The software and the team behind it are fast, reliable, and responsive. I work in politics and things need to happen quickly to be impactful, which is why EmailOctopus is my go-to solution when I need to get a message out and get a report back on how well it was received.

I would add more data fields to list importing so I could segment better to one list.

Ease of use, effectiveness, sends emails efficiently and quickly. The ability to choose from templates or create your own is a great feature! Being able to see who has been sent an email, see when they opened it, and if they clicked on any links is such a wonderful feature for our school! Great costumer service as well. This is the first time our company has ever used an email platform software and it has made my job so much more efficient and the communication between our entire membership and school has never been stronger before! On top of that, I finally get to do something in my position that is creative, I love playing around with the templates and adding my special touches, it has helped me bring fun into my job!

I would of loved more flexibility in creating my own templates, some features as far as how the emails look but other than that nothing!

I've been in online marketing since mid 90's and this by far is the easiest, most user friendly and reliable email service.

It’s a relatively simple service that gets you exactly where you want to be — send campaigns, post emails for subscription, etc.

It’s stuck somewhat in a limbo of not the absolute best experience for non-engineers (products like Mailchimp) and also not the best experience for engineers (products like Postmark)

Easy to duplicate old templates and change details, ideal for our weekly events newsletter. Looks sleek and professional on all devices

Some file limits on photos, can be tedious to drag and drop but I think that's more my computer than EmailOctopus.

No fuss pricing, ease of use. Quick to upload and manage lists. I don't want to fiddle around with new software for hours.

Honestly nothing instantly comes to mind, but I'm not a power user. Our current list is only about 700 emails. I just want something simple and fast and EmailOctopus delivers what I need.

We were first attracted to EmailOctopus for the excellent pricing but have stayed for many years because of the reliability and truly excellent service. None of the annoying 'support' from many online companies which consists of stock paragraphs and insincere platitudes from poorly trained staff. EmailOctopus team members reply quickly and accurately to any queries (not that we've needed help often).

Some better multiple list support for searched and sign-ups would be nice but not a deal-breaker.

It has a user-friendly interface that makes it easy to use and manage your campaigns. Its very simple and user friendly.

I haven't experienced a con personally.

The Customer Service is off the charts excellent. My questions were answered completely and quickly.

No. Each feature I've used has been excellent.

It was easy to get set up. The API documentation has examples that were easy to adapt, and the API has met my needs. There's a webhook that publishes events to notify me programmatically. Customer support has been excellent. The pricing is very fair.

Honestly no cons for my use case, I'm very happy.

EmailOctopus is a lean, clean alternative to more bloated services. We use it to manager our newsletter, and it's been very easy to pop into any of our websites, landing pages, and kickstarter campaigns.

None, really. There's a tiny bit of a learning curve, as the names of different functions aren't super clear to start with, but ultimately there aren't a lot of bloated features on the website to distract you, so it just takes a little time to learn the interface.

The number 1 key of this software is their unique ability to plug into your Amazon Email Platform account. This allows you to send out MANY MANY more emails on a daily basis than any other platform I have come across. Not to mention the ease of ability to upload the lists from wherever you have built them before.

The biggest difficulty is that there are not comprehensive statistics set up in the back office to individually see what emails are opening and reading your emails. Or the ones that are clicking. That is a step down from where I was before.

Its easy to use and a lot of options are available for customization.

Just that the pricing is linked to the contacts that we store. We may not send emails to all our contacts on a regular basis, but still we end up paying for all contacts.

The product is very easy to use and was very simple to set up. I like how sending and managing campaigns is a straightforward process and how click through rate is measured.

It isn’t as easy to copy and paste html code to use for your email as I thought it would be. There is some reformatting that occurs that makes this feature not as useful as possible.

Email Octopus is easy to get started and has useful DIY options for theming.

It took a little extra time to figure out what the required tags were when using a custom theme.

The absolute ease and simplicity of Email Octopus is a winner for me. I have trialled various other platforms for email campaigns and they do not compare to Email Octopus. For me, it's all about not feeling overwhelmed and confused with all the features, with things looking simple but effective. Email Octopus has the right balance of it all - making it super easy for a not-so-tech person to navigate. I am very impressed with everything I have come across on the platform PLUS the version I need for my micro business makes it free, a perfect place for me to start while I grow my business!

Although I love the simplicity of Email Octopus, I feel the emails lack looking fun and creative, which is what my business is all about fundamentally. If it could include elements of design that would be AMAZING! But overall, this is not a massive deal for me as I have a very tiny email list currently so it is all about being affordable while I grow.

I would love to see the ability to re-send to subscribers who didn't open.

Free edition has so much going for it. It's easy to use and helps me cut down on wasted time by scheduling campaigns. Love how you can also edit each template to fit you business theme. Bonus, you get 2500 subscribers free until you have to start paying. Best newsletter for small business starting out.

Wish I could edit the mobile preview on the template without changing the entire campaign.

Easy to use drag-and-drop editor, thats quite light weight, and not clunky at all. We were looking for a fairly basic email marketing software, and this delivers!

Can't schedule emails according to timezones.
