Many years of experience with different games that utilize the Unreal Engine. Has revolutionized gaming.
Unreal engine is ubiquitous throughout gaming on PCs/consoles and has set the gold standard for gaming physics as an engine.
The engine itself has no specific issues but it may be implemented in incomplete games with lag/bugs. However, this is not a function of the engine but the specific game or platform.

It's free which and Epic provides a host of free assets and technology for your use. You can sell something like your first million dollars worth of games without royalties and that makes them a serious asset for new studios.
The lack of a full animation suite at first was an issue but they have since added more rigging tools etc

Overall Unreal Engine is still the best game engine to go for when developing higher end games. However, it should start integrating more VR/AR aspects so that more users could use it to develop not just 2D games but also VR and AR games.
It is extremely powerful, in terms of having high quality assets and rendering lighting. Unreal Engine is perfect for developing high end graphic intensive games. The rendering of lighting and shadows really helps to make the scenes more immersive too.
The integration of an IDE (e.g. Visual Studio Code/Visual Studio) isn't as seamless yet. There are still flaws, such as the lack of autocompletion sometimes, and bugs when sync-ing the code in the IDE and Unreal Engine.

Unreal Engine is the most powerfull all-in-one editor for video games creation, and much more ! It's driven by newests technologies that make this engine an absolute must have !And last but not least, it's free !
Unreal Engine 5 suffer from his high end technologies. There're so much integrated tools, features and options, beginners, solo developers and small studios can easily be lost.Android export is not easy, and optimisation of mobile games can be a real pain...

I have started learning Unreal as a way to tell immersive stories through games.
Unreal engine is exactly what it says it is "Unreal". As someone born in the Nintendo era and a professional storyteller through other mediums (Video/Writing). I find the accessibility of Unreal as the future for entertainment and immersive storytelling. I'm really excited for future generations to have access to this and how it is nurtured and promoted. How the game playing creates friendships across wifi. It is so cool and one of the best aspects of modern life.
The learning curve may not match with ambitions. This is a heavy undertaking, but well worth it and a genius platform and language.

I love some giant people with guns shooting each other with the unreal engine.
Who doesn't love playing a game backed by the Unreal engine? I remember seeing shooters for the first time use this 10+ years ago and remember thinking "This is the future"
I don't see any cons. I do see how some folks would like other engines such as call of duty type games etc. But Unreal will always stickk out being more DOOM like.

The real benefit of using the unreal engine is it's ease-of-use. All the tools and graphics are easily available to the user making it hassle-free to create any environment. Also, the forums and the community working on and behind unreal are unreal, any issue I ran into seems to be solved already.
Using this app to its fullest extent can really take a toll on your GPU and RAM (which is understandable). But also, some of the features are not fully optimized such as the bindings feature.

The graphic quality is amazing and workable and user interface will be upto date with latest and newer options and tools.
It requires user to know the basics of designing and game development and requires more programming experience because it uses C++.

The feeling of unleashed creativity in a 3d world is a truly spectacular accomplishment for the team at Epic Games and I look forward to the upcoming release of Unreal Engine 5.
Unreal Engine has made the design process more visual and intuitive for users that are not trained in coding languages. Node based programming is one of my favorite innovations that Unreal Engine brings to the process.
The small text in some of the menus makes it look a bit daunting at first, but I believe that there are just so many options on each screen that the text needs to be small enough to fit it all on screen. I'm sure there are accessibility settings that I can tweak, but I have not left the default settings yet.

When you know what you're doing, Unreal Engine allows you to make top of the line games. You can even try it for free to get your feet wet!
Intricate development can be tough because there's so much it can do. Customer service is also very hit or miss on several issues I've had over the few years I've used it. You never know what you're going to get.

I love the experience with UE, i used it to make a Game and a Simultion, wich both where funny expereince ,in the UE and i never had problems that where on the UE side more on the knowledge side.
There is no need to code wich is good for beginners that cant code in c++. I personally still like coding more also the new UE5 is just overwhelming with all the possiblitys one has.
Like i said the only con would be C++ for beginners.

Was easy to build a game using blueprints and not knowing how to code.
You can create 3D and 2D games with a AAA game engine for free. There is lots of tutorials to help you get started creating your game. The software is easy to learn. You can create a whole game with out coding using blueprints. Has a huge market place full of assets and all ready made game templates to help you get started on your game. The game engine is flexible that you can create 2D games or 3D games.
If you want to code you need to learn c++ can take a bit of time if you dont know it. Not a lot of cons for the engine. Marketplace is not as large as its main competitor .

The possibilities with this program are just endless. Especially in film-making.
The fact that we can create photorealistic environments in real-time is just amazing. Not mention the ease of use and its optimization of multiple LODs of an object.
I just wish the motion blur in it was a bit better.

My overall experience would have to be amazing. The game was a big success and I had a wonderful time working with everyone to get it to where it was
This product was produced amazing results. It was my job to make a small game with a couple of class mates at one point and I was the project manager and I have to say the game that came out on the other side was amazing. I did oversee the build and talked to the team and there input was that the software was seamless once they got the hang of it
They told me that the software con produce some errors and stuff they had to look up while trying to produce the game.

I've played multiple games created from Unreal Engine such as Borderlands, Infinity Blade, Mortal Kombat, and etc which has been an amazing and crisp experience.
-Has a very nice blueprint system that allows users to easily insert their ideas -Games created by this software have amazing graphics
-Some of the games created from this software are unplayable for the majority by the fact that there are many implementations into the games that cause for only the small percentage of people to play.

Being able to develop a 3D game for free is a great advantage. It also provides great convenience with its extremely simple interface.
I made mistakes in some places, so it can be improved a little more.
