Quite an intuitive platform with easy to use features. Time recording and billing are our favourite features! Smokeball allows easy file access in an organised platform.

Cost, however that's a pretty standard dislike for any legal software.

Ability to easily and accurately keep track of my legal billing.

The program seems to be very RAM intensive. It ran a bit slow, but I then expanded my computer's memory and it alleviated the problem.

I wish we had the option to create reports by selecting different fields.

Being able to corral the mountains of emails and documents that pass back and forth in a legal transaction is great.

At times, the online nature of the software means you are waiting a few heartbeats for a page to load up. It is not unbearable.

I like it because I no longer have to waste time searching for emails or physical documents since everything is organized and accessible in one place.

Well I would like to see greater specificity in certain aspects of the law so that an even wider range of legal forms and documents can be accessed.

Smokeball is terrific at combining the various aspects of my law practice into one, easily reachable and organized place. It has greatly improved the office's efficiency in responding to clients, getting work out the door, and staying organized.

I've been waiting for a document management program like Smokeball my entire legal career! I liked many things about Smokeball, but in particular is the ease of use and variety of features.

It takes a bit of time to load when first powering up in the morning.

Complete end to end practice management solution. Fantastic tech support and client account managers. Constantly improving the product for users. Actually does legal template automation (caption and proof of service etc) as opposed to Clio.

Cost of entry seemed very steep on 3-year contract basis. Because Smokeball integrates with all accounting processes except for operating accounts payable there is a great deal of work to get it stood up. Both of these hurdles are surmountable and worthwhile given the excellent product and service.

We started using smokeball many years ago when they had less integrations, but it was great for keeping all client documents in once central place, and for document automation. Now they have integrations with many other products we use, like Chicago Title, Court filings, billing, which make the software even more useful. The interface is really easy to use and did not have much of a learning curve

The billing software is not super intuitive. I also do not like that the price keeps increasing.

Sometimes there is a lag. Also need more resources on training to complete your own documents.

What's not to love? Everything is in one place and looks fantastic! Client's info, documents, notes, calendar items, billing, it's all in front of you. It's very user-friendly and simple to use. It was the answer to my every "I wish I could...." with what we're using now. You can tell it was developed by lawyers and legal professionals.

Nothing. It's really easy to use and saves lots of time!

I like how user friendly the program is. It is also able to be downloaded to your phone, which is very convenient as a lot of business are on the go. It has a lot of features that are available base on any business use.

There is really nothing that has come up for me as a dislike.

Fairly easy but I am still learning as support staff usually handle for me. Ease of entry of contacts to each matter. I read the info given to us and it helps me to read on paper! I am very busy with working on the "legal" end of cases so my time is limited as to all entries. I just add as I can.

It is meeting the needs of our firm except for the daily printing of a calendar that would show what all attorneys are doing. So far we are only able to print one day at a time.

The best feature is being able to e-file directly from the matter.

Customer service passes you from one person to another. No one can answer your questions. Terrible customer service. When I asked to have our files backed up to close the account, 92 files did not come over.

I'm very sorry to read this. We're aware of this case, and I've escalated it in order to address it as quickly as possible. Of course we're terribly sorry for the circumstances, but we can assure you that we're neither desperate for your money nor a scam; this is an unfortunate case that we'll do our best to assuage.
