Pros

I find it to be easy to use and very good for keeping our documents and matters organized. The integration with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat is seamless.
The organization of Legal Files is outstanding.
Leal Files as a product and the customer support has been excellent.

Pros

If you are a Microsoft fan or heavy user, then Share Point it is a good software for integration and share data and information between your people and clients.
I love how you can integrate Microsoft office. The large file support is great along with the ability to keep everything on your phone.
This software is great for the world of remote working and is a great solution to collaborating online. The program is user friendly and requires minimal training to understand.

Cons

Documents are not arranged chronologically so it is difficult to find the most recent version.
When transferring information from one file to another, it is difficult to transfer emails, you have to do them 1 at a time which is time consuming.
Not everything is very intuitive about the software. Less experienced computer users have a hard time with it.

Cons

Occassionally I will have errors when creating Sharepoint pages– such as the inability to change the column count, insert pictures, etc.
I would describe my overall expense as very poor and frustrating.
If there are too many documents that are not organized it can be hard to find what you need. I think that's mostly user error.

Team collaboration, records management (with Collabware).

Pros

SharePoint offers simple collaboration and document management from the cloud. I like the speed of implementation and cost compared to larger enterprise products.

Cons

Limited functionality for legal compliance and more robust document and records management. Needs add-ons like Collabware to meet DoD 5015.2 and other standards.

Small Cog One A Big Wheel

Reviewed 2 years ago

I can trust this software, and it frees up a lot of digital garbage that collects on hard drives and servers. I like the accountability of seeing when files were added and edited, and I like the ability to link to outside of my organization. What I really enjoy the most is being able to chose if someone can edit the document or not before sending it to them. Multiple users being able to edit a document at the same time also comes in handy for day to day operations. If I really need to, I can bookmark a Sharepoint page in my browser, which also makes recalling important pages very efficient.

Pros

The scale of it is massive. My corner of this mega world in my organization is siloed off except when I decide for it to not be. I don't need or want access to our whole legal department Sharepoint, but our legal council can share files to me at any time when needed. Same goes in reverse. I can keep my blinders on and grant access when and where I need to, and collaborate without a lot of worry that things will get lost. The backbone of this application seems robust and accessible across multiple areas of usage, so long as a solid internet connection can be provided.

Cons

The user interface can be frustrating at times. The screen real-estate is not efficient as a business tool and this is probably the reason I don't use this more often. I also deal with entities of the organization that don't have strong internet connections in various parts of the world, and the inefficiencies in the browser GUI become even more apparent. Scrolling through a folder with any significant number of files becomes a chore on poor internet. The search bar can cut through this, but only if you know what you are looking for and can spell it correctly. With multiple languages involved in business, a search bar is sometimes less useful than you might think.

Amazing Task Management and Collaboration Tool

Reviewed 4 years ago

Our department gets assigned legal and customer service cases which we have access to as a team, but each team member works on her/his project individually

Pros

Microsoft SharePoint made it easy to collaborate with coworkers. We all work on our own individual projects, yet we all have access to progress. It's easy to assign a case to an employee with a due date and then simply keep track of it. It's easy to customize needed fields and add a new one or remove an old one. I love the fact that at any given moment I can check on a case progress without having to micromanage a person. It's really easy to use.

Cons

There's literally nothing I dislike about this software. Everything was done with communication in mind.

Hard to Manage Files

Reviewed 5 years ago

Good to store important files and keep them on cloud with authorized modifications, but the system is hard to manage all files in order and find exact file you want.

Pros

1. To store all valued documents in cloud and share with others. 2. Make sure only one version in the system through checking in and checking out. 3. To integrate with Microsoft offices compatibly.

Cons

It is hard to manage files such as moving files into different folder. It is fine to move files into sub-folder but it cannot move files to up-folder. In previous version, the searching function is hard to use and hardly finding necessary files.

Great Way to Share and Save Files

Reviewed 5 years ago

SharePoint is an excellent way to save and share files across departments and offices. It is efficient both as an archive to save files as well a hub to pull files from. Uploading multiple files is easy as well.

Pros

Sharepoint is great tool with dual functions in one site. It can be spread across departments and connect parts of the company seamlessly.

Cons

The tool bar at the top could be highlighted a bit more so that it is more recognizable. It took me a moment to find it the first few times using SharePoint.

A game changer in my work life!

Reviewed 5 years ago

We have considerably cut down on dead computer time just trying to make sense of duplicate files and loading files to share them, specially heavy files.

Pros

It does what it promises: we use it to store files that need to be accessed by many workers, and even within our office we have a "site" where we can all access the same files, no duplicates, no heavy downloads, no chaos of versions, this is a wonder app!

Cons

Sometimes we ran into synching issues, leading to SOME duplicates and versions.

Great File sharing and collaboration platform that saves time

Reviewed 2 years ago

I like Sharepoint very much. We use it daily in our operations to collaborate, share files, transfer files, update files, and use to connect our files to other databases. It is really good as well for the added security measures we have.

Pros

I like how everything is technically on the "cloud" when uploaded to sharepoint. You or your colleagues can work on files together and find latest updates to files that may have been changed. I also really like how the files can be saved and how files are stored. The creation of sharepoint sites is very useful when using sharepoint as your team, may use a different site from other teams to ensure nothing gets too messy in terms of file sharing. I also like the permissions given to various people to ensure files are secure and can be accessed to people that need to use it only.

Cons

The updates on collaboration can be a little slow and using multiple sharepoint sites can get tricky when you work with multiple teams. As the teams grow and your role grows, there are going to more and more folders with different files that you will need and it gets a little confusing when you need to search for a specific file.

Share point assists in serving as a user-friendly platform and document repository. Controlling user access and preventing undesired or inadvertent modifications is simple.

Pros

We can effortlessly save any large-size document of almost every kind using Microsoft Sharepoint. We are able to share any file without risk.

Cons

The only aspect I seriously dislike with SharePoint is that files are always displayed as a 'list' instead of 'files.' Because I am a visual person, the 'files' approach can be simpler for me to figure out.
