Easiest Workflow for the End User and Enterprise Administrator

Reviewed 8 years ago

At a large University with over 50,000 students, Visix has been a turn key solution to be able to communicate quickly across our entire campus. We even utilize Visix at our outside campuses that can be 1.5 hours away by the click of the mouse. There are other options out there that seem very simple for cheaper, but from a management standpoint, Visix is hands down a great solution! It is all about the end user and they have told me the system is so easy to use.

Pros

Ease of use and Enterprise Management of all of our players is extremely simple from the Web Interface.

Vendor response

Wade, What a great review! I know we've been in touch since this post, but we're finally getting some online savvy and wanted to reply here, as well. It's always great to hear how our product is being used by our clients, especially those with large deployments. I love the fact that you guys are really exploiting the centralized management feature, but still tailoring content for each location. It's so important to localize communications to engage viewers, and you guys are nailing it. Looking forward to our continued partnership. Sean Matthews, President and CEO, Visix

Decent Digital Signage software but there are probably better alternatives out there

Reviewed 7 years ago

It displays slide shows effectively around campus

Pros

They offer good technical support and the person who manages our account is very helpful. We've had their products at my workplace for over 10 years.

Cons

It is very expensive. A license to use the software for one digital signage player! Also the software is pretty clunky and not intuitive to use. I guess it is basically ok for displaying slide shows on TV screens. But if you want to do something more flashy with it: ie stream videos, social media, dynamic content, etc. it is a very difficult and complex to get it working.

Vendor response

Matthew, Thanks for reviewing AxisTV a second time! I'm sorry we didn't reply here sooner. I especially appreciate your recognition of our terrific support team and your account manager. We believe we have great people driving our success, and it's nice to have customers acknowledge that. I understand you've run into some limitations in the software. We should talk about what version of AxisTV...

Axis TV Signage Suite

Reviewed 3 years ago

Their support was very good, but their flexibility in licensing was not.

Pros

I liked the ease of use of this product. Templates allow users to incorporate several different messages on one screen (event, time, date, ticker).

Cons

We could only get 3 or 4 licenses. The next option was 99 licenses and we didn't need that many. It was very expensive.

Vendor response

Sharon, Thanks for taking the time to review our software. I'm glad you found it easy to use and it sounds like you made the most of the features. I'm sorry about the licensing, however, we do offer a range of licensing options for 1, 5, 50 or unlimited users, so that may have been a misunderstanding. If you'd still like to add licenses, don't hesitate to contact us. Debbie DeWitt, Marketing Communications Manager, Visix

Expensive hardware, unfriendly software, and always breaking

Reviewed 2 years ago

Everyone at my company hated this software. It was expensive. The hardware was unstable. The software was not user friendly.

Pros

Nothing. Both admins and users hated using this software.

Cons

The players were unreliable and required constant updates, which involved a lot of manual labor. This is really bad for us across multiple regional campuses. We wasted weeks of time trying to maintain this software. The content management was horrendously difficult to use. I was an admin on this for 5 years and could never navigate the online menus enough to schedule content.

Vendor response

Jonathan, I'm sorry that our product didn't work out for you. I hope you were able to take advantage of our training and support teams that are always on hand to help with technical or user questions. I wish you the best of luck in the future. Debbie DeWitt - Marketing Communications Manager, Visix
