Pros

This software is great for social media, has advanced features with it and allows you to have a free trial with it. The email campaign is very straight forward and easy to use.

KK

Kari K.

Mailchimp is the best, I have learned about their features, and they are perfect especially for a beginning business or business with a small following. They make it really easy for you to use.

HL

Heather L.

The greatest benefit to using this program is the integration possibilities. It is compatible with a lot of the other software/programs we use so integration was seamless and saved time & money.

KO

Karen O.

Pros

The data reporting on opens/clicks/etc. Is incredibly helpful to track which emails gain a good response and which time of the week works best to send to our audiences.

CG

Cydnie G.

Whenever I have a question, the techs are so helpful and can direct me to exactly what I need. I also love that it can be integrated with Donor Perfect.

AD

Ashley D.

The software is easy to learn, use, and the templates for the emails are nice yet simple to customize. The feedback about open rates is good and it's easy to setup follow-up campaigns.

Jeff E.

Cons

I have had instances where the emails sometimes end up in the spam folder or promotions folder, which can be annoying and needs to be figured out.

RI

RABEE I.

For a company that's been around as long as Mailchimp has, it's crazy to me how bad the UX/UI is. It's just hard to use so much of the time.

NW

Nathan W.

Very confusing, very difficult to figure out where to click , also when you input a wrong email address it blocks your whole process of sending emails to others.

MS

Mary S.

Cons

Very disappointing, frustrating, and countless email cammpaigns have been wasted due to Constant Contacts software rearranging and distoring the format of the original created email.

DS

Danielle S.

Given the circumstances of the pandemic and not using the services to even log in during the last year, that was inconsiderate and unacceptable.

DS

Dawn S.

I was disappointed when the dropped the event portion of their program and integrated with Eventbrite.

Mailchimp

Creative marketing tool but costly if not utilized frequently

Reviewed 2 years ago

Great program, much easier to use than other similar platforms (e.g. Constant Contact).

Pros

Excellent platform to be able to quickly send out mass emails to a broad audience. Definitely user friendly and end products look very professional.

Cons

If you don't pay attention to how many contacts you have stored in the program and don't use it frequently, you end up being charged a rather high monthly fee. If you use it frequently, it's worth it. Otherwise, make sure you switch to buying credits that can be used at your discretion instead of the monthly fee.

MailChimp Review

Reviewed 3 months ago

I've used both Constant Contact and MailChimp and they're both pretty similar. I like MailChimp but would be inclined to go with Constant Contact simply because the latter has a phone number right on the top of their website.

Pros

MailChimp is really easy to use in terms of email marketing. Formatting and layout design is straightforward.

Cons

Managing contacts isn't as simple as I'd like. They have sort/filter features but they're not ideal. It's also hard to find a customer service phone number (I'm not even sure if they have one).

Mailchimp

Easier to use than many other CRM software options

Reviewed 2 years ago

MailChimp is easier to use than other CRM software like Vertical Response and Constant Contact.

Pros

MailChimp is fairly simple to set up and use, and comes with automatically created email list segments that are useful at targeting audiences. Creating new target audiences is also fairly easy, as is composing attractive and engaging emails with image and video content.

Cons

It's best if one works within Mailchimp's templates. More complex templates can be created using the software, but that requires more technical expertise.

Mailchimp

The preferred method of mass email distribution.

Reviewed a year ago

Very positive. The product is very effective and well supported.

Pros

Mailchimp sets the standard for mass email campaigns. It is the primary resource for all email marketing.

Cons

Cost structure could be better. It is pricey when compared to Sendgrid, Constant Contact or other competitors.

Excellent marketing software

Reviewed 9 months ago

I found the analytics better than anything else I had used, and would recommend.

Pros

We needed an a marketing software to use across departments. This was easy to add and delete contacts, as well as track opens, and clicks.

Cons

It was more difficult to design emails than constant contact (which much of the office was more familiar).

Inuitive and Robust: Mailchimp makes it easy to create campaigns that deliver

Reviewed 2 years ago

I've used Mailchimp for about 12 years. I've also used Constant Contact and Emma. I liked that Emma gave me a live account rep. I liked that Constant Contact had a trustworthy legacy feel. But Mailchimp feels like home. It's a perfect combination of a boutique platform like Emma + a legacy system like Constant Contact. They have a stellar free-level package (up to 2,000 addresses) that makes them a no-brainer go-to for any small or start-up company.

Pros

Mailchimp has easy and intuitive drag-and-drop campaign building blocks that make it easy to create professional emails and campaign landing pages. It's easy to connect Mailchimp to your online store to embed products, customize campaigns to folks who've opted in to lists or purchased particular products at your online store, and you can automate complete email/landing page chains. What you're able...

Cons

Any gripe I might have with Mailchimp is the same gripe I would have with any email platform. I would like their email and landing page-building software (or web-building software) to be as intuitive as Squarespace, which is honestly a whole other level of drag-and-drop, so perhaps a pipe dream. Over the years, I also haven't felt like I had a good support option. Their help page goes to the Mailchimp...

Great - strong offering, but can get spendy

Reviewed 2 years ago

Mixed bag. It's great for some things and then for others we prefer other platforms. Klaviyo > Mailchimp > Constant Contact

Pros

It's easy. Intuitive. Lots of integrations. Very powerful. Clients understand what it is, so it's not hard to sell it.

Cons

It gets spendy on larger lists. Would be great to have bite size learning opportunities to deepen knowledge.

Connect with your audience with MailChimp

Reviewed 2 years ago

I started using MailChimp when I switched jobs. Having a prior experience using Constant Contact made understanding the way MailChimp works much easier.

Pros

MailChimp has a flexibility for both novices and experienced users with both pre-built templates, drag and drop creation options as well as full html coding.

Cons

The shift from a list based system to audience based has really thrown the way we used the platform out of wack. On top of that, any contacts in use for a campaign cannot be deleted for 7 days.

Mailchimp Review (New User)

Reviewed 8 months ago

So far, so good. Not much different than Constant Contact other than the reassurance that e-mails go through to our intended audience.

Pros

We recently switched over to Mailchimp from Constant Contact, per a recommendation from our IT department. We were promised better contact segmentation and less stress over whether or not our contacts were receiving our e-mails.

Cons

It was confusing at first to understand all of the features that could be used. However, Mailchimp has some pretty great webinars and blog post that can help you make sure you are getting everything out of using their service.
