Sufficient for Non-Technical Marketers

2018-06-02

Very user friendly for your typical marketer who doesn't really have a formal marketing background.

Pros

Very user friendly interface, backed up by a growing ecosystem of applications, very resourceful and sharing community of users and an amazing archive of marketing hint related content

Cons

Limited in its CRM side, does not provide the sophisticated analytics that a platform like Marketo does.

BEST AUTOMATION TOOL EVER!

2018-06-01

Pros

WHY anyone would use anything other than Hubspot for marketing automation I'll never know. It's near perfect in every way.

Cons

Truly can't think of a single one... migrated from Marketo and never ever looking back.

Always new features, but always plenty to keep up to speed on

2018-11-28

Needed to move beyond Mailchimp to a more robust, true Marketing Automation platform but without a long-term commitment and absurdly high implementation cost.

Pros

The UX is much cleaner than any Salesforce or Marketo or Constant Contact product.

Cons

Downside to new features is they add them constantly vs. in timed releases like say the Salesforce platform, so you feel like you always need to learn something new even when you've used the platform for a number of years.

Easy to Use Marketing Automation Software

2018-02-02

Pros

We migrated to HubSpot from Marketo and boy what a difference!

Cons

Support was generally responsive, but didn't seem knowledgeable about the product. It always seemed like a lot of back and forth to explain the issues we encountered.

Right for the price

2019-03-12

Pros

Given the price that we are paying for this service and it's integration with our SFDC instance, we are very happy with the level of service we are getting. The workflow creation, list creation, integration, ease of template creation, and ease of sending and managing emails

Cons

It's lacking some more robust automation functionality that we had used with Marketo. The level of dynamically updated fields in workflows and emails/landing pages needs to be opened up a bit more than it currently is.

It was good in the beginning but now we need to switch

2017-12-21

Pros

Easy to use. Definitely makes simple tasks a lot easier. For our small business it is OK but we may have outgrown it now and might be time to find an enterprise grade solution

Cons

We trialed Marketo and liked it much better and may switch in mid-2018.

I Love This Marketing Automation Tool

2018-05-08

Pros

I've worked with several different marketing automation tools and this one takes the cake. I love how easy it is to integrate a number of different strategies. You can handle your social media posts, the analytics behind all of the pages, link paid spend, watch competitors, and send all of your emails out of the same tool. They've done a great job and continue to better themselves with each release. Their support team is top-notch, they always assist with questions no matter how small and don't make you feel silly for asking.

Cons

It's still a newer product in comparison to the larger companies like Marketo and they are still building out functionality.

The Best Marketing Automation Platform

2019-04-11

Overall, I recommend them over any other marketing automation platform. Especially good for small to medium businesses who have to do it all themselves as Hubspot makes it very easy.

Pros

The UX is unparalleled from what I've seen from competitors such as Marketo and has a rich amount of features.

Cons

As with many marketing automation platforms, creating LPs and emails can require a bit of coding. The email may look great in the builder but once sent has spacing and structure issues. The social media section has some nice features but is still pretty basic compared to other social planning platforms.

Hubspot MA

2019-03-11

Overall experience has exceeded my expectations. Good value for the cost, and easy to use.

Pros

Cannot compare it to the Pardot/Marketo class of software but for the price I think the value is there.

Cons

I do not have any immediate complaints on the MA side. On the sales CRM side there are some areas that could be improved like built in calling (as opposed to integrations) but MA has been great.

Hubspot was clearly created with the user in mind.

2017-12-12

Pros

I am originally someone who has championed Marketo (and still do), but I have to say that the folks at HubSpot really thought through how to make the email marketing and segmentation process easier.

Cons

Because it is a platform, the migration process is not always very precise for the websites. It can add little pieces of code. They often do updates and do not inform about it and may cause problems. The SEO modules of this software are basic and only assistive. Functionality does not include many instruments, and the data lacks depth. The price for the whole platform is very high, and you can not reduce costs by paying only for the modules you need.

HubSpot: For People Who Have Zero Mad Skills

2019-04-10

Against Pardot and Marketo, I choose HubSpot every time.

Pros

HubSpot is a wonderful marketing automation platform for people who, for example, don't have a developer at hand or someone with deep knowledge of how to use marketing automation tools. They have got an amazing and intuitive UI along with tutorials to get anyone, and I mean anyone up and running with an email campaign and landing page in the matter of point, click, drag, drop, launch.

Cons

Some of the off-the-shelf templates that are built in do not have as much flexibility as I would like.

Absolute best marketing automation platform available

2017-07-11

I mean, it's a killer marketing automation platform. You will see a rise in email traffic, but Hubspot also focuses on an overall rise in traffic to your website. It's more than just a marketing automation platform, really. It's a total inbound marketing solution.

Pros

-BEST workflow/drip program builder UI in the industry -Easy to using reporting Overall, out of the top 3 marketing automation solutions on the marketing (Pardot, and Marketo - I have used both), this is the best.

Cons

-It's social scheduling tool is actually really good, but it's not the best I've used, so there's that. -The CTA builder is .... clunky at best. In order to run CTAs on your website you better have a graphic designer who can make something pretty. You're also forced to use this builder to create any CTA buttons in emails, which means that you can't change the text on a button within an email itself.

Looks nice, has great marketing but features falls short for data-driven programmatic marketers

2018-12-10

Pros

I loved that it was easy for our designer to use, he was able to create beautiful templates that worked well in so many different email clients very easily. It was pretty easy to navigate creating and sending emails, you had a nice simple modern interface that walks you through each step. I liked the ease of use and UX.

Cons

I am used to programs like Marketo where you can just clone a whole set of values.

Good for SMBs

2017-08-09

Highly recommend if you're starting from scratch and don't have expectations for how to run email marketing campaigns. They give you all the tools you need to succeed. However, if you have something specific in mind, you may not be able execute on a process that doesn't align with "The Hubspot Way".

Pros

Significantly easier to use than Marketo, but still has a learning curve.

Cons

However, if you need more flexibility and already have something in mind for how to generate leads and use email marketing, then you may need to opt for a Marketo. For example, they only offer 2 unsubscribe options: "unsubscribe from all" and "manage preferences".

Great Marketing Tool for Mid-sized companies!

2018-10-09

Great product overall. It mostly does what our mid-size company needs to do for emails, landing pages, forms, lead captures. Not very robust out of the box and you need significant support from a developer on a continued basis.

Pros

Very easy to use! Even for marketers who aren't experienced with using marketing automation tools, Hubspot is very easy to learn and they have hundreds of forums to help you find answers. The interface is simple and intuitive. You can send simple batch emails and build pretty sophisticated workflows. There are hundreds of integrations that work with Hubspot.

Cons

For marketers experienced with Marketo and other more powerful Marketing Automation systems, Hubspot capabilities can feel a little too narrow.

Best UX + Customer Service, Hands-down

2018-03-30

Pros

HubSpot's software is very sticky. It's incredibly user friendly and easy to navigate, with WYSIWYG content editing and publishing. What's even better is their customer service, though. The HubSpot support line was my #1 go-to for my first couple years using it just to make sure I got everything 100% right for my clients (bonus - they have awesome hold music!)

Cons

That said, it is still far and away the best marketing automation software I've worked with (especially in comparison to Marketo, which has a user interface circa 1985.)

Makes it easy to manage your digital marketing all in one place

2016-02-02

We investigated HubSpot as a way to help us be more efficient in managing our client's digital marketing efforts, which had become time consuming using multiple different platforms. With HubSpot, we're able to keep everyone focused on the same goals across the various channels (email, blog, social, PPC) and view the results all in one place. Better yet, it gives us a platform where we can collect all this information on a contact and company basis, making it easier for us to see the interactions we're having with a single contact across the board. Reporting has become easier, and it's much easier now to make an impact with our marketing efforts with everything centralized.

Pros

Much easier than other marketing automation suites we've used in the past, including Marketo and SalesFusion.

Cons

As with most applications, the software can be a bit "hinky" sometimes, getting hung up or taking too long to process. Usually they flag the situation though, so you know what's going on and that they're working on it. If there's no flag, we report it, and they get someone working on it right away - nice to be taken seriously. The reporting generally requires that we need to take screenshots instead of using the ppt that the system auto-generates at month end - it's just not detailed enough for most of our clients. Sometimes it's difficult to keep up with all the system updates/upgrades, so be ready to invest some time in the training or find a partner to help.

Hubspot: Marketing automation that has grown with me

2016-01-04

I've used Eloqua and Marketo previously.

Pros

Great community. Responsive support- especially phone support and who can say that these days? They answer in minutes and are always very helpful. Responds to user requests and includes power users in building their roadmap!

Cons

Incredibly agile. Always adding new features and functionality. Sometimes it can be hard to keep up. Using it every day gives you ideas on new things you can't yet do- but they are very responsive and work with users to find ways to get the job done, or build the functionality.

Hubspot Invented Inbound

2016-11-16

As a cash-strapped small startup, this may have impeded our growth. Marketo doesn't charge by # of leads, just # of seats, which was more palatable for my previous company.

Intuitive interface & everything you need to get going with inbound marketing.

They charge you per lead in your database.

As an enterprise customer I expected a lot more from their support team.

2018-02-10

It's a basic solution for my needs and I outgrew them too quickly.

Pros

Their CRM is a great product. I do like the CRM. they provide it for free and it's the gateway to the product.

Cons

Everything else doesn't come close to Marketo and Eloqua.
