This can be annoying if one is trying to upload/download large documents or use email during these delays.

Pros

Email, phone, task, calendaring, contact management, and document management, time keeping, expenses and billing are well integrated.

Cons

Client portal features need to be expanded to allow cases (files) to have finer level of access control when multiple clients within a file require different levels and different document access.

This program is replacing another case management program.

Pros

The client portal is very helpful keeping in contact with clients and letting them know what is going on with their case.

Cons

You are not able to add multiple categories to documents; you cannot create a word document within the program; revising a document and saving is complicated - you have to save to your desktop and then save to case program - need to be able to directly save document into program.

I love the ability to access nearly a twenty year history of cases easily and effectively.

Cons

I wish that there were more free updates to the software. With so many changes in the tech industry I don't want to have to buy a new program every few years.

The best thing is that I can sleep at night without waking up wondering about this or that case. Really has improved my professional life and hugely improved my personal life, because the software really ties up the loose ends.

Helps keep track of time, calendar and files, which is a great feature There are always bugs or fixes with certain features that need improvement and on occasion the program behaves bizarrely; however, Amicus support has always resolved those issues.

File management. Time management (ability to export to custom csv file is great)

Cons

Limited multiple monitor support. Amicus Anywhere isn't comprehensive (its not all of amicus, should be called Almost all of Amicus Anywhere). Very robust program that has a lot of capabilities of which we us maybe 50%, so sort of frustrating have to pay for that. Would be nice to trim down some options and get a better discount.

I have had a very good experience with Amicus especially with integrated file/contact/case management.

Pros

I have used it for many years, mostly for calendaring, contacts and file management.

Cons

Integration with SOQUEL serve can be tricky but customer support is usually able to resolve issues, and my own IT person handles what they do not/cannot.

Using Amicus for 17 years

I had researched competing software, and realized that the Amicus interface was far superior.

Pros

Ease of use for daily functions; time-keeping and seamless integration with PCLaw; calendar and to do features.

Cons

1) that a full featured cloud version is not yet available; and 2) that it does integrate fully with Worldox as a document manager, rather than the rather unhelpful document links within Amicus.

The integration with the Billing program, Quickbooks and the APX credit card payment acceptance program is a convenient timesaver, very much appreciated.

Pros

The program's visual layout, divided into files and calendar, is easy to understand, easy to use and easy to teach new users to use.

Cons

Documents can be tracked by case type however to change the selection of document types, the documents associated with that particular case type must be modified.

It's only as good as the users

Amicus Attorney is capable of being a one stop shop when it comes to case management, but your users have to be trainable properly and they actually have to use the program accordingly for this to be true.

Pros

Amicus Attorney is a very robust case management program with tons of beneficial features.

Cons

We deployed Amicus Attorney almost twenty (20) years ago. A lot has change over the years, some good, some bad. The decline in tech support has been the most unfavorable change.
