Hi Thomas,
We have some good news on segmentation - we've just launched this as a feature so you can now segment your mailing list based on custom fields and the data that's most important to your business.
Let us know how it works for you.
Thanks,
Tom
Pros
- Very low cost: EmailOctopus uses Amazon Simple Mail Service to send emails, for a fraction of the cost of other email platforms - Integrated API: I automate my list building using EmailOctopus full featured API. I can connect EmailOctopus to my workflow - Real-time statistics: watch in real time how your campaigns perform - Outstanding support: I needed support to use the API and got great help from them
Cons
It lacks a list segmentation feature and the list contacts editing could be more user friendly.

Happy with this service for my marketing email campaigns.
We have tried several marketing platforms from Sendgrid to MailChimp but nothing beats EmailOctopus in terms of delivery rate, customer support and the pricing is great!
Pros
It is easy to use and the support is great!
Cons
Also, add the ability for clients to download those who have read the campaigns and automatically engage these clients

It would be nice, however, to be able to pull lists of everyone who had opened/clicked an email without going to each campaign individually.
Pros
It is cheap, easy to use, has surprisingly good looking templates, and not so picky on lists.
Cons
No list segmentation or ability to target subscribers on activity.

I'm able to have total control over the aesthetic of the emails I send, and the dashboard isn't cluttered with marketing features that I'll never use.
Pros
EmailOctopus dispenses with all the tools for marketers that other services offer and focuses on a simple but crucial set of features: straightforward list management, fine-grained control over templating, clear workflow, sensible analytics that don't veer into creepy surveillance territory.
Cons
All that said, there are a couple features that would be nice to have: embedded subscription forms that don't need jQuery, and a CSS inlining tool for building custom templates (many others are available; it would just be nice to have it all in one place).

Simple to get started, integrates with many other applications/platforms, a good competitor to MailChimp.
Pros
Its has many of the same features and functions that the big email campaign platforms have, but at a percentage of the costs.
Cons
I haven't used every feature, but what I have used so far (simple mail lists, campaigns, etc.), I do not see any cons.

It has been easy, affordable, and effective to get our email campaigns going with EmailOctopus.
Pros
List management, simple segmentation, basic email campaigns, and a simple editor that makes it easy to create good looking emails is exactly what we needed.
Cons
For example, you can't include dynamic content based on a field on a subscriber's profile except for the contents of the field itself.

Thanks for your review Brando. You can definitely duplicate campaigns, I've sent instructions on how to do this to your email address.
As for your other feedback, we take it on board and appreciate it. We have a couple of things coming later in the year which may make you very happy, namely a new version of the API and a new editor.
Fair prices, great usability and easy to implement on your own website and within marketing campaigns.
Pros
Great usability and easy to set-up website widgets.
Cons
Not that easy to set-up without a technical person (with Amazon servers etc.)

We have multiple startups and we mainly use EmailOctopus for our email marketing across all startups.
It's a great tool to send emails to a massive group, track emails and program when to send emails.
Pros
* It's very easy to use and has a friendly interface. * The tool is flexible and works great when your goal is to send massive emails. * Configuration is easy if you follow the instructions.
Cons
* Integration with other software solutions is limited. * Mobile integration should be an enhancement to meet all needs.

Pros
I think EmailOctopus is perfect for either the beginner or even the advanced user, since the key indicators included on the platform have already been good enough to help the users to understand the feedback and enact following action. Overall speaking, I will say it's with superb high "COST and PROFIT" value. Besides, customer service is kind to answer your questions with details. Much appreciated it. Also look forward to seeing more and more intuitive functions on the platform.
Cons
It will be great if there are more template to choose while making the campaign. The existing templates have already been good enough, though.

They offer the same great features to help you automate and track your email blast campaigns. Even though they're relatively small by comparison, they're built on top of the Amazon Cloud, so you're guaranteed rock-solid reliability.
Cons
