Splunk Enterprise is the basis of our SIEM. We use it for log correlation and analysis. It  collect events from multiple sources for analysis. I love using Splunk enterprise. It is the best platform that we have for monitoring data and identifying issues in real time.

Poor - due to the custom Ruby coding (engineering level expertise required) it just doesn't scale for our enterprise. 

Don't use this software - use Ansible (Tower) or Terraform

The best thing I like in it is configurable dashboard where we can put the things as per our priority and view the complete infrastructure and flow of the production line.

I'm in the middle of a migration from Puppet 4 to Puppet Enterprise 2018.1. When I started this, my Puppet knowledge was basically 0 and I followed a Puppet 4 training course which was a great overview. After that things got clear and I was able to do my job.
