So, my client was trying to decide between iContact, Mailchimp and other SMB email tools and decided to start the project with iContact -iContact has a really user-friendly interface that's easy to navigate, even for people who aren't super tech-savvy.-They offer decent customer support, and we were able to get in touch with a real human whenever we needed help or had questions (we've put them to the test) -The reporting and analytics features are really robust, and it was easy to track our email campaigns and see how they were performing.The pricing was pretty parred with other SMB email tools so we felt like we were getting good value for our money.
1)While the interface is user-friendly, there are some limitations when it comes to design customization2) We weren't able to make our emails look quite as polished as we might have liked.3) It can take a little while to get used to the platform if you're used to more visual ones 4) if you're after a marketing automation syle hubspot , iContact won't offer that level of sophistication

Learnt a lot about e-mail marketing by using the software. The software performed well considering that e-mail marketing is not as popular as social media marketing.
The ability to check clicks and opens against contacts in the reports. Attachments are accommodated. There is a template designer. iContact also provides support and consultancy calls.
You are unable to share a live report. No geolocation. It is difficult to match contacts with lists as well as no telephone numbers for follow up in the open and clicks report. The pros far outweigh the cons.

We will certainly take this into consideration as we continue to improve our product. In the meantime our recommendation is to save these contacts as a segment directly from the reporting page. You can then export the segment containing the phone numbers and all other available information. Hopefully this helps speed up your process!

The customer service is the best part of iContact. When you call, you talk to a real person. My customer service representative always knows the answers to my questions and on the rare occasion that she doesn't, she gets back to me very quickly with an answer.
When you upload a list into iContact and there are contacts who have unsubscribed or been listed as do not contact, you cannot tell who on that list won't receive the email.

It's great for simple sends, simple analytics but horrible for more complex stuff.
Basic capabilities are decent. Anything beyond that is a pain to figure out/manipulate.
Not up to current email marketing standards; not user friendly at all; too expensive for what it does.

Quick easy and fun email marketing
Email builder is easy to use, lists are easy to set up, autoresponders and welcome messages are easy to set up. Really like the design
Social Media list building could be better, sometimes the messages are sent to spam boxes so that is kind of annoying, but majority of subscribers do end up with messages and the emails look so nice that our unsubscribe numbers are much lower than other email marketing sites we've used

Really good, great support, easy to understand responses from support team. The marketing emails are working with our customer base. Like the information provided via email to assist with ideas, and any contact i have had via phone hook up or webinar has been informative and useful.

We have had multiple digital marketing members manage the system and each member was able to pick right up and blast out our marketing related content.
Easy to gather and store contact lists for various groups, allowing you to target specific markets/consumer groups.
There isn't much about the software that my team found unappealing, we have generally had pleasant experiences overall.

With iContact, we conduct outbound marketing to prospects, manage drip marketing campaigns, communicate with our existing customers about operational issues, and more. Once fully set up, it's all you really need to create and manage branded sales/marketing/communication plans all in one place.
I love how easy it is to create and organize campaigns. I've worked with several other platforms, and iContact does a great job of balancing simplicity of use with powerful features. While there are plenty of great email templates, their WYSIWYG editor allows anyone to create beautiful messaging in line with their brand.
Campaign reporting leaves a lot to be desired, and syncing with Salesforce has not been as quick/easy as I expected.

When I need to use it, it's a breeze to do. I don't use it enough but it's worth the money when I do.
I forget to use it and could use a reminder and help. If a customer service rep would reach out once a month, I would use the system monthly.

It was my first email marketing software, so I learned about it. Now that I have my own marketing company, I know not to use it.
Our emails were professional-looking. I liked being able to do the email marketing for more than one company, and everything was kept separately.
Their customer service was nonexistent. It was faster for me to either ignore the issue or find my own solution before they would respond, sometimes days later. The number of templates are few. You can only schedule to a couple of social media platforms, you have to schedule them separately, and they still adhere to the old Twitter character limit. We paid more to get more, and our "dedicated account rep" would only speak to us once a month for exactly 30 minutes. Not worth the money. We switched companies and paid less, and their customer service department contacts me once a week, just to check in. Our deliverability is higher, too. Customers that had a "bad mailbox" according to iContact are calling us, delighted to get our emails again.

This product made it far easier to implement email marketing for a client who had never used email marketing in the past. They were skeptical of the benefits, but iContact made it easy for them to understand what email marketing can do for their company.
iContact is easy to use, very intuitive and user-friendly. Where other email marketing programs fall short, iContact excels. From staff support to constant improvements to their platform to keep ahead of marketing trends, they've got the total package!
I've not run into any negatives - iContact has an awesome product, a great team and some of the best user features out there.

When it comes to email marketing, which is where we see the most success for our company, I trust iContact. Once you get the idea of it, using it is a breeze, and if you need any assistance, the service's customer support is second to none. The email creator is easy to use and the l admin features are unrivaled. The greatest benefit we've seen from using iContact is the assistance we've received from their support staff and I will continue to reach out to the team for advice on refining our marketing strategies.

Easy to email customers with a small marketing team.
Easy to move items around, Easy to drag and drop, easy to create an email and modify it for multiple senders. Also easy to use templates as a starting point. Love that they optimize automatically for mobile
Sometimes have funky font issues, but if you test it's easily fixable. Lists can get cumbersome too if you don't build it right from the start.

Emails being treated as spam based on the IP address needs improvement, but that is the same for most email marketing services.

It's easy to use! iContact eliminates duplicate recipients. I love the tracking system on my email campaigns.
I understand changes and updates are necessary but for every change iContact makes - it slows me down in my marketing campaign composing.

iContact has simplified our email marketing without sacrificing impact and effectiveness.
The templates are easy to revise and the interface is very user friendly. With iContact I can create emails that are captivating and compact enough to look great on a computer or phone.
The file size limit for graphics can be a hiccup, but it's easily surmounted by saving graphics as web files in photoshop
