Pros

Encourages cross-team communications. Great support from the vendor, and strong community of users and third-party integrators.
Was quite easy to understand for novice and navigate around and had easy to use and useful automated marketing features that made reaching a large audience seamlessly easy.
We use salesforce daily to engage with customers on a daily basis. It has been very helpful in managing customer journeys, sending and preparing emails, and getting good reporting.

Pros

Its a very helpful tool. I use when when I work from home and I love when I have all my documents on my MacBook from dropbox- without copying them; they just are there, love it.
Love the different type of software it has to offer such as storage or the quality of being able to save.
Very user friendly interface sync is very reliable good retention features. Lan sync and smart sync features are great.

Cons

The price, the user experience, the lack of multibrand use. When I threatened to take my business elsewhere we had one call with the VP but then he stopped responding to calls and emails.
It felt like they were just as fed up with this crap tool as we are. Although they didn't say it, I think one of our key employees quit over the frustration of dealing with marketing cloud.
Not all pending sends will list themselves under "Pending Sends," so that has caused some issues with accidentally sending the same email to the same list more than once.

Cons

The group and user policy is alittle bit weird to understand and alittle bit confusing. I had to redo the whole access policy twice because it was not working as i wanted.
To have the file uploaded in the background with limited speeds irrespective of the download or upload speed is something that has irritated me.
It has some integration that sometimes provides warnings through Excel, but other file types are completely at risk of having conflicting copies.

I like how easy it is to build out emails in Salesforce Marketing Cloud. The drag and drop feature allow me to easily add new layouts to my email build. I like that each content block can be edited individually so if mistakes are made, it doesn't affect your entire email.

Cons

My company has several business units that we work in, and sharing creative assets among those multiple business units has been a pain.

Salesforce could be the market leader but they have to constantly thrive to win new businesses and treat them all as same to be there for a prolonged period of time.

Pros

The consultants were quick to establish the business objective and provided alternates to tackle the business and process bottlenecks

Cons

They were not showing up an inclination to close the deal and win the business, the overall lead time was way too long than the competitors in the market

Pros

Pretty easy in terms of configuration and can handle complex business rules. It is quite a flexible software for business needs.

Cons

It is cumbersome for the support resources to get started. Hence the learning curve is quite steep and the same way for the support team. But once they are accustomed to the changes it is quite a flexible software for your needs.

Really recommend this product to any business owners . It’s a very helpful tool in doing business well!

Pros

I use this software everyday for my job as an enrollment counselor. It allows us to do our entire job through this application ( enrollment , document uploads , sms messaging to students )

Cons

It is very complex at times . However I don’t mind , it’s been very helpful in doing my daily job

Complex journey builder helps in creating unique business use cases. Would love it to be more in sync with salesforce instantly like marketo does via a simple drag and drop feature.

Static. Is not instantly synced with Salesforce via a drag and drop feature. Data Extensions need to be created every time.

We have a Roofing company and it really suits our business model and increases our productivity. We have all the info we need in sales to manage our clients, and there are so many other aspects to the software we can roll out over time. The Trail head training is great.

Cons

There is so much functionality, some more basis set up examples would have been helpful, but we were able to find everything we needed

Disappointing. Don't waste your money, there are better tools out there.

This product poses itself as top of class, but that's only in pricing. It is complicated and not marketing friendly. The interface is not userfriendly and the tool does not support multiple brands without a heavy pricetag.

Easy email marketing and list/preference center management.

Pros

Once users get up to speed, it's a very easy UI to master and accomplish email marketing tasks quickly. Good list management and customizability, along with reporting.

Cons

The UI is quite outdated, and the workflows are very intuitive -easy to get up to speed on, but it does require an "expert" on the team to help you onboard to how the business uses the software, as it's pretty free-form.

Pros

I love that Salesforce can cover so many different facets all tailored to just about any business. For example, if your business does not have or intend to have a social presence, then you will not need the social media access for social listening, etc. I was impressed to learn how to map out journeys of ideal customers then setup analytics on behaviors and actions to track the progress.

Cons

Truly nothing. I wish I could have used every single feature but I was only able to experience parts based on what my client used. During a long engagement, I was able to help my client set up automated email marketing campaigns then track the progress along a defined journey to generate leads. Great interface. Sorry, this asked what I liked least and I lost track.

Pros

You can hire a consulting company to change Salesforce to fit your business needs if you don't have the time or knowledge to do so (we hired Cloud Creations on the referral from our sales manager). The community is so large and expansive that you could easily find a fix to any sort of business problem you are having. We really needed a platform that integrated with our home grown system and made sure that all of our departments were talking to one another. We chose Salesforce because of its ability to be shaped and molded based on our business model. And you can adapt as your company grows-change things, add things, do whatever you want!

Cons

It did take some months to get our version of Salesforce to be where we wanted it, but for other companies that had more IT resources or time to devote to it would probably not take as long. Make sure you have a project manager or person dedicated to its success and implementation internally or it might not get adopted within your company.

Pros

Salesforce has released a new interface that makes their system better than it ever was. There is so many options in this software that will help automate your business processes.

Cons

I have always found the reports a little confusing. They are extremely robust but take a little while to get used to the learning curve.

Pros

It's a great CRM tool that helps you manage your client tickets. Very feature rich as well and has the ability to be really flexible on most types of business setup.

Cons

Being feature rich has some downsides and one of that is having all those features available in your UI which makes it confusing at times.

Dropbox for Business is not a bad alternative

Since the company is hired by HP to do its marketing we have 2 locations and we have to do a lot of file sharing with the various marketing groups. Information on certain hardware information and customers we deal with. Being cloud based feature it was easy to access.

Pros

What I was surprised was the ease of use I thought it might be difficult . Was able to share large files and it can also be cloud based which helped as we have 2 locations.

Cons

The main issue was cost which can be pricey. We also had some concerns on security which these days most people do.

This is the easiest way to share documents with a work team. I use mine for new reps, when training them and accessing files necessary for them to do their job.

Pros

it's easy for my reps to use, everyone uses dropbox and they are already familiar with it. It's very easy to share documents, and to mark up as well.
