We found that once we had been signed up as a client the team didn’t care. We didn’t have an account manager contact for three years and only learnt we had one when we gave notice to leave. There was no desire to resolve the issues we had over the three years we used this product. The prices were increased significantly at the end of our three year contract.
It was a good system and they were always up to date with billing codes and legal aid developments
We used the system from June 2018 until May 2021. We had problems with word integration and the PDF conversion. This was never resolved. The system did not communicate with Xero.

Rubbish
Nothing leap has got nothing at all to recommend it. They are non-communicative, arrogant, failed to respond to communications, failed to return telephone calls do not respond to emails in short I would rather use a quill pen and use leap. Yes I have tried to contact them know they have not bothered to respond
I am a sole practitioner and I was using the virtual practice system run by SOS legal. It would appear that SOS legal have now been acquired/taken over by Leap and the manner in which they have treated customers who have been with virtual practice for 12 years is breathtakingly bad. You cannot speak to anybody. They do not respond to emails and then they blackmail you over your data. This company should not be permitted to conduct business in the legal arena, if you are a law firm beware they will hold you to ransom if you let them hold your data

I like the program I just would like it better if it did the things I listed above
I like that everything can be stored in one program
It is lacking legal forms for Florida. I can't e-file from LEAP and I can only scan one page at a time as opposed to multiple pages at a time.
Thank you for your review. We are glad to hear that your law firm is benefiting from LEAP's centralized practice management solution. We would like to speak with you more about some of the challenges you are facing. Please email pma@leap.us so we can discuss these more and one of our Practice Management Advisors can provide guidance on e-filing your Florida documents through LEAP's integration with InfoTrack. We look forward to speaking with you soon and continuing our efforts to make LEAP a valuable asset for your law firm.

[SENSITIVE CONTENT] is very proactive, always available to assist. The programme itself is near perfect.
It has a lot of function for all needed in a legal practice albeit you do have to invest a bit of time to learn all the functions. Once this is done, it is great to work with.
Creating standard letters and updating them is a bit confusing but our [SENSITIVE CONTENT] has been great in helping us with this.

LEAP has a dedicated problem solving area in the company which makes any teething issues able to be quickly resolved. Software is customisable and relevant to a wide range of legal areas.
Ease of use, simple access to all files loaded in system, ability to change file types based on matter
Can be slow when connecting with the cloud

I have had an outstanding overall LEAP experience. As a lawyer, I depend on trustworthy and effective software to run my practice, and LEAP has surpassed my expectations. My workflow is streamlined by the platform's extensive toolkit, which includes tools for document management, time tracking, and billing. I can easily navigate and retrieve the information I need thanks to the user-friendly design...
I adore LEAP and consider it to be a priceless resource for my legal business. The element of LEAP that I value the most is its thorough document management system. I can easily arrange, keep, and access all of my legal paperwork in a one location thanks to LEAP. The time and effort I would have otherwise spent looking for and managing tangible files is significantly reduced thanks to this. Finding specific papers is really simple for me thanks to the user-friendly UI and powerful search features, even on my mobile devices. The document management features of LEAP have significantly increased my productivity and efficiency, allowing me to devote more of my time to helping my clients and less of it to office work.
While I have had an overall positive experience with LEAP, there is one aspect that I found slightly challenging. The feature that I liked the least about LEAP is its learning curve when it comes to customization and advanced settings. As a user, I appreciate software that offers flexibility and allows me to tailor it to my specific needs.
Hi Joseph, thank you for your recent review of LEAP. We are glad to hear that the LEAP legal practice productivity solution has improved organization and efficiency for your firm with strong document management and billing tools. We appreciate your feedback and we hope these resources help LEAP provide additional value to your law firm!

If you use the system correctly you will achieve efficiency, cost benefits and compliance.
The Leap platform is easy to use and form templates are customisable as are presidents. Accounting can be linked to most financial platforms, we use Xero which works well. Customer support is what is should be, responsive and easy to access. Online training guide and user forums solve most issues with minimal time and effort. The introduction of Customer Success Managers to provide personal support, who are accessible is excellent. If you use the system as designed, a CRM platform you will obtain true benefits in workflows and costs.
Mobile access to Leap is good on Apple phones but has limited functionality on Android phones. This is a failing. Perversely Leap does not work well on Apple Macs but is excellent on Pc's? Other legal system providers do not appear to have this as an issue with their android aps development, android being the predominant and growing platform in the UK.

It's a must have for any size law office! Organization is a must in our business and LEAP provides just that with an accessibility ease to go along with it. It is also very lawyer friendly, as I know, we paralegals/legal assistants probably do the majority of the actual drafting and keeping of time. My boss caught on very quickly.
There are so many features in LEAP that make my job easier, but my favorite feature may be the "New Comment" feature. It gives me a way to notate the file, bill my time and notify my boss of what he needs to review/fix/sign/etc, all in one step.
The thing I like least is having to take multiple steps to transfer funds in the same account from retainer to trust.
We greatly appreciate your feedback and we are glad to hear that you are benefitting from LEAP's document automation and the LEAP Comment feature. Our Design and Automation team is committed to innovation and adding new features to LEAP. We are happy to see that your firm is benefitting from these innovations and is a valuable asset to your firm!

Working for Pennine Law, a legal firm in Barnsley, I was introduced to a case/file management system in LEAP That is absolutely amazing in so many respects. Our Firm is a relatively small law firm with 3 attorneys, but we do a wide variety of legal work. Our diversity made finding a case management software that would allow us to handle cases from litigation to real estate transactions and everything in-between, a daunting task. At one point we considered each attorney using a separate case management software for their practice area and an additional...

It was the worst experience ever. I was misrepresented certain information. I purchased the software, had to pay additional £500 for an external trainer. As I am not IT literate I had to re learn windows and being an apple user it took me from May when I purchase the software to August. I was told to use their university section to learn additional features. I spent thousands on IT equipment. I did...
The system is better for large firms with IT specialist.
Waste of money if you a a small firm or sole practitioner. Have to reinvest in a system that is compatible with the software, costing additional 2k External trainer rubbish as you have to book time and it’s rushed if you do not know windows. You have to purchase top ons. That is more costly so your package could run into the thousand. Read the contract and if not happy make sure you cancel. Once your subscription finish you will not have the availability to gain access to your client files. If you are tied in and try to negotiate you will be ignored and you have no resolution BECAREFUL BEFORE YOU SIGN THIER CONTRACT.

If we could terminate the licences, get our money back and leave early- We would.
Most of it works most of the time. Some of it is quite useful.
1) Some of its funcitons do not work on some computers. I have 2 up to date high spec Laptops that Leap have tried (but failed) get it to work properly on. And they are unable to say why. 2) Creating and saving forms and precedents in an easy acessed manner is seemingly impossible. 3) We have experienced poor funcionality and it is exceptionally rigid in its operating requirements. 4) No 24 hour /or 7 day support. 5) Expensive, and you are required to pay for 3 YEAR! licences. 6) We do not use the accounting functions as it proved incompatbale with Legal Aid billing. It was also generating VAT errors.
Thank you for your review. However, this SoftwareAdvice page is for LEAP Legal Software available in the United States. We work hard globally to address and respond to feedback from our users. Please visit the LEAP UK Community site (community.leap.co.uk) for local support for your version of the software.

Overall it has been relatively easy to learn. There are many aspects that I do not use on a daily basis and so I am not able to remember how to use them or where to find the tools to use them. I think that based upon all of the different legal management softwares I have used over the years, this one is by far the best of the bunch, but your promise of automation of forms, especially new forms is very slow and needs quite a bit of improvement. I like your chat help, they are actual humans and have always been helpful.
I like that everything is organized in the program and I have one place to find everything. I also like how easy it is to input my time.
I have issues with saving addresses into cards. There is a notes line that covers the "Save" button and it does not work. I have to do a workaround. I am constantly getting error messages about an LEAP Schema, even when I restart the computer and reinstalling has not helped. I do not like that I cannot find the subfolders in a matter where a document is located when I do a search. I do not like that...

We had never had a cloud based management system before, so considering that we made this change within the year of the pandemic hitting, the value to that feature is priceless; you can print directly to LEAP; easy integration with outlook (even though Outlook itself is not my favorite); The staff tries to be very helpful, although they do not always follow up if they dont have any answers for you; Leap has a few versions of docs that we feel are improvements over what we were using; Billing features.
We are in Massachusetts and cannot access E-File features with the courts through Leap; The system has lost address information and the capability to input it into many of our contact cards; Many document fields are inadequately set-up (maintain default names, refuse to accept checked boxes, skip sections); Invoices are confusing and do not specify the funds are received from retainers; invoices do not have a feature which specifies who has generated the billable hours (name of legal team member); does not show size of documents; not user friendly with copy/paste feature; only connects to one singular Quickbooks account (so you cannot interface with both operating and IOLTA accounts).
Thank you for taking the time to review LEAP. Our team welcomes all feedback so that we can continue to improve our software. We were looking to change our legal software, i researched approx 10 suppliers & narrowed it down to 3.
