It’s a staple of our Shopify-based ecommerce store.
Referral Candy works. We use it as a part of our Shopify store, and we’ve had success with it. About 3% of our monthly sales are generated via Referral Candy. The interface is easy to use, and the constantly make improvements, month to month. We essentially set it up, and review it once every four months — we love how little administration we need to do.
We’ve seen other referral programs offer a “stage-based” referral incentive (eg if you refer 5 or 10 people you get a special Gift). I wish Referral Candy offered this. Additionally, there are automatic “share” buttons that are easy to include for customers associated with Facebook and Twitter. I wish they had the ability for us to program sharing via WhatsApp. Finally, it appears the price has increased for ge software, which is not ideal

Poor and expensive
Nothing. It isn't working yet for us, so I have no results at all
Few examples how other brands have used it... How often to use it, where it is placed on out site, examples of the process etcThe software didn’t work for our trial period. Without asking, they billed a year in advance, even before it worked. We are now 6 weeks in and have not used it once and have so far paid over $500!!Customer service is also poor! With no response to messaging, thus the review. I told them if they didn't get back to me I will write the review and hey ho... they didn't respond.We are still trying to get the money back and still trying to make it work, to then decide if it is good or not ! I was able to set up my referral campaign within 24 hours! Their ready made templates, intuitive software, easy to understand help documents and quick live support made installing and going live a seamless experience!

What I like the most about ReferralCandy is that it makes the business grow while making the customers happy, and their friends too! It let this happen through a handful of contents that are partially customizable, and all the rewards to the advocates and their friends are sent out automatically, asking no more effort than to choose which are the discounts that you want to give to the customers, and what are the rules that make the discounts applicable (for example the minimum order value). Plus, the support team is very quick and helpful in answering doubts and questions and giving useful tips to make the most of this software! :)
I would say that the things I liked least about ReferralCandy are: - that I am not able to deeply customize the contents through the HTML exposed - that I am not able to understand how the contents performs singularly (for example how many links are shared from the post-purchase pop-up, or through the first email, the reminder email and so on)

ReferralCandy is a great referral program tool for businesses of all sizes. It's easy to set up and use and the customization options are great. The analytics are also very helpful for tracking progress. While it can be a bit pricey for some, it's definitely worth the cost if you want to grow your business through referrals. Compared to its alternatives, ReferralCandy offers great features at a competitive price.
ReferralCandy is an amazing tool for growing your business through referrals. It's easy to set up and use, and I find the interface to be intuitive and user-friendly. I love the ability to customize the look and feel of the referral program to match my brand, as well as the detailed analytics to track progress.
ReferralCandy is a great tool, but it can be a bit pricey for some businesses. Additionally, some features are only available with the higher-tier plans.

Haven't started using it yet. But I think our loyal customers will help us spread the word about us and help grow our database.
The program is relatively easy to set up and get started. However, don't rush make ourself know with the consequences of certain settings.
Although the software is relatively straightforward, I had many questions about reward setting and other areas of the software. Only once you get really deep into the software certain consequences become clear or start raising questions. I think the reward setting page could be more clear. If you want I am willing to give you more detailed information and input. I think it would help to add a calculation model feature that can be used to simulate what cost/benefit a certain reward will have. Ie. what does a reward cost and what is the benefit. I made this in Excel now, and it was really useful. I have had frequent contact with your customer service officer [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN]. Her help has been very friendly, fast and accurate. In my opinion she's doing a great job!

We needed a simple referral system we could activate to increase our acquisition. Most platforms on the market have affiliate marketing capabilities that we didn't need and their pricing scaled along with that. ReferralCandy offered a simple referral system that matched our requirements in an easy to manage package with a lot of thoughtful features that could get anyone's referral program up and running quickly.
The software is functionally operational from day 1. It has the core features of a referral program and common access points for integration. Their system is open enough to allow for additional tinkering to adapt it to your system but it you can hit the ground running.
The ways of accessing information on users enrolled to the referral programs and analytics needs more granular control. Its virtually impossible to manage and migrate large amounts of data in an efficient manner. As such, it may be difficult to use the product to scale but their customer support and development team maintained comms with us so we were able to eventually solve the issues but there were many compromises.

I have been using this product for less than a month so I can't really comment on how great the product is yet - however I can comment that the onboard process is thorough. I've had a couple of issues setting up due to the complexity of my website, but two different support staff have worked with me to get everything working the way I need it.
The pricing of this product is quite expensive compared to other referral programs, but I had to choose it due to its integrations with other apps I use. It will remain to be seen as to whether it pays for itself but I'm hoping it will make it easy for customers to refer their friends.

We have definitely increased the number of people that tell friends and whose friends convert to a purchase. Word of mouth is our most cost effective means of promotion. We still do many other things as well but dollar for dollar this is a fantastic value compared to advertising.
Referral Candy is easy to use and implement on my site. Customer support is friendly and prompt with responses. My customers really appreciate the rewards for telling friends.
The emails are a little clunky to edit and I had a little trouble finding the setting that controlled how frequently people received reminder emails, and a few clients got irritated by that. I found the setting for that finally and now no longer send reminder emails.

It's been a good experience so far, though we have not had much luck thus far getting referrals, but that is more on us and our customers, not the software. Their customer support has been very responsive by email, Representative has been especially helpful.
I like the pricing structure of a low monthly fee compared to other products coupled with a modest pay-for-performance fee. Product was very easy to setup, we were able to easily setup the Javascript on our check-out page.
For the emails that go out I'd like to be able to reference some more dynamic fields we can build into the email message such as the referrer's referral link.

The amount of detail I can see from the dashboard regarding my customer interactions is really amazing.
The ease of setup and implementing into our woocommerce marketplace. Rep was a great help in ensuring we were live and functional with ReferralCandy.
I don’t like the commission on referral dollars. Our marketplace does not make money on most of the transactions from our site so this will be a cost we have to eat as our traffic increases, but we hope that the traffic will add to our overall subscription services sales. It is risky as we grow.

What I like most about this software is how easy it is to set up and get started on creating referral programs. Referral Candy makes it very easy for us to implement their system for merchants to boost conversions and spread the word about their companies in such an amazing way.
What I like least about this software is the leap for monthly pricing as you get into the enterprise space, however that's just because it's harder to get a client to sign up for it (but hey, that's just business and I get it). The monthly price point is hard to beat for something like this, so it's a good alternative.

Great onboarding, very helpful getting us setup, very patient with all our questions and concerns
Very cost effective, easy to setup, love that we are able to customize all of the landing pages and emails sent to customers. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] from customer support was very helpful in solving a post-setup issue we had.
It would be ideal if the customer doing the referring could email the referrals to their friends using the software.

Its is best solution, per se, to maximize the voice of customers. I've found out that the best thing a customer loves is getting rewarded for their time, their referral.
I've tried other apps in the remote past, but sticked to this one because it can be customized and re-customized to my needs. I like clean UI and stats and it really boosted our revenue by 15-20%. Works well with shopify and each and every clean customer who recommends our site/product is rewarded. I have already recovered the ReferralCandy cost in the third month of its use.
Price may be a concern for small stores. Limitations in discount codes is a big no-no, and fraud automation instead of full automation makes other competitors suffer.

Great value for what it actually does.
When referring to a friend, the friend does not need to have a profile on the merchant's store and the code is automatically added at checkout.
Can't think of any. The app is very easy to use for customers and to set up.

Referral programme to get more organic conversions and a motivation for current customers to stay longer because of getting a discount for their next box if they refer someone else.
When everything is set up, it is easy to use. Customer support was great.
Unfortunately there were quite a lot of technical issues before I could start working with it. Also I find the monthly price that will be charged after the trial quite high since it is not only that but also the percentage that is taken off the referrals that are made.

[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] the CSR was helpful when I raised pricing concerns with them, and even in the beginning they were very helpful during our set up. I don't remember having to wait long email times for communication, so it must have been pretty smooth.
It's easy to setup for most IT guys and it's not a large monthly cost per month!
The pricing is a bit expensive over time as your company grows and your company uncovers new "all-in-one" software that can do the same thing ReferralCandy does as part of their booking platform for a slightly higher price than ReferralCandy

Thus far it has been a breeze. The one time I had an issue, the customer service rep [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] helped me, quickly and correctly, without making me jump through hoops, it was a joy in a tech world where the user is often running around in circles to get a clear answer.
Ease of use , integration and great customer service at affordable rate
Nothing yet, although i bit more options for email/ embedded page format customization would be nice.

Easy integration with whatever platform you have, mine's self-hosted. It increased my sales about 15% 3 months down the road, no harm trying for 30 days.
