We like the fact that it works with AWS servers to help keep costs down and only pay for what you send. Although, we are still paying a decent monthly fee for the service on top.

- Can't duplicate a campaign once its been sent. This is a pain to have to recreate campaigns that you may just want to tweak a bit and resend to a new list. - No API to send mail. Big bummer. - More template options

Thanks for your review Brando. You can definitely duplicate campaigns, I've sent instructions on how to do this to your email address. As for your other feedback, we take it on board and appreciate it. We have a couple of things coming later in the year which may make you very happy, namely a new version of the API and a new editor.

Creating campaigns is a breeze and we had not issues on their website

Email wise dependent on amazon ses. The templates are very poor and extremely limited in counted

Cheaper than mailchimp, good dashboards, has bookfunnel integration api, great campaign and automation planning tool

Its has many of the same features and functions that the big email campaign platforms have, but at a percentage of the costs. Unless you have some particular need you're solving with MailChimp or CampaignMonitor, EmailOctopus will deliver mail reliably at a lower cost. Uses Amazon SES, which should be fairly reliable.

I haven't used every feature, but what I have used so far (simple mail lists, campaigns, etc.), I do not see any cons.

I think EmailOctopus is perfect for either the beginner or even the advanced user, since the key indicators included on the platform have already been good enough to help the users to understand the feedback and enact following action. Overall speaking, I will say it's with superb high "COST and PROFIT" value. Besides, customer service is kind to answer your questions with details. Much appreciated it. Also look forward to seeing more and more intuitive functions on the platform.

It will be great if there are more template to choose while making the campaign. The existing templates have already been good enough, though.

Nothing much but just increase the number of templates. Also, add the ability for clients to download those who have read the campaigns and automatically engage these clients

It is the price and simplicity that drew me to EmailOctopus and make it the right solution for our organization. While it lacks some of the advanced features of competitors like MailChimp and Constant Contact, it has the features that we need to manage our email campaigns. List management, simple segmentation, basic email campaigns, and a simple editor that makes it easy to create good looking emails is exactly what we needed.

I wish that we could do a little more with the custom fields in the member lists. For example, you can't include dynamic content based on a field on a subscriber's profile except for the contents of the field itself.
