Test Modeller product overview

What is Test Modeller?

Test Modeller is a collaborative requirements modelling and test generation engine. Intuitive flowcharts synchronise data from across the SDLC, maintaining living documentation of complex systems. The clear flows communicate requirements accurately to developers, avoiding design defects and the costly rework they create. They also generate rigorous test cases and automated tests, avoiding testing bottlenecks and catching bugs that do make it to code. Test Modeller builds a culture of quality from requirements to release, creating better designs, tests, and code in short iterations.

Key benefits of using Test Modeller

1. Avoid the costly bugs and reworks created by poor requirements and miscommunication. Test Modeller synchronises information from across the SDLC, using a range of connectors to create a single source of truth for testing and development. The clear and concise flowcharts provide a central point of communication for cross-functional teams, who can collaboratively maintain up-to-date living documentation. A wide-ride of integrations export tests, specifications and user stories generated from the central flows, communicating the up-to-date assets needed to deliver quality systems in short sprints.

2. Test more in fewer tests, finding bugs while they are quicker and more affordable to fix. Test Modeller auto-generates test cases and scripts using a range of coverage algorithms and risk-based techniques. This creates the smallest set of tests needed to achieve optimal coverage. "Rightsizing" testing reduces test run times and resource costs, while avoiding wasteful over-testing and risky under-testing. Test Modeller helps your teams find bugs earlier, when they require less time and resources to fix. Rigorous in-sprint testing further protects releases from potentially devastating bugs, achieving true quality at speed.

3. Reduce the time spent creating test cases and scripts. Test Modeller replaces the time spent creating repetitive test cases and scripts with automated and optimised test generation. Teams no longer need to copy and paste boiler plate code for high volumes of automated test scripts, nor formulate repetitive test steps in ALM tools. The click of a button generates automated and manual tests into existing tools and frameworks, rapidly creating the tests needed in-sprint.

4. Keep up with fast-changing systems. Test Modeller accelerates the maintenance of in-sprint tests and up-to-date requirements, avoiding the bottlenecks and technical debt created by manual maintenance. Importing new user stories and data from across the SDLC to central flowcharts rapidly maintains living documentation for fast-changing systems, hitting "generate" to create an up-to-date set of test scripts, test cases, and user stories.

5. Avoid test data bottlenecks. Integrated Test Data Automation finds and makes compliant data for manual and automated tests as they are generated and run. The on-the-fly data allocation provides rich data "just in time", ensuring that every test, tester and developer has the data they need, exactly when and where they need it.

Pros
It can be integrated with all kinds of frameworks, software and more. Really dedicated and enthusiastic team to work with.
The Test Modeller was easy to integrate with our own delivery and we were given fantastic support from the team where customisation and advise was needed.
The ability to generate A.I. ready test data lakes to help train and prove our algorithms and the ability to provide test data coverage and built in code dependency analysis was a game changer.
Cons
It's hard to find in-depth documentation for some of the concepts and options available.
Because of the complexity sometimes I got lost in all the features, but I also need more experience to fully utilize all the features.
Limited amount of users therefor relativity unknown.
