Pros

The team is great with helping you troubleshoot any problems and my team loves how easy it is to use.
I really love and appreciate the ease of use. It's super easy to throw together an email, assign tags, create lists, etc.
I am so happy to have Active Campaign on board. It is just what I needed to help promote my online program.

Pros

A good amount of details and marketing capabilities. HubSpot has some of the best integrations I have seen with other platforms.
HubSpot helps track, monitor and create the best content for growing my business. I have seen great strides from using this company.
Lots of cool features that are quite easy to use. Great academy to learn how to take good advantage of all the features.

Cons

And that hurt our webinar registration for that week (which was a bummer) and we found out about this on the day of the webinar.
The major problem is the lack of ability to copy an email to more than the recipient. The lack of this feature is putting the continued use of this product in doubt.
I've a problem to pay for my upgrade plan due to an currency problem. The website automatically converts the price to my local currency.

Cons

I am disappointed with the number of panel limits you can have with the contracted plan. The other disadvantage is that UX can be tricky at times.
Any interactions with any person who works at HubSpot. Arrogant, rude, condescending, lacking any understanding of business rules.
It's frankly disgusting that this company relies on such draconian measures as a source of revenue.

Exceptional customer support, great tool, my preference for sales and marketing CRMs if Hubspot is too expensive.

Pros

Extremely flexible tool paired with Zapier, allowing integration with almost tool I would want to automate.

Cons

Because it's so open with what it can do, onboarding and setting up can be intimidating for new users.

ActiveCampaign is a great choice for those who have fairly strait forward marketing automation needs and aren't looking for something exceptionally powerful.

Pros

ActiveCampaign is a great little marketing automation tool that provides some great features at a price more reasonable than some of the more "enterprise" solutions like say Marketo or Hubspot.

Cons

It always seems to run a little slow for me, not like so slow to be unusable, but slow enough that I notice it.

Very good overall. I’ve worked with many marketing products like this, and products like hubspot are overkill for most small businesses. I recommend it to all my clients that don’t have a huge content marketing operation. If you just need a functional marketing automation and Campaign management platform, AC is great.

Pros

Affordability. Integrates with other software easily. Campaign management is super straightforward. Ideal small business marketing software for smaller lists and budgets.

Cons

No landing page builder or forms that I know of. Email formatting can be a little buggy at times.

I've already worked with a lot of CRM and marketing automations, such as Hubspot, Salesforce, RD Station, Pipedrive, Pipefy... and by far ActiveCampaign is the best value for money.

The Best Email Automation / CRM Software For The Price

Pros

The best part about ActiveCampaign is the value you receive with the price. ActiveCampaign although I love it, is no Hubspot, Marketo, Pardot, etc. but it's the next best thing if you're looking for a lean marketing CRM, sales pipeline, and marketing automation software with less than $1-50k a month budget. I recommend ActiveCampaign to all startup clients.

Cons

ActiveCampaign's software and UI could be cleaner and nicer like Hubspots. It's analytics are pretty non-existent but yet again for the price... AC is the best.

Extremely high value Marketing Automation system priced at a highly competitive rate to traditional enterprise tier Marketing Automation/CRM solutions while meeting almost 80-90% of the features and functions of traditional enterprise solutions. Many organisations that are currently on enterprise Marketing Automation solutions could easily migrate to ActiveCampaign and see a better Ux for their teams and significant savings of over 70% on their tooling costs.

Pros

A step up from most Email Marketing tools that brings a powerful Marketing CRM and automation system. Highly competitive against the enterprise grade platforms of Hubspot and Marketo. Brings much of the day to day functionality you will typically need and avoids a lot of the excess and bloat of the larger enterprise platforms. Easy to setup and build automations and campaigns. Very cost effective Marketing Automation CRM that integrates well with all other Enterprise tools

Cons

Field management and auto-fill functionality is lack. Email/Templates builder while works well is very rigid and locks in to the system, requiring custom builds to be made inside the platform. Little to no documentation or functionality for importation of external builds.

Pros

ActiveCampaign is one of the best options for startups and smbs when looking for marketing automation and email software. It's much cheaper than the bigger guys (marketo, hubspot) but has similar features. Definitely worth considering if you're on a budget but want advanced automation.

Cons

The HTML builder is a little buggy sometimes, and their support isn't super fast. But overall I'm happy with the product.

ActiveCampaign is a great CRM option for small businesses

ActiveCampaign is especially great for marketing teams looking to automate processes. It doesn't have the full depth of customizability for sales features that HubSpot or Zoho have, but for the price, it offers the required contact management features a salesperson would need.

Pros

ActiveCampaign offers a lot of great marketing automation features, has a nice interface for creating and editing web forms, and makes it easy to keep contact records organized.

Cons

ActiveCampaign has limits on items like the number of webforms you can create, which means if you have a big website, you cannot have one webform per page. That was what frustrates me most about the platform, but you get around it by categorizing pages instead. Also, it doesn't offer custom properties to differentiate users like Zoho does (by this I don't mean user fields; I mean different property types, like for example making one called Leads instead of the typical Contacts property type).

It makes automation of my email marketing so easy and simple. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for the best email automation software. I also use the CRM to integrate everything together. It is much more cost effective than HubSpot, which I've also tried.

Pros

ActiveCampaign makes it incredibly easy to organize email follow-up flows to react however you wish, and with virtually no training. My business marketing got way easier once I switched from MailChimp to ActiveCampaign.

Cons

As with any email automation software you do have to pay more as you get more email contacts, so this is nothing unique to Active Campaign. You just need to make sure that your contacts are valuable for actual sales so that you're getting the maximum value.
