Awesome Email Marketing Software for Newbies

2018-05-22

Pros

Aweber is the first EMS I ever used. They offer an excellent service at reasonable rates with lots of great features. They also offer discounts if you pay quarterly or annually which is helpful if you hate monthly charges. It's pretty easy to import your list to Aweber, they offer phone, email and chat support, they have a wide variety of responsive email templates, list segmentation, some decent integrations and basic marketing automation.

Cons

If you need this feature I suggest GetResponse. I also think MailChimp and GetResponse provide superior reporting options.

The easiest autoresponder for beginners

2018-08-07

I've tried GetResponse and others and they are also awesome, but I like the simplicity of Aweber so I don't really see why I would ever change.

Pros

I've used Aweber since 2014, and i've NEVER had an issue with them. Sure, they have downtime just like every other autoresponder a couple times per year, but it's always fixed really quickly. The deliverability is awesome, it's extremely easy to use and their customer is support is insanely responsive. I have had to do a few minor changes to my account every now and then, I kid you not, they have taken care of my issues usually within 2-3 minutes of me opening up the chat (which is now open 24/7)

Cons

I've heard that if you open a new account with Aweber now, you need to use their service for around a month using double optin, which could be annoying. When I set my account up several years ago, I didn't have to do that. So if you're planning on running paid ads etc right away, that might be an issue for you. If not, Aweber is awesome and i'm sure you'll love it.

Response from AWeber Communications

Hi Jonas,

Thanks so much for your feedback! We really appreciate it. I wanted to quickly clarify that, generally speaking, we don't require new customers to use double opt-in after signing up for an account. Please let us know if you have any questions or need any help with your account.

Switched From AWeber + LeadPages, Value, More, Just Better All The Way Around!

2017-05-16

A combination of Email Service and Landing Pages Combined! Plus the Tutorials leave nothing left undone! Very Impressive and Professional Company. Landing Pages are very Professional and High Converting, many to choose from and many categories to even build it from scratch.

Pros

It has Landing Pages, More Contacts and $4 cheaper than AWeber alone.

Cons

Close at 5 pm Eastern, and Closed on Weekends for Phone Support...They do provide Online Chat Support in their closed hours!

Great email service provider for solo/small business

2016-04-21

Pros

As a solopreneur, GetResponse delivers what I need at an acceptable price point, and provides responsive service. The HTML email builder is easy to use, drag-and-drop, and comes with many usable designs.

Cons

While the API is available, few other providers seem to integrate with the system - unlike Mailchimp or Aweber, which seem to integrate with everybody.

Recommendations to others considering GetResponse

In its current iteration, GetResponse is very competitive product for what it provides. I understand that they are about to launch an upgrade to their service which would compete with ActiveCampaign. This could be a very welcome evolution.

Fantastic Software at a Fantastic Price

2019-03-26

Since I switched from Aweber to GetResponse I have seen my productivity and business growth.

Pros

I loved the fact that I was able to get up and running so quickly. You can easily integrate it with other software. Literally with a few clicks of a button.

Cons

When I first signed up I had to contact support because it wouldn't load up. This was because my cache needed cleared. Support were very quick to rectify the problem and very helpful.
