to search to find the user's PC. I've used it on my phone and well and it's very responsive.
The first time I log on to any PC, I have to type in my admin username/password and save the credentials. Again, compared to IntelliAdmin, I preferred it that my credentials could be stored on my account level, not on the PC level that I am remoting on to.

It has been very good experience with software, it works ok with our needs. there are few options and features if they are added it will be perfect software and compete with advanced solutions that have been in the market for years.
The software is straight fw....client download the software, generate the code and the tech can use the code to log into the computer remotely. It is stable, fast and work great. can see connected sessions or that were connected from the admin console. depending on your license you can have more than 1 tech connected to same session and u can have unattended access as well depending on the license.
with mac we have to enable settings in system to allow splashtop to take control but this is mainly Mac os system issue. The client has to generate the code every time from his end.....if it can work the other way it will be easier....I mean we generate the code for him or he can just install software then it appear on our end. If there is an icon on the desktop that the client can click on to appear on the admin console it will be great. it doesn't capture windows user password for reboot.
Hello, Thank you so much for the rating and review. Sounds like you are using our Splashtop On-Demand Support (SOS) which is designed for having a quick and efficient connection to your users' Windows, Mac, iOS and Android devices with a simple session code and the code will be generated each time automatically to provide an extremely secure on-demand remote access solution. Regarding your comment, Splashtop is integrated with freshservice and allows a workflow similar to what you describe for technicians who want to have remote access to their end users. The technician can reply to a ticket embedding an SOS link and later connect to the end user's computer without the end user needing to provide a session code. Here's more information for your reference: https://support-splashtopbusiness.splashtop.com/hc/en-us/articles/360031448651-Freshservice-Integration If you would like to discuss specific points, we are at your disposal. One of the problems I have run into with other remote software programs is that the program will go dormant on my end when the operation on the far end is trying to execute a task that requires admin credentials, but I do not have that issue with Splashtop. I am able to get programs updated, and I can access all of the files that are stored on the local hard drives, as well as access the company NAS drive.
I manage a small office's computer systems, and Splashtop is perfect for what I need. I am able to remotely connect to any computer within this office's network to run update. make sure backups are being performed, and monitor antivirus programs. Setting up the client software on opposite was also very easy, and the security involved is very manageable.
Like I said, this software is perfect for my needs, but I could see how this may be lacking in some features for a larger operation.

We needed a replacement product for remote access of our local desktops both from our satellite office as well as in the event stay at home orders went back into effect. Other products I've used in the past for this purpose have been so slow and unresponsive that even with fast internet it was painful to try to work using remote access. Splashtop is very fast and works very well. It was also available at an incredibly reasonable price for the number of users our firm needed.
Probably the most important aspect of this software is how fast and responsive it is. Programs I've used in the past have had a lag where my curser doesn't track as quickly as my mouse movements, or text is entered more slowly than I type. Splashtop feels almost like I am working on the desktop locally rather than remotely accessing it. It also has nice features for transferring files, printing locally or remotely, locking the screen and controls of the remote desktop, and a live chat feature (although I do not really use the chat feature).
It is a bit tedious to set up the program on different computers due to all of the authentications emails, it takes a little while to familiarize oneself with the admin controls, and you need to take steps to make sure that the Splashtop Streamer app is running in the background when you try to launch the remote access, which can be confusing to explain to users that are not technologically savvy.

Splashtop has allowed us to confidently provide secure, remote access for technicians to help end users and remote manage systems for maintenance and support. The product has been very reliable and the costs and licensing model make it well worth it. The licensing which is based on the number of technicians instead of endpoints, benefits organizations like ours with many computers but few technicians.
Our priority when looking for a solution for remote access and support was transparency and access control. With remote access, controlling access is critical. Our previous product, TeamViewer, had many back-doors that could not be managed or audited. For comparison, here are some vulnerabilities in TeamViewer...- Anyone with local admin rights can create a password to remote connect to the computer. This allows any-time access, without the system administrator even knowing that access had been setup.- TeamViewer displays a unique code that anyone at the computer can see, write down, and use to connect remotely. A policy can be setup to rotate the code after each session, but the code itself could not be entirely disabled.- Setting certain access policies to mitigate these issues, such as white lists, created problems when software vendors also used TeamViewer for remote one-time product support.By contrast...- Splashtop only allows remote access if the user/tech has active credentials in the organization.- Access can be further restricted by making sure that the remote user has local (AD) credentials for the remote endpoint.- Modifying the client on an endpoint can be restricted by supplying Splashtop credentials so that even a local admin can't modify them
Splashtop works great for our needs, and I have almost no complaints. The user interface works well but doesn't look very modern or pretty. This is the first thing that currently comes to mind when I think about ways to improve the product.
Hello Jim, Thank you for sharing your experience with Splashtop. We're thrilled to hear that Splashtop has met your organization's needs. Your comments regarding the reliability and cost-effectiveness of Splashtop's licensing model are valuable to us as we continue to enhance our offerings. We appreciate your feedback regarding the user interface and rest assured, we continuously strive to enhance both functionality and aesthetics to ensure an optimal user experience. We're delighted to have you as part of the Splashtop community and look forward to continually supporting your remote access needs.

I stumbled across Splashtop after looking at the price on 'No I in Teams 😉' website, I certainly wasn't gonna be able to justify that price to the higher ups. I had a search on the interwebs and found Splashtop offering a free trial! Installed it, used it and was immediately impressed and pleased to have found a solution that worked and fit our budget.
If you're a large company or corporate entity you can no doubt afford to implement the more well known remote access software, but there's no I in TEAM...Am I right? My company has less then 20 employees, spread across three locations and we have less than 10 PC's on the network. In the current climate we have to be careful with regards to business expenses but we still need to be able to provide support remotely, in my opinion other Remote Admin companies only price there products to bigger business and have no time for smaller companies like us. Splashtop provide a product that whilst being affordable also has all the features necessary to get the job done.
Its difficult to find things not to like, its a great bit of software and has never let me down. If I have to single something out, from time to time there can be a little lag but its never so severe as to make operation difficult.
