Mailchimp- Cost effective and very function

2019-03-01

We utilized mailchimp with a list of over 400,000 customers and prospects. We drove strong sales and did not have any can-spam issues.

Pros

Easy to use. Easy to resend campaigns. Basic list management with star rating for individual recipients based on their open and response rate. Excellent delivery.

Cons

The program covers all the basics, but doesn't include the behavorial segmenting functions of Oracle Responsys or Bronto.

I love Mailchimp but it has it's limits

2018-12-18

I have used mailchimp with multiple companies and it gets the job done. It will integrate with most software and websites which is very helpful. If you are price concious it is the best but if you really want to make money with an eccommerce site I would go with something that has more features.

Pros

Mailchimp is a great email marketing software that integrates with pretty much everything and makes creating and sending emails a breeze. If you are price conscious, then I suggest Mailchimp.

Cons

Klaviyo or Bronto allow you to do a lot more with segmentation, A/B testing and automation.

Best Email Software for Small or Mid-Sized Companies

2018-10-26

Creating easy layouts that can be duplicated for daily sends. Great to build a list out, but then you reach a glass ceiling.

Pros

Easy to set-up and get going for those new to email marketing. They have preset templates to use that are easy to manipulate. You can see detailed analytics of how your campaign went. List segmenting is also a breeze. Integrates into a variety of other software and even has an easy app to take email sign-ups to events.

Cons

Once your company reaches a certain size, you may need to upgrade to a more complex and dynamic software such as Bronto or HubSpot.

Easy to use!

2018-07-25

Making simple but well designed emails to customers fast because the program was so easy to use!

Pros

No coding is necessary unlike Bronto (the second email platform I used) Where it was more difficult to make the email how I want it to look visually.

Cons

When I had used this in the past there was nothing that I didn't like about the software, this might be because I was using it to make basic newsletters weekly. I didn't need a lot of flexibility or advanced features.

Once I got used to using the software, I have found that it is extremely powerful and functional.

2018-08-01

Very custom designed emails, learned more about segmenting and analytics of emails, learned more about coding for email

Pros

I use MailChimp for some other clients and I find it to be very frustrating and limiting in comparison.

Cons

I think that it isn't the MOST user friendly platform -- it took me a while to get used to using it. Sometimes it is hard to find exactly what you are looking for.
