Splashtop helps us in crucial times access is needed

Reviewed 3 years ago

My teams overall experience with Splashtop has been awesome! It’s come in handy so many times.

Pros

I love the high quality streaming of the remote access. The options in settings let your prioritize quality or speed and it comes in handy depending on the project or task you are working on. Also the pass through audio is so important when accessing computers remotely so you can listen or review details.

Cons

There’s nothing I don’t like about it. The platform is solid, affordable, reliable, versatile and of high quality.

Great Remote Tool

Reviewed 2 years ago

As an IT department we love using this software. We use it to connect to our environment utilizing our desktops are work when faster speeds are a must over our VPN. Very few issues, and it provides all the necessary functionality to make it feel like one is working right in front of the pc connected to.

Pros

Quick connections, loads of remote functionality, communication, easy file transfer, and highly secure.

Cons

Deployment is a little bit of a problem. We were unable to mass deploy this application with ease, so we decided to use it for tech savvy individuals only.

Awesome work from home software

Reviewed 4 years ago

Overall everything has been wonderful with this software. I love it.

Pros

I LOVE how easy this software is to use and how fast the system moves when you are working remotely. The previous software we used was so difficult to log in and when you finally did log in it was SO Slow. This software is awesome. Very easy to use, setup was super easy, and the options available once logged in are amazing. I have 2 screens in my office, but only 1 screen at home, but when I log in it gives me the only to only see 1 monitor or two.

Cons

There isn't much I don't like abou this software. I think it's a great remote software and it really makes it easy for me to login from home when I need it and it connects super quick.

Makes Remote Working A Breeze

Reviewed 2 years ago

It's been exactly what I have needed

Pros

It's simple to use and I really like the convenience with the fast file transfer to/from your local computer to remote computer

Cons

Haven't quite looked into how I can look at both my remote computer screens on my local two computer screens. Perhaps I can do it if I upgraded the level I'm on. Otherwise, I have no complaints for what I need to use this software for

Make a SPLASH with your Tech Support!

Reviewed a month ago
Pros

Splashtop makes it really feel as though you are standing in front of the device, actively using it, regardless of the operating system. I was able to use terminal and command prompt/admin commands with no issues. Customizing the SOS app for our end users was a breeze and actually fun! I couldn't reccommend Splashtop enough for remote support.

Cons

It costs money and it doesn't come preinstalled on hardware when I purchase it from manufacturers! Haha.

Gets the job done

Reviewed 2 years ago

Overall, very happy with this product and would recommend to others.

Pros

Easy to use and less problems than I was having with Teamviewer. Price is good. I have had no problems logging into my work computer daily.

Cons

Sometime there is a little delay in responsiveness when I'm navigating documents and Internet, but not much.

Best Remote Software

Reviewed 3 years ago

Easiest deployment and user experience ever. The purchase was simple and the reliability has been fantastic.

Pros

Easy to set up, deploy and manage. Training was a breeze and users were able to access and install upon invitation. Management is simple, reports are easy to read and digest and monitoring is ideal for our industry.

Cons

I have not found anything that I don't like. I have one user that has had a hard time connecting 100%, but this could be a setting or configuration of the computer.

Fantastic tool to provide support to user

Reviewed 2 years ago

This has been a very good product to use to provide user's support.

Pros

Very easy to use with a simple interface. When the user is ready for remote support, just a few click/tap away and an agent can rapidly see the user's screen and help them out.

Cons

Originally (or when using an older version of the App for Apple's device specifically"), the process to "broadcast" the user's iPad screen was somewhat confusing to the user. But this has been changed in newer version and nothing really to complain about.

The BEST remote solution around!

Reviewed 3 years ago

I'm extremely happy and I highly recommend it!

Pros

I'm a longtime GoToMyPC subscriber for my Business Consulting and Logistics company. When GoToMyPC jacked up their prices by a ridiculous multiplier, I was definitely disappointed. However, it was a great opportunity for me to find Splashtop, which is a FAR superior solution for a fraction of the cost. I find Splashtop to be much more robust and useful for the types of things I need remote logins for.

Cons

Nothing...everything is great! There isn't anything I don't like about it.

Convenient, Easy-to-use

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

So easy to use. Download quick and seamless. Haven't experienced a SINGLE technical issue in daily use over the last year+. That says a lot about the product.

Cons

Perhaps not quite as user-friendly as some software insofar as first-time use. Buttons at the top don't get the best direction. Only took a couple days for all of us here at work to figure out how to use so this isn't really a complaint. Just if anything is needed to be stated for "least likable" this might be it.

Great remote access solution

Reviewed 4 years ago

I've had to use support when a host's on-site firewall was blocking my splashtop access, they figured out the issue and helped me get the exceptions fixed. Otherwise flawless performance, a great tool.

Pros

The desktop software and app are very useful. Much better and priced more fairly than all their competitors. I use it to check in on and maintain several kiosk mac minis, as well as to access work computers while I'm on the road.

Cons

I suppose the mobile app could be easier to use, but it works well enough.

Splashtop - A Breath of Fresh Air

Reviewed 2 years ago

It has been a breath of fresh air using this product and I'm very impressed with its stability.

Pros

After fumbling along with TeamViewer to access a remote computer for almost a year I decided there had to be something better. A friend recommended Splashtop and so far I've been incredibly impressed with its layout, ease of use, functionality, and the price.

Cons

Nothing as of yet. I'm normally quite critical of at least something about the software I use for various business tasks.

Splashtop Forever

Reviewed a year ago
Pros

It has become a vital part of our team to use Splashtop and was introduced to us in the pandemic. It is easy to use and makes working from anywhere possible! You need a super-fast internet connection to move efficiently with it though.

Cons

Splashtop makes everything you see on the screen blurry which is not good for drafting or graphic design-related tasks. I constantly see blurry lines and question what my documents really look like.

Amazing product!!

Reviewed 3 years ago
Pros

After trialing several different programs, Splashtop proved to be the most comprehensive and cost-efficient. There isn't any lag time or distortion with the connection and very easy to use. Printing from the remote computer is simple and was very easy to set up.

Cons

It would be great to have an easier process for transferring files, maybe just a drag and drop? I haven't looked into extensively yet, it might be easier than I think it is.

Vendor response

Pandemic Forced us out of offices, into Splashtop

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

We needed to be able to access the office computer that houses a local database for immigration forms software. Due to the pandemic, this required a reliable and affordable solution. We tried other programs and found them either unreliable or too expensive. This software is a great fit for our small office needs.

Cons

The initial setup was a little confusing as I am not particularly tech savvy, but after a few mistakes, it was up and running in no time.

Splashtop Business Review

Reviewed 2 years ago

I switched from another program that was always delayed and freezing up. I have not once had a problem with Splashtop Business. It is just like I am sitting at the computer at the restaurant.

Pros

I do not have to go to my restaurant to fix problems with our point of sale system. Instead I can remote in from home and fix the majority of problems.

Cons

There is noting I do not like about this software. It is hands down better than the last product I used and much more reliable.

Alternative to Team Viewer

Reviewed 10 months ago

Working remotely in this new climate we live in is crucial. Finding a solution that works well and is priced right for a small business is important. This has allowed me to easily help take care of things while not having to physically be present to accomplish them. I love the clean interface and just how easy it was to roll out and begin using without the need to look up or get instructed on how to use the product.

Pros

The deployment of this software to set up remote computers was a breeze! a link is provided making installation on remote computers something that even the most novice computer user is able to do. This was helpful considering I was not at the location and needed the assistance of someone who is not "tech-savvy".

Cons

So far I don't have any negative or cons to say.

Splashtop for Small Business

Reviewed 2 years ago

Overall, Splashtop has served its purpose well with our company. We use it a few times a month when someone needs access to our computer housing QuickBooks but can't be in the office for whatever reason.

Pros

Splashtop is a great choice to use for small businesses who don't need to use remote access over long periods of time or use daily. It serves the exact purpose we need it for which is to access a specific computer from home or while on vacation.

Cons

You have to go through quite the authentication process, which won't work if the original setup user does not have access to his/her e-mail right then. I've had to allow others access to my e-mail in order to set up new devices when needed.

Splashtop Access is an excellent program

Reviewed 2 years ago

I've used this less than six months but so far it's wonderful!

Pros

This software is very easy to use. You just send an invite out to the computer you want to remote into, they click on the link and that is pretty much it. This program can be customized how you enter the remote computer, you can set it up so their computer password comes up and they can put it in and then you are in or you just go right in with no password. I use this program to look at accounting issues on others computers or fix an issue they may be having. We had TeamViewer and it was over $500 per year and it didn't have all the features as Splashtop! I love this program.

Cons

I can't see the remote computers mouse moving, when working together to fix a problem it would help if I could see it. They can see mine.
