Pros

The team is great with helping you troubleshoot any problems and my team loves how easy it is to use.
I really love and appreciate the ease of use. It's super easy to throw together an email, assign tags, create lists, etc.
I am so happy to have Active Campaign on board. It is just what I needed to help promote my online program.

Pros

It is reasonably priced and is very easy to use. It is very useful for faster typing as the software has excellent voice recognition and perfectly types out what I speak.
I love this software because it is good for all kinds of business from small to big to create a phone number people can call and text you on.
Ve used this for years and absolutely love it. It’s really awesome to have and works really well.

Cons

And that hurt our webinar registration for that week (which was a bummer) and we found out about this on the day of the webinar.
The major problem is the lack of ability to copy an email to more than the recipient. The lack of this feature is putting the continued use of this product in doubt.
I've a problem to pay for my upgrade plan due to an currency problem. The website automatically converts the price to my local currency.

Cons

You are blind as to who the caller is when receiving calls which can lead to a problem if you are both waiting for and avoiding a call at the same time.
I had a problem for the longest time where the playback on a voicemail would stop whenever the phone was brought to my ear.
If you don’t use the software frequently it will delete your number, so that can be a little annoying if you have long periods of time between needing to use it.

It’s perfect to have all enquiries in one place with the automated setup to do half the work for me!

Great Value CRM

It's a great software. I can easily manage my leads and clients, make phone calls from my phone software. The pros outweighs any cons so this one is a keeper.

Pros

Integrates well with Facebook, and Google Marketing Integrates with the phone system I use (Just Call io) Easy to navigate once you get use to the icons HIPAA certified to store PII Great price for the features that it offers Integrates with Stripe well

Cons

Icons are not customizable "Task" feature could use some improvement. It doesn't integrate well with my Google calendar tasks

Promising but poor support, bugs and clunky interface make it hard to use

I have been attempting to do the following: Email marketing campaigns New customer onboarding email automations Customer satisfaction surveys and Google review solicitation

Pros

The tool has a quite a bit of promise. It has a usable automation designer that would be terrific if it weren't so slow. Their onboarding process is pretty good, with phone-based coaching calls for a limited startup period.

Cons

The "wait until" feature for automations frequently fails to work properly, leaving users stuck forever in a wait state that should have ended. The price is not very affordable. The email design tool for campaigns is generally very crude and really only fit for designing plain text emails. Also, there is no easy way to undo changes. Pressing "ctrl-z", which is an industry standard control key for "undo",...

Cons

Not much really, some features can take a short while to find but 20 seconds on Google gives the answers. Would like landing pages available on lower tiered options though.

Clunky set up, but super useful and feature-rich tool

Automated workflows!

Pros

Automated emails, that look great. The Google extension allows us to easily add a contact to Active Campaign with ease and to tag them accordingly. Glad to see an app was finally released. Analytics are good.

Cons

The set up was a bit clunky. Customising the emails is a bit cumbersome at times too. I think these are fairly common issues with most CRMs and email automation tools though.

Easy Choice

AC allows you to get up and running quickly. The visualization makes it simple and quick to setup automations that would take me 5 times longer using other software. Form builder allows fields to be automatically populated in AC when a prospect opts in within one of my funnels without any need for a zap. The forms also include useful built in actions to make it quick and easy for setup.

Pros

Easy setup. Visualized automations. Form builder easily integrates with my funnel

Cons

Had to use a couple workarounds to get one of my Zaps to work. Integration with Google Sheets has not produced the exact result I’m looking for and I was told by support that it would require custom development.

Has Most of the Functionality You Need, but Service is Lacking in a Huge Way

Our needs are fairly basic and ActiveCampaign meets those needs. Getting through to customer service is a serious challenge.

Pros

It's easy to use, comparable to other platforms out there. Because of this, it's easy to learn so you can hit the ground running. Not too tough to set up and export a report. Templates help with branding, which is important because the basic blank email is very limited visually speaking.

Cons

Heaven help you if you need to contact someone. I have left voice mails that were never returned and one that was returned two business days later. I have waited in the queue all day in some cases--even for the live chat online. No one ever follows up (you have to keep after them) and they are not responsive to requests. (To be fair, when you do finally get someone, they are friendly and knowledgeable.) Tried to upgrade to the next tier of emails and ran into a problem. Never had such a hard time trying to pay someone more money. It's like they didn't want to help me spend more dollars... CLEARLY, ActiveCampaign needs to hire more CSRs...lots more.

I've used many email platforms but ActiveCampaign continues to be my choice.

ActiveCampaign makes it easy to send emails to my list and grow my list too. I can quickly set up new opt-ins and automation and it doesn't add stress to my life, which has not been my experience with other providers.

Pros

I love how easy and intuitive ActiveCampaign is to use, as someone who is not great at tech I found it easy from day one, and even better they have great educational resources, tutorials and support so you're never trapped in a google rabbit hole trying to figure out how to do something.

Cons

Their basic email designs aren't as 'beautiful' as some other companies... but I prefer to send fairly plain email campaigns and because it's so easy to customize you can really make them look however you like.

Great software. Highly recommend. Great customer service team as well.

Pros

Coming from MailChimp, learning ActiveCampaign was a breath of fresh air. Awesome layout, easy to understand. Great tagging features. Great tracking and easy to send campaigns. Really awesome support for when you're stuck, too. Rarely do you need to do anything more than google the question and the ActiveCampaign support articles will come up.

Cons

It's very expensive to add lead tracking, which is something I wanted to use.

One of the best, but could use a few upgrades

I am able to access several different arms of our ministry regularly through Active Campaign, and it's really helpful. I love the ease, analytics and the customer service.

Pros

The onboarding and customer service is fantastic! I love the options for lists, segments and contacts. That is really what I needed AC for most, and it's worked great.

Cons

I've had several glitches in trying to create campaigns and lost emails. In the last month, I cannot use my templates in Safari and had to download Google Chrome just to use the service I pay for. I've had issues with formatting and have had to send multiple test emails, continuously correcting the same thing as well.

Pros

Active campaign helped us scale our business effectively through the use of their CRM, pipeline management, website integration, and marketing tools. The biggest benefit we saw was the use of attribution marketing to tie Google ads campaigns to our inbound lead deals, in order to get more data that would help us with future bookings. Also the automations were a huge win, and allowed us to do less work, and manage our pipeline better.

Cons

The reporting all seems valuable, however it's pretty slow and somewhat difficult to set up. Aside from that, I wish there were more attribution related to organic searches and non-paid advertising.

Good marketing automation all-in-one tool

Active Campaign is a great tool to start E-Mail marketing and marketing automation endeavors.

Pros

What I like most is that ActiveCampaign is an all-in-one E-Mail Marketing tool, that enables the sendout of newsletters, the creation of e-mail marketing automations, lists, landing pages and much more. The tool has great integrations with Zapier that enables lead generation campaigns from other marketing channels (e.g. Meta, Google). E.g. we target users interested in our white papers on Facebook and integrate them to our e-mail marketing campaigns with ActiveCampaign.

Cons

For highly customized layouts and designs, ActiveCampaign is not the right tool. The landing pages do not really look very nice, and it is not easy customizing them. Furthermore, we had problems reaching the support the time our account got blocked. The Lead Scoring capabilities in ActiveCampaign are given, however they are not easy and intuitive.

Problems which I am solving with ActiveCampaign are as such:- 1) Collecting leads from different sources and manaing at one place. 2) Lead Segmentation. 3) Running tailored campaigns. 4) Sales & Marketing Automation is easy. 5) Deals Managemen with different stages & Pipelines makes it easy to naviagte and close the deals. 6) Timely reminder to the sales team. Increase in revenue for the business.

Pros

Most impactful features:- 1) Lead Management, Segmentation. 2) Automation. Workflow Creation. 3) Campaign Management, Template Management. 4) Deals Module. ActiveCampaign is easy to use and handle ( they provide step by step module by module tutorials for the users). Integrating ActiveCampaign was super easy for my existing business. Overall, I love ActiveCampaign for what they are doing for small business owners.

Cons

Missing features or and improment is, if they can allow to directly integrate with most of the apps that is very frequent in use by small business owners like - google sheet, wordpress, shopify etc. then it will save some more money of business owners and we don't need to buy third party tools like Zapier or intergromat. There is nothing in ActiveCampaign which I have found difficult to use. Integration with my existing business was super easy.

The Best Kept Secret in Marketing Automation

Pros

ActiveCampaign is one of the best kept secrets in the marketing world. The automation builder is both easy-to-use AND powerful. You can trigger actions and segment by almost any criteria you can imagine. In a lot of ways, the automation builder rivals the (what I consider) best-in-class solutions such as Marketo. The email builder is intuitive and the template library comes with a lot of good looking...

Cons

The most obvious one is the lack of a landing page builder. Having landing pages in the tool would be ideal, but solutions such as LeadPages can be easily integrated. Having to pay for email compatibility testing (for different devices) is a bit annoying, feels like you're being "nickel and dimed." The reporting leaves a lot to be desired. I'm really hoping they invest in this area (much more important than having built-in landing pages in my view), as it would really elevate the solution and make it an easy choice vs the Infusionsofts of the world.
