Splashtop Easy to Access

Reviewed 3 years ago

Set up was easy- just download and start use. Their support team are only a phone call away with answers to your questions.

Pros

This software makes it easy to access your desktop. The touch pad feature is smooth and works just like the touch pad on your desktop. Zoom in and out, change programs, and access a keyboard quickly this program does it all.

Cons

After just a little practice you’ll be using it like a pro. I use it on my iPad to access my laptop screen from anywhere in the building.

Splashtop works great

Reviewed 4 years ago

Easy to set up, easy to connect remotely, easy to switch screens as needed

Pros

A reasonably priced, cost effective alternative to LogMeIn. Works well for me and easy to setup. Love being able to connect remotely.

Cons

Originally when I purchased the software a couple of years ago, it did not support dual monitors, which wasn't a huge issue, but a downside. Splashtop has now added that functionality and it works well.

Savior Product

Reviewed 5 months ago

This program was a savior during covid. It allowed me and continues to allow me to work remotely as I have to access accounting programs that cannot be accessed outside of the office network.

Pros

I like that it doesnt really feel like its a remote desktop, more like an extension of my desktop. Barely any lag at all.

Cons

The only thing I do not like, is that there are occasions where the full screen does not work and I am unable to see the task bar on the remote desktop.

Splashtop Business has been a reliable, cost-effective solution for me.

Reviewed 5 years ago

Remote access features and performance meet my needs at reasonable cost.

Pros

High quality remote access, including sound and access to multiple monitors, and apps. Licensing model is perfect for my needs. Technical support is very responsive to finding solutions and implementing requested features. Focused on remote access, not unnecessary feature bloat.

Cons

Early versions were behind in some features, but has caught up with the most important. Yearly licensing. Access by client app only.

Excellent service !!

Pros

The speed, ease of use from laptop or smart phone but most of all.. pricing is competitive. I’ve used logmein and few others. But hands down what swayed me was pricing

Cons

There are no dislikes, I like everything about the service

The best of many we've tried!

Reviewed 2 years ago

Splashtop rescued us during the pandemic and we will continue to use it for employees who must work outside of the office

Pros

Splashtop is faster and has better resolution than most remote desktop software solutions. There is an option to view two monitors and print remotely.

Cons

Of course, Splashtop, like any other remote desktop software, has a bit of a lag and you can't set it to stay logged in, indefinitely.

Best in the industry

Reviewed 4 years ago

I like this product so much that I've had my clients sign up for their own personal use...they love it, too!

Pros

I've tried other software for connecting to my clients' computers, but none allowed me to easily transfer files, print to my printer, or switch from one account to another. I like EVERYTHING about this software including the price!

Cons

I can't say anything negative about Splashtop!

Ease of using Splashtop

Reviewed 3 years ago

Overall having access to my desktop from remote settings has saved me peace of mind knowing that I can preform my job without possibly putting myself or others in a position to spread the virus. I also love the fact now that if something was to come up business wise I don't have to be in my office to handle the problem. I have an 1 hour commute from my house to the office, if i'm able to fix the problem from my house or tablet I've just saved 2 hours of my time driving, fuel, ware and tear on my vehicle.

Pros

I'm very happy with how easy Splashtop was to set up my remote devices so I was able to access my desk top from remote at my home PC, on my iPad, or on my iPhone. During these times of having to work remote due to the Covid-19 restrictions, Splashtop allowed me to not miss a beat from my daily actives involved with my work schedule.

Cons

one item (which hasn't came up, luckily) is if my desktop at work is not on (ie: we have a power interruption, or someone was to shut down my PC at work) I would not have remote access to it. Which means I would have to drive to the office to start up my desktop, or hope someone is at the office to fire up my computer for me.

Splash top for remote working

Reviewed 3 years ago

Great experience overall. We went from in office to fully remote in 2 days thanks to splash top. While there are some growing pains for the most part it is user error and not the software.

Pros

This software was essential during the COVID pandemic! It was quick to set up on 30+ computers and the end users quickly adapted to the platform. The option for full screen record is also a great bonus feature.

Cons

The training aspect of explaining how video and voice calling through the system was complicated for some users. If there was a best practices module when activating the software I feel end users would have a better experience.

Vendor response

Hi Allison, Thanks for the comment. In response to the recent coronavirus outbreak, Splashtop provides the best WFH solutions for all kinds of business scenarios. For the installation, you could also visit our support page. I believe you will find lots of auxiliary tools for your business. Fantastic Resource - Great Value

Reviewed 3 years ago
Pros

This was very easy to assess, evaluate and implement for our team. COVID closures were sudden and with minimal training we were able to continue working from home. Dual monitor support was a deal maker.

Cons

Installation instructions were difficult for my users they didn't clearly understand what happened where. The remotely managed computers must have the monitors on to be able to use them.

Easy to install, easy to use at an affordable price

Reviewed 5 years ago

Better customer service.

Pros

As an independent worker, I use Splashtop to access my computers from different work sites and it works very well and reliably.

Cons

Its file transfer function is unable to synchronise the files in directory structures. It either rewrite them or skips the whole. When the directory structure contains gigabytes of data, rewriting is very slow and annoying when only a few files have changed.

Splashtop delivers stereo sound

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

My job between others, is educating young students on music production, compotition etc. And part of this is working on their projects in real time. Have you heard orchestral music in mono? Its really difficult and this was my reality until i found splashtop. This is the only program delivering stereo sound and for audio applications this is really precious. I highly recommend.

Cons

There is a slight confussion when you try to set it up for the first time cause admin and users don't install the same program. But some google and youtube searching will get you there.

Splashtop during Lockdown

Reviewed 2 years ago

We had to work from home during the Covid lockdown and used other software which was not so user friendly and required a password each time we connected. If the PC went to sleep then we could not get connected without going to the office. I initially had a free trial with Splashtop and it was so easy to use that we purchased a licence

Pros

Splashtop was very easy to use and connects to my work PC easily giving full access to my files and applications in a familiar layout

Cons

At the moment there is nothing to criticise about Splashtop as it is doing exactly what we require

As a long time customer of Logmein I made the switch to Splashtop and have been very satisfied.

Reviewed 5 years ago

It is how I do my business minute by minute. I run a support desk and we use it to remotely fix our customers.

Pros

Ability to group customers, Clone deployments and connect 99.99 percent of the time. I also like the security when building new users and having to verify via email.

Cons

Miss the "Notes" option but you can still get there via the properties tab. The notes area is where I keep passwords for each user.

As mentioned above 'truly exceeded all expectations' !

Pros

I have tried many competitors of this product and have not liked any of them. They all had their shortcomings. Splashtop truly exceeded all of our expectations !

Cons

I really can not think of one, but if forced to give one, I would say I wish it was free, although it practically is.

Splashtop Business Access has been a lifesaver for me

Reviewed 3 years ago

This product performs as well or better than the other very recognizable competitor's products. I own and operate a print shop in southeastern Massachusetts and do freelance bulk mailing for two other print shops both located over an hour away. With mailings there's always upfront data work that's required often well in advance of when there's any physical work to be done. Splashtop Business has allowed me to eliminate the need to travel back and forth to either place just to do the data processing that I can easily do from my shop or even at home. The best part is it's ALWAYS AVAILABLE at my convenience.

Pros

Ease of use. This product is as close to standing in front of the remote computer as you can possibly be without physically standing in front of it. Being able to drag and drop files from the host computer to the remote computer is probably the thing I like most but it's only one of many features the product offers.

Cons

I haven't found anything that I don't like about using Splashtop

A Great Alternative

Reviewed 3 years ago
Pros

I love the interface, that you can transfer files back and forth, and that you can sign on the remote computer without someone having to be at that remote computer.

Cons

It was difficult, at first, to get the software to connect through the firewalls. One chat with Customer Service took care of that.

Vendor response

Hi Darla, Thank you for the score and review. We now have lots of account firms as customers accessing QuickBooks remotely through our software. Here's the web page for your reference: https://www.splashtop.com/accounting For file transferring, we do support "copy and paste" and "drag and drop". Information at https://support-splashtopbusiness.splashtop.com/hc/en-us/articles/212725323-FILE-TRANSFER Thanks again for choosing Splashtop! Regards, Antonia Wang Splashtop Customer Success team

Continuous improvements

Reviewed 4 years ago

Several features have been continuously over the years, especially the file transfer feature. Extremely useful program when working in several locations.

Pros

This software is easy to use and reliable.

Cons

When a computer is protected with Bitlocker at boot time, it is not possible to restart it and login again with Splashtop. It is necessary to acces physically the computer to enter the Bitlocker code, but I don't think ther is any solution.
