Learned quite a lot about the game development workflow, learned quite a lot about C++, enjoyed learning about 3D modelling and animations
Excellent editor, feels natural for our workflow, open-source so one can change it in case of need, engine is the most capable of all we have tried, fast and powerful
Still quite large and not so suitable for smaller or mobile projects, documentation could be better (sometimes it's missing references to newer features or is referencing outdated feature)

It is a beauty when creating 3D games. You can generate images with good textures and finishing. It allows you to create games that can run on a PC and then adapt them to different consoles, or Android devices in a simple way. You can use Unreal Engine and you will only have to pay once your project is profiting (approximately 5%). This tool is available for the development of virtual reality games and virtual applications.
The size of the projects is quite large, it consumes a lot of disk space and memory on the PC. Being the best tool for 3D games, it is not the same with 2D games.

Unreal engine had made some of my favorite games including rocket league. It's a fantastic game engine with endless possibilities
It is very versatile and powerful. Offers great customization and tons of features. Even better that it's free
For beginners this can see like a very overwhelming program so definitely know what your doing if you're using this program

All in all, this software is a very powerful work of art and I recommend it for high quality applications, be it AAA games or immersive virtual/augmented reality experiences
This is one of the most powerful game development engines I have worked with. It is quite easy to jump and dive into with little difficulty. Lots of tools to toy with and a lot of helpful templates to build up from, ranging from a simple first person sandbox to a simple racing game to a 2/2.5D template. Apart from this, they constantly keep adding new features and updates
Due to some emphasis on photo-realism and hyperrealistic rendering, it's hard to use this application on a low end device.

It is very powerful engine and with enough knowledge you can make really great 3D project.
User interface is really friendly and it has a slightly bigger learning curve compared to Unity. There is an tutorial that comes with the unreal engine and basic projects that allows newbies to play around and explore. Also there is a bunch of online support and tutorials if you get stuck on your project. Its free up until the project you made starts earning money
Its resource hungry but considering that you are making a 3D game and Unreal gives you a lot of possibilities its only natural to use a lot of resources.

Overall Unreal Engine is really a great engine with some really great and unique features like the material editor or the option to visual scripting.
This game engine is certainly one of a kind, in terms of usability or visuals it feels very good. The unreal engine provides better visual performance than it's competitors and the visual scripting features makes it very easy for a non-developer person to build a game.
Though unreal engine is one of the best but the community backing it is not as great as it's competitors. The engine's lacks in terms of some basic features which makes it lag a bit.

It is robust and complete, and comes with everything you need to build a game from the ground up. Best of all, it comes with everything you need need for free - until you ship your game and then there is a 5% charge of your profits......
It's intuitive and easy to use, but it is a deep rabbit hole and there is a lot to learn. On the plus side, there is a strong online community out there to help you and lots of tutorials and resources.

I used it for 5 years but it’s a bit uh, big of an engine for me at the moment. I hope to improve my development skills and come back to it in the future.
I like how nice it looks. You can create AAA looking games. Also, this engine is quickly becoming an industry standard.
It’s still a bit complex for non-coders and the engine seems better fit for teams if developers rather than a single person in my experience.

is a tool that is ready to start developing virtual reality games, as well as virtual applications.
It has a technology called Blueprint Visual Scripting, which allows you to create a video game without programming or with very little programming knowledge. It is a form of innovative programming in the industry to be visual. This opened the doors for many creators to start without previous experience in object-oriented programming using C ++, the language used by this engine.
Even the smallest games will weigh a lot in terms of hard disk space and memory on the PC, so you should consider those details.

With any prior knowledge of programs similar to Unreal you can really go far. It has the power to make some really great games, which is why you'll see a number of popular games boot up with the Unreal logo.
While I knew what I wanted to do, there were a few programming things that I had to find the way that Unreal wanted them to be done. A minor gripe that you'll get with any program differences, but it's the worst thing I can say about it.

It has any tool you imagine. The database it has for you to use/modificate/generate with is bigger than you can expect. Great community of developers and users.
Not for noobs. Hard to learn, if you don't know nothing about it will get to think that is impossible to generate something.

It's my favorite game engine because because it can be easily integrated into any game development pipeline.
There alot of settings and the workspace customization aren't perfect. It feels crowded and more than one monitor is highly recommended. Moving 3D objects also has a clunky feel to it.

It is very powerfull tool, you can develop 2d and 3d games
This is a free software license unless you earn more than 100.000$ per year. Excelent tool for game developers
The rendering engine has not the same quality as Vray, but it works very nice too

Fully featured engine with regular updates to latest and greatest useful features. A supportive community. A heap of example content to get started and learn from.
Regular major updates could add development time to previous work to bring it up to scratch with the new version.

It is full of objects to create your game/application. We used many of those for long time.
Not at all. It is a complete software, maybe I liked least the interface, it could be made more easy to see.

The procedural generation features in UE5.1+ have helped me make level concepts and showcases much much faster than before
The programming requirements to learn the engine is steep, the blueprint system is good enough for the novice but quickly shows gaps in which good programming knowledge and approach is a prerequisite

Overall experience with unreal engine is good, I've started many things with it and finished few projects and really, I got nothing bad to say about it.
Visualization, tutorials for beginners who don't know alot about coding, 3D modeling and the rest of making a game. Also the favt that this program is free to use up to a certain point.
If you're new to this engine, it might feel bit overwhelming to start with. Take a few hours to study everything before fiddling around.

Easy proof of concepts.
Unreal is a very powerful engine, and now that it can be acquired for so cheap, it is a great way to quickly get a good looking environment and complex game dynamics for proof of concepts. The store also allows an easy way to pick up a lot of the assets, so when you first start work, you already have a lot in place.
It is a complex game engine and not as user friendly as some less complex game engines. A basic understanding of programming and more complex game issues (graphics, processing power, etc.) seems to be important to fully utilize what the engine has to offer.

Very useful for creating any scenario or animations!
This engine has been around for a while and has passed the test of time. It works with most computers and can be used to create anything!
Can't complain about this engine a whole lot, it's not too demanding when it comes to hardware either!

I love games and I am a PC gamer. I played lot of games that run on unreal engine.Because I want high quality games and I play only high quality games. I am using unreal engine 4 for make games and I am still learning about this engine. Not only this engine can make video games, also I made motion videos using this. According to my experience, most thing I like in unreal is, this user-friendly.It has lot of templates to create our project. In other engines, the templates are not user-friendly. If we want templates e want to buy . so that is why I said this very user-friendly. This engine also can buy templates but engine has different kind of templates.
There is a problem in this engine. this engine has advance tools. for a new user, he/she can't understand without any help. And the other one is "the language". I thing C++ is difficult language.

Its free and great for side work/hobby or even if you are a game studio. Many great games have been built from this engine.
Users can get started making a game quick and easy even without writing a line of code. There are a ton of resources and community backing to find and use anything you need. There are countless tutorials to get you up and running and free assets to play around with.
There is a big learning curve since it is a gaming engine and there are many different features. It can seem overwhelming but there is a ton of content out there to digest.

I am still learning to use the Unreal Engine, in my opinion the features are very complete.
What I like about the Unreal Engine is that it provides very complete features in making HD games. The blueprint feature is also very helpful for new developers who are more interested in drag and drop programming languages.
Too heavy and UI too hard to understand. But the Unreal Engine is intended for already reliable game studios. Not suitable for new developers who are still in the learning stage of game development.
