All things we need are integrated: client management, contacts, billing, client portal, etc.
Pros
We like how it seamlessly integrates with many of our existing software programs such as Quickbooks and LawPay.
Cons
Certain functions that I think should be standard are not available in the software yet, such as workflows launching from completed steps being marked, instead of all workflow going by preset dates.

It helps me with task management, trust accounting, and matter management.
Pros
I like being able to track all my matters, tasks, and contacts in one place, while integrating with my other cloud services, like Google Suite and Quickbooks Online.
Cons
I'd love to see a secure client portal that doesn't rely on a second sign in to Box.com.

I launched my law firm, J L Walker Law six months ago and I’ve found the appetite for virtual law firms and flexible billing practices has been increasing ever since.
Pros
It just makes matter management, invoicing and billing an absolute breeze, rather than a hassle.
Cons
No cons - but I would like to see some integration with other third party cloud-based platforms, ie Xero (invoicing/billing) - I understand this is coming soon!
Thanks for the loving review Jacqui! We now have an open API and an integration with Zapier which opens the doors for unlimited integrations.
I am able to enter client/case information, manage my time entries, generate invoices and track client payments.
Pros
Ease of use, great customer service and tutorials, countless helpful features to help me run my practice (i.e. calendar, billing/invoices, time management)
Cons
I experienced a little difficulty creating intake forms, but once I watched the tutorial and figured it out, all was well.

Case management, calendaring, tracking statutes, creating task lists, being able to track actions performed on a case, having contact information and case notes in one location
Pros
The interface is different from other case management systems that I'm used to, but once I spent some time with it, I realized that not only is it different, but it's also better and easier to use!
Cons
This can be bypassed by creating an event and having tasks trigger from an event, but it cannot currently trigger tasks from other tasks, so it requires a bit more manual manipulation than I would prefer.

One of the customer rep was very helpful. Would like to work with him again for other support or training. I would really like if you had someone who would do some of the setup for templates, intake forms, etc. for me for a reasonable charge.
Pros
Provides some things I need for calendaring and contact management.
Cons
I would like to see the calendar/tasks reminder feature be exactly like Outlook - which has a lot more options, and sometimes I want the reset of the reminder to be 1 week or 2 weeks out.

Full case management, calendar, timekeeping and billing solution at a very reasonable price.
Pros
It is incredibly easy to set up and use. Billing takes half the time of prior or program, and clients love online payment feature just as much as we do!
Cons
Would like to have calendar and time entries open simultaneously.

At first I didn't understand the trust accounting, but once I spent a little time with it I figured out how great it is. Utilize their free training to have them walk you through anything you don't understand.
Thank you so much Geoffrey! We're definitely working on more document management integrations in the near future.
Practice Panther has made time management and client invoicing a breeze.
Pros
Easy to manage clients, experts, opposing parties/counsel, calendar events, etc.
Cons
The only thing I have found that I do not like is the inability to add more than one file/matter to a single calendar event.

Practicepanther has it all: practice management, templates, billing, taking notes, box-integration, gmail agenda integration, client portal; and it's easy to use!
Pros
PracticePanther offers one of the best and most intuitive user interfaces of any practice management platform out there.
Cons
PracticePanther is a major player in the case management game, but it is overpriced with what it currently offers.

Hey Stephen!
Thank you so much for your review. We proudly offer a robust set of case management features while remaining easy and simple to use. Since we have a wide variety of features offered within PracticePanther, there is no need to integrate with many 3rd parties like some of our competitors, therefore, we bring those savings back to you!
We also do offer an open API and an integration with Zapier as well. Zapier gives you the ability to integrate with thousands of apps instantly for those firms that must use a specific software in conjunction with PracticePanther.
Keep an eye out for more updates as we are constantly adding features internally in order to increase Law Firm efficiency for no extra cost.
Easy case management, access 24-7, web-based tool that I can access across multiple devices (and I do).
Pros
It's pleasing to the eye and easy to navigate. The portal is excellent as well.
Cons
Nothing. Anytime I hit a snag, the online resources are available to bail me out. I've referred Practice Panther to other solos and they've signed up as well.

Pros
It is easy to work the separate modules into the firm's workflow. Also, the timekeeping, matter management and invoice management is such a time saver.
Cons
Perhaps one area that may be worth mentioning is integration. I am a Gsuite user and the ability to directly link with my google docs, etc would be great.

We needed state of the art legally compliant practice management system.
The tasking feature and its integration with the calendar is fantastic, I could not service so many clients without it.
Pros
Beautiful layout, easy to use, functions as a basic CRM, matter and time management, and billing program all in one.
Cons
Flat fee billing is not well thought out, and the billing module presents clients with a reckoning of my operating account as well as their trust account.

Recommendations to others considering PracticePanther
The learning curve for Practice Panther is very quick. You can be productive with the software in a matter of hours. But the main thing to settle on right up front is this: Will your clients be companies or persons? Figure that out first, then stick to your decision to make your future life be easier.
It is truly the one stop shop for practice management.
Pros
It is very user friendly and comprehensive.
Cons
There could be more integration with other key legal software and expanded billing and invoice options.

Pros
I like everything about it, but to single out one thing I would choose the secure messaging and client portal.
Cons
I would like to see the PracticePanther team continue to develop their document automation into a more robust package.

Our Attorneys love being able to access case data and records from anywhere, and I have been very happy with the development pipeline.
Pros
Our team has a number of favorite features, being able to access Box via the Panther Mobile app is a big one, and being able to shoot text reminders to clients about appointments and deadlines is another favorite, but how much time Panther has shaved off of our billing cycle is definitely the top.
Cons
Being a larger firm and having migrated case management software several times already made the transition and adoption challenging.

I've helped client firms escape the torture of competitive software and find their way to Practice Panther.
Pros
You name the feature - time entry, client management, relationships management, reports . . . whatever - Practice Panther is great.
Cons
I wish the matter naming system was a little more restrictive so that you wouldn't end up with 40 variations of certain terms "Civil litigation", etc.

Keeps me organized and streamlines everything from contacts and calendars to billing and invoicing.
Pros
User-friendly - Learning curve is easily the lowest of any firm management software out there Support - Short training videos and support chat are right at your fingertips and easy to use so you get the most out of the software.
Cons
Still developing - PP is still developing so you do run into hiccups sometimes, but it is still the easiest firm management software to use and I have not had an issue yet that was not resolved by a quick chat session with support staff.
