It's a good tool for email marketing. I have used it for setting up a campaign to perform some email marketing. I find it very useful to check the email open rates.
I find it inefficient to sort my customers according to the membership types.

Have been able to in crease my membership numbers and retain members longer
I am very small so ease of use is very important. I do not have a full-time test team. Has made it possible for me to stay in touch with existing customers and to attract new ones.
I have not used a lot of other contact software so I don't have a lot to compare it to. Potentially could use more available trainingPotentially could use more available training

I am personally very happy with Mailchimp. I like its self email template creating feature. I have gain 462 subscribers through Mailchimp.
I am a blogger, who learns everything self. When I know about digital marketing, I also know about Mailchimp from a youtube channel. I heard about others like Mailchimp, but I chose Mailchimp for its easy uses and simple interface. I will recommend everyone to use Mailchimp as an email marketing software. As an individual, you can use its free service which is really effective. If your small growing business or blog needs email marketing then without hesitation go for its service. So let's start your email marketing through Mailchimp using its professional templates.
Mailchimp authority right to suspend a Mailchimp account. Membership-based sites faced problems sometimes.

We use this as our primary way of communicating and engaging with our membership .
There are many API options that allows you to integrate the Mailchimp service with your own platform or store. The Automation options is also very powerful, which we use a lot to keep engaging with our mailing list,
The web based service is good - however, the mobile version is very slow and is always giving connection error messages. If you are able to access the mobile version, it is a very robust tool that allows you to make and send emails right from the app. Though the inconsistency with the iOS version is the downfall

Overall it is easier option for email management and mailing list to drive membership
Best for mailing list management for the members
No direct integration with user list. Manual upload or email request needs to be send to end users to add the users to mailing list

Mailchimp has helped us reach our whole membership with custom, well designed emails. It has allowed us to keep our membership informed as things quickly evolve and has done so with ease so that we have more time to focus on other important things.
Mailchimp has a clean, fairly intuitive interface and has a very good A/B split testing support for broadcast emails. It also has well designed email templates and solid reporting.
We get a lot of emails that bounce back so that has been something we have been trying to navigate through.
