We utilized Constant Contacts after the business went away from using MS Access. This opened up a whole new world for client and customer communications. When the organization adopted its new CRM, we were told by the CRM managers that CC was not compatable and that we would have to utilize another software to send out mass emails, but this also entailed us to import client/customer contact data into...
Constant Contact is now directly integrated into the CRM system that is utilized by the business. Makes this extremely easy to generate mass emails to filtered groups as well as seemlessly update our "do not email" list of within the CRM. This is all done directly through CC back to our CRM without office staff having to manually indicate this within the CRM data base.
Using templated email formats for letters, flyers, etc.. is easy but putting together custom projects is a bit more labor extensive.

It's a very good tool to send bulk email to your audience and cost wise it is good as well.
There was some customization and integration issues with I found to connect with the CRM.

Nice if one is creative in selecting templates for your email marketing campaigns. Also it offers an opt out for your customers and prospects.
Pricey product without any CRM functionality. Took me way too long to figure out how to create a campaign.

Constant contact is great, and awesome for small businesses!
What I like most about Constant Contact is that it is very easy to use, set up campaigns, and see the results.
What I like least about Constant Contact is that it doesn't have its own CRM, but it does have integrations!

The features and functionality are intuitive so there is little to no learning curve. It's easy to get started right away.
This product seems overpriced when compared to other CRM products that have virtually the same functionality for significantly less money.

Many different functionalities to take advantage of besides email, like surveys, CRM management, landing pages, etc.
Some of the features are still a little clunky and the wide variety makes for lack of depth within each (e.g. you can schedule a post to social media, but you can't tag accounts or edit articles). Sometimes the email editor can be a little clunky as well, but it is a drag and drop interface.

Creating, customizing and sending high volume outbound marketing emails is made easy by CC.
Constant Contact not only allocates website builder tools but also has CRM, email marketing and campaign management capabilities.
I have been using Constant Contact for an extended duration now and I have never experienced challenges.
Hi Dilak! Thank you so much for the five stars and glad you're having such a great experience!

Fantastic marketing analytics to see how marketing tatics are going
Extremely user friendly with the ability to connect with other platforms as well as export information into CRM
I would say the only thing I have a compliant about was price but still very affordable for smaller nonprofits

Constant Contact provides an easy to use way to stay in touch with a large mailing list of contacts - and is easy to use for building out websites on the fly with personalization tokens.
We mostly leverage Constant Contact for newsletters and non-sales initiatives, as it doesn't integrate well with our CRM for mapping a customer journey.

It's very simple and straightforward - it fits well for small businesses.
It's pretty limiting if you wanted to take your CRM plans up a notch. It does not make more complex marketing campaigns very easy to create either.

discount pricing. fast customer support.
It is a very easy system to merge data into - tracks many fields and the CRM functionalities are great for the price.
There are not enough shortcuts for duplicating data in campaigns. rely too much on cutting and pasting vs. more sophisticated options.

I give it double thumbs up since it has added features apart from marketing automation, which include CRM and landing pages creation.
It is quite pricey to buy domain at Constant Contact, but I have pointed from other hosting companies which works perfect for me and it is cheap.

Our company has used constant contact for many years and it has served us well. We will likely switch to a different software provider that has better integrations with our CRM.
Easy to use for our newsletters and other pay information pieces to our subscribers. It's reliable and a very stable tool that we can depend on. The back end analytical tools are good as well.
No complaints. It's good for what we need. We will likely switch from constant contact in the future to another app that better integrates with our CRM.

Ease of setting up email campaigns and surveys.
Setting up email and survey campaign are quite easy and have good reporting on the backend. These reports have allowed use to fine-tune how we market to certain groups.
More integration with our current CRM would be nice. It would make it much easier to import new client data rather than have to copy and paste all the time.

I started with Constant Contact and was able to jump right into it and felt very comfortable with the system. The distribution lists and tags were very easy to use and made my use of the database as a CRM much easier. We didn't want to spend money on a true CRM so this did work well for our use.
I found CC very easy to use and the templates more in line with what I'm interested in.
I get emails that may never open my emails but they just keep getting collected and increases my total and the pricing reflects that. I'd also like to get a little guidance on what might cause an email to get caught in a junk folder or be looked at as spam.

I use Constant Contact to send e-blasts to prospects and clients. Because building the email in the format I wish is easier than other email services or the CRM,
The ease of creating an email (email blast, newsletter, etc) is just as easy if not easier than using a more sophisticated deployment from a CRM.
I would like to see more options when it comes to adding html and also the ability to take the creative from Constant Contact and use it in another email application such as Outlook or a email account like Gmail. Perhaps this does exist but I haven't found out how to do so.

The CRM sync to DonorPerfect is invaluable. Being able to track how often donors are contacted helps pull out trends on which we want to capitalize.
Honestly, I feel like I'm not able to take advantage of all that Constant Contact is offering terms of email inclusion, and that might just be that I don't have enough time to examine all the features.

We think that it is lacking in comparison to many of the other CRM/Newsletter systems out there. The technology behind it is need of an overhaul.
Its simple to use and easy to setup your newsletter. Several of our clients use Constant Contact for this purpose.
Integrations. Constant Contact lacks severely in the integration department. Their plugins for Wordpress are unreliable, and require constant management.

We have a small marketing department so a lot of things are self-serve. We ran an outreach campaign for an event we organized and CC helped us to promote the event.
Constant Contact was pretty easy to use and it integrated well with our CRM which was Salesforce. It was quick and simple to learn how to launch mail campaigns.
There wasn't much to not like about it, we just needed some basic functions to run a few campaigns and this did the job for us.

There are two things I really like about Constant Contact - 1. the templates are very easy to modify and save, and 2. it integrates basically seamlessly with our CRM ClearView.
No negative comments about the software, but if they gave some case studies of nonprofits or larger organizations using the program that would be helpful to see.

I LOVE the custom email and easy of updating/freshening it every month. I really don't have design experience and the program is very easy for me to use.
I signed up for the version that included custom design for one email. Six month later, I continue to use this template and just update content and pix every month. I could never have designed the original email by myself so this extra cost was a real value.
Constant Contact has an integration with DonorSnap, which is a donor management CRM tool that our nonprofit uses. While it is another expense, I really couldn't do the kind of emails that will get noticed without this integration.

A client wanted a solution to be able to send emails when people signed up for information. We decided not to use it.
I liked the way they described it and all of the features it has. I liked that it works with Zapier and I could create Zaps to maximize usability.
I didn't like that the emails weren't easily customizable. They did not look like professional emails like ones sent with Mailchimp or Constant Contact.
