We use it to automate and set up drip campaigns for potential clients, existing client,s and even former clients.

Pros

It is a full customer relationship management program with email automation, text messaging capabilities, advanced reporting, etc.

Cons

Setting up automations and understanding them can take some time.

We are able to take emails to the next level with tailored automations and campaigns. The segmentation is great and really helps to narrow down your customers and the messaging.

Cons

I would love an easier to use chat feature offered for the website that would then integrate. I didn't feel conversations had all the bugs worked out.

Overall, ActiveCampaign is a great product. Nice and simple UX great feature set, plenty of integrations, vast training and support documentation library, friendly team.

Pros

We migrated to ActiveCampaign from another tool. The AC team took care of most of the migration, it was quick, went smoothly, and reduced the pressure on our team. The features they offer work very well, the software is reliable, and they are still improving it.

Cons

Their are occasional glitches, and sometimes things are not where you would expect to find them. Email messaging and automation related windows open quiet slowly. Support sometimes takes a bit too long to reply.

I really like using this software to help me stay in touch and on top of my customers and clients needs.

Pros

I like that I can have a CRM, automation marketing, and messaging all in one place. There is a bit of a learning curve but they make it easy to find what you need.

Right now there is not anything that I don't like about ActiveCampaign.

ActiveCampaign is the best CRM tool on the market

So many applications can be integrated into my automations and workflows. My questions were answered immediately by the support personnel. My email campaigns are running without a hitch, and I'm confident in that.

Pros

ActiveCampaign's CRM has all the functionality I'm looking for. A variety of features in ActiveCampaign keep you organized while allowing you to tailor it to your own company's needs. When it comes to keeping track of contacts, tasks, and emails for our admin staff, the use of customized fields has been a boon. For our marketing team, the advantages of automation and campaigns have been invaluable. I enjoy the way they work with other ActiveCampaign components and third-party connectors. Compared to a basic CRM that didn't have all the functionality I required, ActiveCampaign provides a lot more options.

Cons

I've noticed that the email editor may be finicky when it comes to formatting. They should build a sophisticated native messaging feature that permits back-and-forth discussion with contacts, as well as adding additional capability to the reporting database.

My favorite email marketing automation I have ever used

The are not "monkeying" around and have created a product I look forward to using. Some email systems chimp on features but they have included things like text messaging into the system for a long time. While the paid tier is smaller it is easy to make money with ActiveCampaign.

Pros

My favorite thing is the ability to set up automation and start creating it, but not finish it. As users progress through, you can add steps to the end and keep it going. This is critical for marketing that needs to be flexible and is still in the testing phase.

Cons

While it is very minor, sometimes contact changes that you make manually require a few more clicks than needed but overall the process is clear.

ActiveCampaign is great for entry-level users in the Marketing Automation space

Set up was very easy as AC provided a implementation specialist that helped us get familiar with the software and up and running quite quickly. In addition, they have a great onboarding process to make sure all your needs and questions are answered. Highly recommended!

Pros

Best parts of ActiveCampaign (AC) include their user interface for designing & customizing emails, pop-up messaging, and automation workflows. It is very user friendly and intuitive to use. We were able to set up pop-up messaging, user tracking, and abandoned cart emails quite easily with our website, within days of starting our subscription. In addition, the customer service is phenomenal. We had a smooth onboarding experience with an exceptionally communicative team. All of our responses were answered, even the more technical ones, which they brought on an engineer to discuss with us, free of charge. 5 stars for implementation and onboarding with AC!

Cons

Some of the customizations for forms/pop-ups require some knowledge of CSS in order to get your pop-up form to look exactly the way you want. Sometimes the CSS was buggy and wasn't working, which required me to reach out to customer service, who were very responsive (within 24 hours). Also, I don't find the reporting to be as intuitive to use as say MixPanel or Amplitude. Navigating the reporting menus can be clunky at times, trying to dig down into the information you really need requires some in depth searching or just playing around with the software.

1. Integrates with almost every major platform on the planet either directly or through Zapier. 2. Set up is pretty straightforward. 3. Great product if you are looking for a central automation hub with email marketing 4. Customer Support is pretty good. 5. Pricing is very reasonable for what you get. 6. Less challenging to learn that many competitors 7. Great online learning resources

Cons

--Text Messaging Setup isn't exactly easy to figure out if you are new. --Learning automation with AC as a whole isn't for the faint of heart for newbies --Sometimes support can be a bit slow to respond and it depends on who you get. Some of the support team aren't well trained --Paying a pro to help you can be expensive.

Email marketing, marketing automation, personalization, list building, list segmenting, lead nurturing, lead analysis, marketing reporting, and more. It has help me focus on what matters most and greatly improved prospect engagement.

Pros

My favorite thing about ActiveCampaign is its machine learning functionality. It helps you know what deals are most worthy of your time, helps you optimize your emails, and predicts the best time to send. It's incredible. Additionally, the workflow builder is really clean and easy to use. They also offer a really intuitive chat bot for on site messaging. ActiveCampaign is a great tool.

Cons

The CRM is a little wanting. It's clear the focus is on email marketing and marketing automation. I would say it's probably not the best CRM solution for a larger B2B company with long buying cycles. But other than that note, there's not much I don't like.

I've been using ActiveCampaign for a while and what I like most is that it sticks the messaging aspect of marketing automation. It doesn't try to be an all-in-one solution like some of the other platforms. It integrates with most other tools, making it so that you can choose the best of each for your stack. The site and event tracking are key to the automations that we use as well and that's a feature I don't see on other platforms in the market.

Cons

A better looking form builder/designs would be great since, using the native Active Campaign form allows for better tracking.

ActiveCampaign is one of the best kept secrets in the marketing world. The automation builder is both easy-to-use AND powerful. You can trigger actions and segment by almost any criteria you can imagine. In a lot of ways, the automation builder rivals the (what I consider) best-in-class solutions such as Marketo. The email builder is intuitive and the template library comes with a lot of good looking...

Cons

The most obvious one is the lack of a landing page builder. Having landing pages in the tool would be ideal, but solutions such as LeadPages can be easily integrated. Having to pay for email compatibility testing (for different devices) is a bit annoying, feels like you're being "nickel and dimed." The reporting leaves a lot to be desired. I'm really hoping they invest in this area (much more important than having built-in landing pages in my view), as it would really elevate the solution and make it an easy choice vs the Infusionsofts of the world.
