The software itself is easy to use, and the help from the iContact Strategic Advisor each month is really helping us maximize our campaigns. There are many included features.
The only thing I dislike about iContact is the inability to edit a campaign that has already been scheduled. (You need to un-schedule the campaign, edit, and then re-schedule, which means duplicating some actions.)

We can quickly and efficiently launch email campaigns with the software.
The software is so easy to use with little to no training. The features and functions are logically placed on the dashboard and each screen walks you through the next step so you can have your email campaign up and running in no time.
There are really no analytics available to gain more insight into campaign performance and audience engagement.

Ease of use. The platform makes for easy sends, analytics and management of account. I like the ability to see all your sends and analytics on one page.
No automatic triggers to notify you if you have gone over your credit allotment. You need to monitor and manage your sends on your own.

With iContact, we conduct outbound marketing to prospects, manage drip marketing campaigns, communicate with our existing customers about operational issues, and more. Once fully set up, it's all you really need to create and manage branded sales/marketing/communication plans all in one place.
I love how easy it is to create and organize campaigns. I've worked with several other platforms, and iContact does a great job of balancing simplicity of use with powerful features. While there are plenty of great email templates, their WYSIWYG editor allows anyone to create beautiful messaging in line with their brand.
Campaign reporting leaves a lot to be desired, and syncing with Salesforce has not been as quick/easy as I expected.

Compared to competitors, it has less features available. Customer service was not reactive when we had an issue with optimizing our campaign

It's easy to use! iContact eliminates duplicate recipients. I love the tracking system on my email campaigns.
I understand changes and updates are necessary but for every change iContact makes - it slows me down in my marketing campaign composing.

We use this platform for all of it's available content... emails, social posting and campaign utilization. It's been great!
Campaigns can be difficult to build and embed in websites, but once you figure it out steps can be easily followed.

Love the new designs - very fresh and modern looks, and even suggestions to create a great email campaign (with higher open rates)
I wish there were more drop & go functions -- but maybe I need to schedule a lesson to show me the new functions.

I like that it does make e-mailing mass lists easy, you can do A/B testing or whatnot, and customize a campaign.
I wish there was more flexibility in the design side. It felt very rigid with everything, and limited mobility.

We are able to automate our email campaign based on user actions and engagement. This frees up our sales team to sell and not be bogged down by sending emails.
The workflows are a very powerful way to automate your marketing. No other service provider can match iContact's workflows for ease of use and functionality.
I have no complaints about iContact. The service works very well and the customer support is better than what I received from Constant Contact.

I have been user of iContact Email marketing software used to send my daily newsletters. The speed of delivery and inbox rate is good here but we should take care of out list. If our list contains hards, spammers there is a chance of blocking our account. Customer support is way good comparing with others in the market.
As an email marketer the Quality of iContact Email Marketing software is awesome. No need to worry about inbox rate unless our list is bad. Inbox rate and delivery of campaign is good.
Pricing is least thing i don't like here. There are good alternatives available for lower price if we consider low cost softwares.

I like that it is "plug and play" and idiot-proof. I like the fact that you can customise it better and also that you can share on social media.
There are some glitches in the social media platform and a few campaign adjustments that you need to go back to the team to make but that goes to the safety and security of the features.

iContact wasn't the best email campaign manager when I fist started using it several years ago, but it has since developed into a great program that is equal to its competitors in every feature that I utilize.
The new templates are super easy to use and make for very easy team collaboration, even when members of a team are very inexperienced with iContact.
iContact doesn't have the name recognition that Constant Contact has or even Wordpress to some extent. Thus, I do run into problems trying to convince others that iContact works just as well (and in some cases, better) than those others.

We receive one free template creation.
We used to use Constant Contact but with iContact, we can add segment and work flow. to each campaign. We can target audience which has resulted in better open rate. Also, iContact can develop one customized template per month.
They do not have survey feature at this point so we have to subscribe another service for that matter.

The feature that helps us the most is the campaign generator. You can create a list of emails that are sent to a specified audience. Whenever that audience needs to be updated, just drop them in and it generates. It's great.
Honestly, I don't really like any of the email templates. I think they're all kind of corny-looking. The only template I liked to use was the "create-your-own" and they've unfortunately taken that away.

My experience with iContact was good and was the first email marketing software I ever used. It was very easy and quick to get started and set up an email campaign. I was also able to create themed templates for other to use to create email communications.
iContact is easy to use, even for those who may not be very tech savvy.
The features may be a little limited compared to Mail Chimp. Mail chimp also offers more third party integrations.

Lots of templates, easy to use, and very easy to train users on emails/lists/template management. I've used it in three organizations and highly recommend it for small businesses.
I'd like an add-on for basic marketing automation -- e.g. if an email is not opened after 5 days, set up a campaign to send a follow-up v if an email is opened and the transaction isn't completed, send a separate follow-up message.

We send email marketing campaigns for multiple clients, I feel good and confident while using it
Í’ve been using icontact for a lot of time, maybe more than 10 years, so I know how that platform has evolved over the time, current features are great, you can even make landing pages in there, I love features like a/b testing and marketing automation
Sometimes, icontact blocks you when you upload new databases, I know they want to keep a good reputation and make sure users are not sending spam, but from a user side, sometimes it is really hard to wait for icontact validation before sending a campaign

It's cheap, neat, it's easy to use and gets the job done! When we used we could create a large and high-quality database of clients. We could also manage a lot of email marketing campaign with a large number of people with personalized content, and the ROI was huge.
It's really cheap, easy to use and it works with no problems at all. We had it for almost 3 years and never experienced an error, bug or anything else that could have resulted in a bad case scenario for us. Also, the customer support team is really kind and considerate.
It doesn't have too much space for customization, and the templates are kinda plain. Also, the new interface was really delayed in comparison to its competition that already had drag an drop customization and a large number of quality templates. It also lacks quality analytics reports (it's really basic) and it's short of integrations with some CRMs.

An ideal email marketing software that lets you create newsletters easily with its easy to use application. Manage your contacts by creating lists with contacts that match your campaign. What i like about icontact is that aside from uploading or grag and drop option for adding contacts is that it has a sign up form feature thatyou can embed in your website. When a customer signs up the information goes straight to your contact list. Create your email content easily with its content creator tool with thousands of themes or designs to choose from. Add links, images and texts to the content with its drag and drop tool feature and create designs that match your campaign perfectly.
The csv file should be compatible to add contacts. It is easier to add one by one or download their file and add your contacts for an easier upload. If you have existing excel files with thousands of contacts, it may not work. Fixing your contacts file might take longer especially if you have thousands of subscribers.

Love it. It's easy to use and the reporting options make my post-campaign job easy. In past jobs I've used Mailchimp and Constant Contact, however iContact is much better in my opinion. There are less restrictions on designing the email while still having an easy to use WYSIWYG with drag and drop functionality.
The reporting. When I need to throw stats on Power Point I just take a screen shot of the results page. It also has the ability to compare the results of multiple messages with just a couple clicks. Everything is well formatted, graphical and very informative.
Can get cluttered if you are sending a bunch of emails. We send emails on behalf of dozens of clients, often the same subject line. I'd love a way to better organize our drafts and our sent messages.

Our whole email marketing campaign has benefited from this causing our company to succeed. Complaints have gone done and our open rates have gone up. iContact provides great advice whether you're just starting out in e-marketing or have been doing this a long time. We're able to fine tune our emails and get valuable insight from them.
The ease of use and the amount of help/advice they're able to provide. The customer service is fantastic. With the help of our strategic advisor, we've have great success in e-marketing: lowering our compliant rate, raising our open rates, and putting out a good product that keeps people engaged! And we don't get blocked by major email service providers because our compliant rate is low. The software is easy to use and has great customization from creating your own email and lists to scheduling emails in advanced. There's also the option to integrate via their API and automatically upload leads in real time which is a great feature.
The new iContact dashboard is very nice and responsive but since it is new, you can find some bugs in the system. I'm sure this will get resolved soon so this isn't a big issue. We're always able to send our emails so that's the most important thing.

I have been working with the iContact Premier Services team to build a suppression list and implement a reengagement campaign. This is helping our emails reach the inboxes of customers and prospects that had stopped receiving our emails. The Premier Services team has been great to work with and have been so helpful with building and executing strategy.
The new email editor is a big improvement but still feels a bit clunky. I also wish there was an easier way to manage bounces - figure out why contacts are bouncing and resolve the problem.

I switched Trade Ideas from iContact to Campaign Monitor in Q3 2014 and haven't looked back. The interface is not only modern, but extremely efficient – example: conducting several types of A/B tests with any send is right in the sending workflow and not a complicated process.
The customer service and support are very quick to respond with a helpful solution. The templating and editing interface is powerful and purposefully limited, making for very fast creation of great looking, responsive emails. We can import our own templates when needed, however I haven't bothered doing so yet. The A/B testing and email send reporting is excellent and intuitive. Campaign Monitor has added additional automation features just in the short time I've been with them, increasing their value to me as an ESP.
Not much, really. Some additional automation features and more advanced segmentation/list splitting would be about all I'd ask for so far.
