Pros

Encourages cross-team communications. Great support from the vendor, and strong community of users and third-party integrators.
Was quite easy to understand for novice and navigate around and had easy to use and useful automated marketing features that made reaching a large audience seamlessly easy.
We use salesforce daily to engage with customers on a daily basis. It has been very helpful in managing customer journeys, sending and preparing emails, and getting good reporting.

Pros

A good amount of details and marketing capabilities. HubSpot has some of the best integrations I have seen with other platforms.
HubSpot helps track, monitor and create the best content for growing my business. I have seen great strides from using this company.
Lots of cool features that are quite easy to use. Great academy to learn how to take good advantage of all the features.

Cons

The price, the user experience, the lack of multibrand use. When I threatened to take my business elsewhere we had one call with the VP but then he stopped responding to calls and emails.
It felt like they were just as fed up with this crap tool as we are. Although they didn't say it, I think one of our key employees quit over the frustration of dealing with marketing cloud.
Not all pending sends will list themselves under "Pending Sends," so that has caused some issues with accidentally sending the same email to the same list more than once.

Cons

I am disappointed with the number of panel limits you can have with the contracted plan. The other disadvantage is that UX can be tricky at times.
Any interactions with any person who works at HubSpot. Arrogant, rude, condescending, lacking any understanding of business rules.
It's frankly disgusting that this company relies on such draconian measures as a source of revenue.

MC is by far the best marketing automation tool to date, however it is not perfect. I wish Salesforce could offer customer support service as good as HubSpot, then it will truly beat all the competitors.

I would recommend any company seeking a marketing solution check this one out and consider not only where the company is now with marketing, but where their company would like to be in the next year and 5-10 years and base decisions on that. Upfront costs for these lesser solutions may be appealing at first, but it doesn't take long to realize the short comings of such applications and that the money could have been spent more wisely on something as polished and robust as the Salesforce Marketing Cloud solution.

Pros

Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a very robust marketing system that solves all manner of marketing needs from the simple mailings to complex customer journeys and marketing campaigns.

Cons

The biggest negative I have with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is the price. Companies often feel their marketing needs are not to the level that this application can provide and struggle to justify the cost. Unfortunately, this causes companies to go with a lesser solution because upfront costs appear to be less, even though in the long run they end up costing more.

To segment the data, Working knowledge of SQL is required. Integration of GTM and API's is heavily reliant on tech team.

Saleforce Marketing Cloud is a marketing automation leader in the market. One best thing about salesforce marketing cloud is that it has all features of automating all your marketing campaigns for Email, SMS, Direct mail and push notification.

Pros

My overall experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is really great, because it is user friendly and easy to use marketing automation platform available in the market and with the help of it I am able to create Email campaigns, SMS campaigns, Direct mail campaigns and push notification campaigns. We also have purchased its Email studio, SMS studio and Push studio license.

We were working with a vendor to implement Marketing Cloud. That didn't go so well so now we are starting from the ground up. Marketing Cloud is very robust in terms of functionality and offers a lot of features, there is lots to learn but after you get past that hurdle you can see the benefits of using Marketing Cloud. Backend functionality could be improved a bit to be on par with Sales Cloud but I'm sure that's to come in future releases (ie permission updates)

Pros

It's great to automate email schedules and have dynamic templates to really customize the user experience.

Cons

It can be very overwhelming at first learning Marketing Cloud as a whole.

Positive. Salesforce Marketing Cloud is and will be the cornerstone of our marketing plans going forward.

Pros

Data extensions and their flexibility. Do you want to create a list of subscribers from a landing page? Want to upload an email list from an external source? Want to create a catalog of your ecommerce products and call those in on a Cloudpage? Data extensions solve it all.

Cons

Layout clarity and user experience. It has gotten better, but integral functionality is still hidden in different buckets so that it's hard to find from the SFMC homepage.

It is pricey when compared to others in the market. Updates are annoying for users that come every fortnight. UI could have been improved.

What do I like most about this software? EVERYTHING! The platform allows you to manage multiple things in an organized and clear manner. Highly recommended for developing marketing plans, achieving marketing goals, and managing teams.

Cons

It will require some sort of training, whether through your company or from training courses online to fully understand how everything works. It’s possible to learn on your own, however you will definitely catch useful things in a training course.

You can send emails, SMSs, Mobile Push notifications as Super messages.... End to End Automation with Automation studio and Journey Builder It's better than using 3 x 5 index cards User friendly and super easy to learn new options/reports.

Cons

Costly Time-intensive Little training unless purchased separately. It can be very overwhelming at first learning Marketing Cloud as a whole. Back-end can be complex; expensive for small scale businesses; can be time-consuming to learn to use

Pros

the use of drip campaigns and lead nurturing makes this software valuable. adding new leads at various stages of the sales process is something we do on a frequent basis.

Cons

the learning curve is a little longer than a few other softwares i have used for sales or marketing purposes.

Utilitarian but outdated UI

Easy email marketing and list/preference center management.

Pros

Once users get up to speed, it's a very easy UI to master and accomplish email marketing tasks quickly. Good list management and customizability, along with reporting.

Cons

The UI is quite outdated, and the workflows are very intuitive -easy to get up to speed on, but it does require an "expert" on the team to help you onboard to how the business uses the software, as it's pretty free-form.

Incredible tool, make sure you have an infrastructure

An incredible tool when an infrastructure is in place that will allow for collaboration between marketing and sales as well as support in place for the sales team so they don’t get bogged down with the administrative component. If you are a Manager then you will love these reports.

Pros

As a provider of digital marketing automation (email, social, ads) and analytics, is great when it comes to connecting the dots between what you know about customers and what marketing materials you should send to them. The Journey Building feature is incredible for this. This also allows you to set triggers and make intelligent automation decisions.

Cons

Make sure you have an infrastructure in place that will allow for the immense amount of data entry and data maintenance necessary to keep the CRM up-to-date and allow intelligent marketing insights and automation to even be possible. You don’t want to make marketing decisions based on an accurate CRM information.

An Okay Email Marketing Platform

Pros

Salesforce Marketing Cloud does its job in email marketing, it helps you to plan, design, and send out email campaigns, as well as tracking the campaign performance and analytics for improvement purpose.

Cons

The list importing is a bit old fashioned, it takes a lot of time to import a recipient list every time, and you also need to click many times, which I think is not very intuitive and a bit annoying.

Loved working in Hubspot because of it's intuitive layout and features.

Pros

Hubspot is an incredibly easy tool to work with. I really enjoyed the ease of use in building campaigns out and the functionalities of being able to send out to different time zones at different times with A/B subjects and preheaders.

Cons

The software leaves some room for better design functionality. The only con I experience was the difficulty in pushing out more polished designed eBlasts like the ones we now send through Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

This is an awesome tool to use integrated with Salesforce. The build on each other. We mostly use it in a marketing setting to help track email campaigns.

Pros

It integrates with Salesforce. Tracks Marketing Campaigns Success.

Cons

Not as capable as other software out there for CMRs.

Pros

This product was very easy to use and served the purpose of lead generation.

Cons

I found that this software had less power behind it than Salesforce. I have used Salesforce and HubSpot and enjoyed Salesforce more. The display functionality and feel was much better with Salesforce, but understand that HubSpot was geared more towards marketing than lead tracking.

Pros

This far outperformed our old marketing tool, and its integration with Salesforce makes our lives much easier.

Cons

The formatting when creating emails can sometimes be a headache. Email formats won't always be exactly how we had them in hubspot, and something can frustratingly not be fixed (like fonts appearing slightly different colors, line spacing, etc.)

Easy, powerful marketing automation

HubSpot's primary tools are easy to learn and get started with an Inbound marketing strategy and cover everything from content strategy and social media to marketing automation, lead nurturing and reporting tools. The automation and workflow tools allow for surprisingly complex logic despite the easy to use interface. There are some limitations, but HubSpot seems to continue innovating and releasing valueable features. There are many native integrations to external systems (e.g., salesforce CRM) that are easy to configure as well, which is great for more complex reporting or downstream sales processes, to drive a full-funnel customer acquisition approach.

Pros

Easy to learn and yet powerful tools. Optimized for driving effective inbound marketing strategies. Easy to integrate with salesforce.
