Pros

FANTASTIC client support. Agent is the best support person that I've had the pleasure of getting assistance from across all of the technical systems and software that I've used.
The next best thing is that for lawyers on a shoestring budget it is affordable and secure because it can be run off the cloud. So I give it two thumbs up for price, accessibility and price.
The Quickbooks connector is great and the Evernote integration is also a big plus. After reviewing all our other options, Houdini ESQ seemed like the best and least expensive place to start and grow.

Pros

I like the ability to easily communicate with staff and clients about their legal issues. The automation is very good and allows tasks to be done in half the time without automation.
I have made a couple suggestions to improve the software and both changes have been made. Their customer support is outstanding.
Our firm uses this for EVERYTHING. I am very pleased with MyCase and will continue to recommend it to other firms.

Cons

Sometimes it looses some of my cases especially if someone else has made the case and then appointed it to me. The search field is usually not working.
Lack of a functioning document automation/assembly system and lack of quickbooks integration.
Not so many companies will go the extra mile to save one from themselves especially after having failed to heed their explicit warnings.

Cons

The function to submit a question does not result in any feedback at all. The program is now getting glitchy and the newest update is just terrible looking and terrible functionally.
So, I always try to take the "oops, MyCase is no longer available" as a sign that I should stop working.
I am worried that quality will decline after the recent buyout.

Second Best Option

In preparation for a disaffiliation with my prior firm, I auditioned several case management systems. This one was the second best - it only lost out to MyCase, which was purely due to design issues and perceived ease of use. If the product had been presented more attractively, I believe my team would've been more impressed with the Ease of Use. Much better pricing options and utilization of on site storage are huge pros to this product.
