Pros

I love how easy it was to set up on my computer and the computer that I was accessing remotely. I also love how simple it is to use.
I've used LogMeIn, GoToMyPC, Team Viewer, and other products before. Splashtop is as good as any of them, and at a better price, creating the best value.
I like that I am able to access up to 10 computers, I like that I am able to access multiple computer simultaneously. I also like that I am able to reboot the accessed computer with ease.

Pros

I have found the software to be intuitive and user friendly, with great features and capabilities. The support team has been incredibly helpful, offering timely and accurate answers to my questions.
The quality of recordings is great and very detailed. Doing a search within the recordings helps to narrow down to what you are looking for.
I find it a very intuitive and affordable audit tool that also supports our security needs. We are planning to roll it our across all of our network infrastructure to give us even greater insights.

Cons

Previously I refused to pay for apps which lack performance. I had no reluctance in paying for this one.
The only thing I do not like, is that there are occasions where the full screen does not work and I am unable to see the task bar on the remote desktop.
It was very difficult for me to change my password on splashtop when I forgot it. That was my only issue with splashtop.

Cons

There is no real lack of function we miss so I don't have any negative to say.
The only thing I didn't like was the inability to record only when an alert was generated.
In the beginning, we faced some technical difficulties when upgrading to newer versions.

Splashtop has been a near perfect solution for our internal support needs. Every workstation in our organization can be accessed to provide support. With multiple locations and remote users it has been one of our best/most valuable support tools.

Pros

Easy and customizable deployment, runs as a service on remote station, client automatically updates, mobile friendly interface. Can also create security groups for others accessing remote stations and control/limit access by group.

Cons

Access is to the desktop only, would be nice to have access to services, task manager, and system updates without logging in to desktop. System resource usage seems a little excessive during the remote session.

Great product to be able to Remote Log-In on a computer

The ability to have our billing company log-in to a computer on our server from a separate location.

Pros

We have a billing company in another state and our system is based off our server, not a cloud-based system. So we need a Remote Log-In program that is easy to use, secure AND a reasonable price. Splashtop is perfect!

Cons

We honestly have not had any cons with this program. We really like how easy it is to use and to update security features.

Access to a remote computer which controls a building management system for a campus.

Pros

I like that ease of use and the high security level. Good to see the list of computers available on the front screen.

Cons

Sometimes when I login, the desktop screen shown for the remote computer is limited in size. Too small to see. Not sure if it's an issue with the software or with the actual remote computer.

Perfect Remote Support Tool

Once you customize the registry keys for the splashtop streamer you will have a perfect experience. Some annoying options to customize are sound and num lock settings. Integrates well with our RMM Atera and is even free of charge there. Connection is stable even in remote and very low bandwidth situations.

Pros

Stable and fast remote connections to any system no matter if internal or external. Direct chat and file transfers with the client. Option to have the client approve the connection requests or refuse, for non-server systems. Can be set up thru regedit entry. Various customizations and optimizations are possible thru registry keys, to customize the experience for the support technician and the client.

Cons

Nothing negative to say. Offers all the basic and some more advanced functionality you could think of you need while remotely connecting to a system.

Overall deployment and use has been super smooth. I do daily updates and system maintenance from my desk or off site if an emergency arises.

Pros

We were in need of simple remote login/management for our retail operation. Splashtop fits the bill perfectly. I especially like how fast / smooth the screen sharing is, just like being there in person.

Cons

I would like to have more information quickly displayed such as programs / processes running, without needing to launch the task manager

Low cost, but a great product.

Pros

Easy to install, ability to set up computer groups, ease of creating user access rights, built-in feature to swap between monitors (if you accessing a system that has multiple monitors)

Cons

It does not display well if you try to remote in from a cell phone. If your connection drops, you have to wait a minute or two before you can log back in.

I switched from another program that was always delayed and freezing up. I have not once had a problem with Splashtop Business. It is just like I am sitting at the computer at the restaurant.

Pros

I do not have to go to my restaurant to fix problems with our point of sale system. Instead I can remote in from home and fix the majority of problems.

Cons

There is noting I do not like about this software. It is hands down better than the last product I used and much more reliable.

Splash top for remote working

Great experience overall. We went from in office to fully remote in 2 days thanks to splash top. While there are some growing pains for the most part it is user error and not the software.

Pros

This software was essential during the COVID pandemic! It was quick to set up on 30+ computers and the end users quickly adapted to the platform. The option for full screen record is also a great bonus feature.

Cons

The training aspect of explaining how video and voice calling through the system was complicated for some users. If there was a best practices module when activating the software I feel end users would have a better experience.

Simple, affordable, and rock solid reliability

Pros

Splashtop is easy to use and set up esp with their "distribution links" to download the software on each machine in your business you want to control. The UI that lets you connect to computers you're managing is very simple and makes it easy to see info about the system like last time it was online, OS version/update version etc. It is rock solid reliability wise and I have never once seen it fail to connect. It's also much more affordable than any other remote access system out there that I've found, and supports a wide range of computers like older win 7 machines etc.

Cons

It's very hard for me to think of any cons with splashtop remote access. The only one I can think of is that the file transfer tool could be a little faster, and the UI for file transfers is kind of old school/ugly. It's a bit hard to find the right folder on both machines since it's a two-up view and you have to navigate through both machines at once. They should consider a wizard mode where you first browse for file(s) on your local machine, then browse for the folder on the remote machine where you want to transfer it to. But this is really minor and certainly we wouldn't switch because of it.

Easy way to offer helpdesk support to clients

It has been very good experience with software, it works ok with our needs. there are few options and features if they are added it will be perfect software and compete with advanced solutions that have been in the market for years.

Pros

The software is straight fw....client download the software, generate the code and the tech can use the code to log into the computer remotely. It is stable, fast and work great. can see connected sessions or that were connected from the admin console. depending on your license you can have more than 1 tech connected to same session and u can have unattended access as well depending on the license.

Cons

with mac we have to enable settings in system to allow splashtop to take control but this is mainly Mac os system issue. The client has to generate the code every time from his end.....if it can work the other way it will be easier....I mean we generate the code for him or he can just install software then it appear on our end. If there is an icon on the desktop that the client can click on to appear on the admin console it will be great. it doesn't capture windows user password for reboot.

The software allows to connect to a client's device within seconds and provide immediate assistance, regardless of the operating system or device type. I liked the possibility of using it also with Android and iOS, very useful. I recommend it for anyone who does remote support.

Pros

With Splashtop SOS, I was able to provide remote assistance without any difficulties for the customer. No need to install with advanced configurations. This makes it easy to provide support to clients who are not tech-savvy or who may have difficulty installing software. I found it fast and performing in every use.

Cons

The cost is not high, but not cheap either. For a small or medium-sized company it becomes important, especially in the presence of multiple technician workstations.

Pros

Splashtop makes it really feel as though you are standing in front of the device, actively using it, regardless of the operating system. I was able to use terminal and command prompt/admin commands with no issues. Customizing the SOS app for our end users was a breeze and actually fun! I couldn't reccommend Splashtop enough for remote support.

Cons

It costs money and it doesn't come preinstalled on hardware when I purchase it from manufacturers! Haha.

Pros

Price-performance on the features offered compared to other similar tool is outstanding. Support is responsive and thorough. The only reliability issues I've seen so far have been directly related to resources on the client.

Cons

No ability to change settings from the management portal post-deployment--you either have to build a new deployment package and redeploy or to individually change the settings on each system if you need to make a global setting change. Separate windows for multi-monitored clients would be a welcome feature addition.

Crisis Management

This has entirely saved my business during this crisis. We could not have managed this with out this type of solution. i expect that when things get back to "normal" we will be allowing our staff to work remotely much more often.

Pros

The best thing we found about Splashtop was the easy installation and set up. Like everyone else during this pandemic, we had to scramble to give our staff access to their desktops remotely. This all had to be done quickly and user friendly for some very non-technical staff members. Implementation went very smoothly and with only minor incidents, and most of those were user issues. What was also helpful was that it was across multiple equipment and operating system types. All have worked well.

Cons

The only issues I am hearing about are related to jumpy screens and disconnects, but I attribute that mostly to bandwidth issues with the user.

Awesome work from home software

Overall everything has been wonderful with this software. I love it.

Pros

I LOVE how easy this software is to use and how fast the system moves when you are working remotely. The previous software we used was so difficult to log in and when you finally did log in it was SO Slow. This software is awesome. Very easy to use, setup was super easy, and the options available once logged in are amazing. I have 2 screens in my office, but only 1 screen at home, but when I log in it gives me the only to only see 1 monitor or two.

Cons

There isn't much I don't like abou this software. I think it's a great remote software and it really makes it easy for me to login from home when I need it and it connects super quick.

Daily use for IT Support - Almost flawless

My overall experience with Splashtop is great. If I send them a question, which is rare due to the simplicity of the software, they answer very quickly. I have even called and gotten to talk to a real person that knows what they are talking about.

Pros

I have an advanced account, which means I can let my clients setup a free Splashtop account, then I can give them access to their specific computer for their own home acess. I have used this for over 40 computers and users during the pandemic, and it has been one of the best things I have ever used. These people have multiple monitors at work, and I setup their home computers to match, so they can...

Cons

What I like least is the fact that Apple will not let Splashtop SOS control and iPad or iPhone instead of just seeing what the user is doing.

Remote Access Software That Works Well and Doesn't Compromise Access Control

Splashtop has allowed us to confidently provide secure, remote access for technicians to help end users and remote manage systems for maintenance and support. The product has been very reliable and the costs and licensing model make it well worth it. The licensing which is based on the number of technicians instead of endpoints, benefits organizations like ours with many computers but few technicians.

Pros

Our priority when looking for a solution for remote access and support was transparency and access control. With remote access, controlling access is critical. Our previous product, TeamViewer, had many back-doors that could not be managed or audited.For comparison, here are some vulnerabilities in TeamViewer...- Anyone with local admin rights can create a password to remote connect to the computer....

Cons

Splashtop works great for our needs, and I have almost no complaints. The user interface works well but doesn't look very modern or pretty. This is the first thing that currently comes to mind when I think about ways to improve the product.
