3.33/5 (3 reviews)

TrueSight Pulse overview

TrueSight Pulse delivers on the promise of SaaS: real-time infrastructure monitoring with single command deployment anywhere and no code to maintain. Monitor cloud or on-premise servers and applications with second-by-second resolution. Integrate with AWS Cloudwatch and key applications like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra and Kafka.

Pulse is the monitoring solution for developers who own the code they build to production and operations managers with environments moving toward continuous delivery and mandates to empower developers. Our instant-on, one second resolution is critical for containerized environments using Joyent, CoreOS or Docker, or other transient systems that change or spin-down in units measured by seconds, not minutes.

TrueSight Pulse deploys to all kinds of environments and supports automation tools like Chef and Puppet. Our ultra-lightweight meter (<1% CPU) begins sending data instantly to the customizable dashboard available on any device. Pulse offers flexible notification and collaboration options with pre-built integrations to tools like Flowdock, HipChat and Slack and has a robust, well-documented API for any custom integration needs.

If you are lacking visibility into your infrastructure or are having issues that your monitoring is not showing you, try TrueSight Pulse.

Main features

Customizable Dashboards

TrueSight Pulse offers customizable dashboards. Users have the ability to re-skin, embed, link, and share their dashboards with collaborators inside and outside their organizations. Numerous layout options give users complete flexibility as they design their dashboards.

Dashboards allow you to create graphical views of your digital environment. Choose a template and configure it to access data from your monitoring systems and apps. When a problem is detected, you’ll see it immediately from your dashboard page. TrueSight Pulse also allows you to share dashboards with other members of your work groups and maintain a unified dashboard that everyone can use.

App Monitoring

IT operations operators are able to use application monitoring to generate a visual representation of all the business apps in their environments. App monitors helps identify and diagnose issues, with advanced details like color-coding and importance-ranking to determine which problems require immediate attention.

From the Application page, click on any application to see the details on the Application Monitoring page. The type of information you’ll be most interested in viewing may include transactions, application model, events, and devices. This information can quickly be filtered by the selected application, allowing you to understand the relationships between various application components.

Critical Events & Devices

A Devices page is useful for IT Operations operators who are looking to determine which devices require attention on any given day. Similarly, an Events page displays the relevant information to recognize the current state of events. Users can even drill-down to specific events and perform probable cause analysis on the fly.

Create individual groups based on real-world relationships, like the city, department, or type of resource, and then monitor those groups on the Groups page. This course of action will allow you to see a high-level view of all your devices and events in real-time, and you can filter your view based on the severity of the issue or the current status. TrueSight Pulse offers advanced features like probable cause analysis and root cause analysis to dig even deeper into any issue.

Alerts on Any Metric

Alerts can be setup based on any metric, regardless of whether that metric is custom or native. In addition to uncovering issues in real-time, users can also create alerts to notify their most valuable third-party tools.

Use the Notifications icon to get notified about new events. Up to 10 new events are displayed at any time. If you have turned the notification feature off, then you’ll need to click the refresh icon manually to update the events table.

TrueSight Pulse offers a number of integrations with monitored platforms, automation solutions, notifications tools, and AWS.
