Marketo Ease-of-Use issue

2016-10-04

Marketo is not easy to use and usually requires an expensive contractor to come up with the nurturing campaign design.

Pros

It does the same thing as pardot

Cons

ease of use is not there.

One of the best in the market.

2017-12-20

I've used Pardot, Hubspot and Marketo - it's by far my top of the three.

Pros

Scalability, flexibility. Unlike many other platforms, Marketo truly can scale at a high pace when built out well. And if you're a confident user, it doesn't hide the complicated features behind a wall of impossible to breach "user friendly" interface - you can get into the weeds and play around and really customise things.

Cons

It's not the simplest, and can be quite tricky for newer/more novice users. But this can be overcome quickly with training.

Probably the Best

2016-11-03

Marketo has been great for our organization. Our business model is one where we get ~100k leads/yr, many of which are people downloading for free one of our many open source data management products. This amount of data necessitates that we have a top notch marketing automation tool at our disposal to do everything we need to with regard to emailing, scoring, lead lifecycle, segmentation, etc.

Pros

Easier to use than Eloqua and more robust than Pardot and Hubspot.

Cons

It gets overloaded with data fairly easily so our programs, campaigns, data cleanup, and syncs will stall greatly if we're not careful. You also have to be mindful of how you set up heavy smart lists or campaigns as they could take a while to load. This is also true of analytics. Analytics is not the best.

Enterprise grade lead automation

2017-06-08

Pros

Marketing is such a wide subject and equally complex you need something like Marketo to effectively run campaigns, analyze marketing spend, and attribute lead generation to correct sourcing.

Cons

May not be as intuitive as say Pardot but can do so much more.

Not beautiful, but necessary

2016-11-16

I was the primary tool evaluator, and chose it over Pardot and Hubspot, because our focus was on outbound emailing (Hubspot is not) and we needed a high level of customizability/flexibility (2 years ago I found that Pardot was not flexible enough).

Pros

Super flexible in what you can accomplish

Cons

Clunky, un-intuitive

Not intuitive

2017-06-27

If you're a power email marketer, and use SFDC as your primary CRM, Marketo is not for you.

Pros

Feature rich, lots of functionality, decent reporting. You don't have to know HTML to have a decent email template,

Cons

i have ripped and replaced Marketo 2x with Pardot and couldn't be happier.

A solid competitor to Marketo

2016-10-24

I've worked at companies who run Marketo or Eloqua in the past but helped a client through a recent Pardot implementation for the first time and was pleasantly surprised.

Highly functional

Cons

It's not quite as awesome as Eloqua or familiar as Marketo

Better than Marketo, but could be better

2016-10-06

Pardot has been AWESOMELY better than Marketo. Really, my only problems are that the Automation Rules aren't as flexible as smart campaigns in Marketo (and they're limited - No If this, then that, but If this other thing, than have a different action).

Pros

Creation of any asset is really easy - simple WYSIWYG editor

Cons

Chat is rarely online limited functionality (and a limit of) with automation rules

Pardot Review

2016-10-05

My team has used Pardot in previous company for Marketing automation. The user interface improved a lot over the years. Especially the drip campaign UI became the best in class.

Pros

Ease of use. Tight integration with SFDC.

Cons

It does lack some bells and whistles that Marketo has but fro simple B-B, not sure it's that relevant.

Intuitive and Useful Marketing Automation Software

2016-09-20

Pros

I use Pardot in a variety of ways - to send emails, create custom URLs and track lead sources, to view lead info on AdWords performance, to create lead capture forms for our website, etc. In all aspects, the software is easy to use and has the functionality my team needs. Its integration with Salesforce is especially helpful for our lead gen efforts.

Cons

I've also used Marketo as a marketing automation software and I think Pardot is more intuitive to use and has better functionality.

Super Easy to use!

2018-09-12

Pardot is pretty great! When going from no automation to Pardot, things get pretty streamlined and the marketing team is able to get so much more done in much less time.

Pros

This product is super easy to use. It was the first markeitng automation software I learned how to use and it was pretty easy from day one. The team was extremely helpful in getting it set up and teaching us all the features.

Cons

There are a few features missing that markeitng automation vendors like Marketo and HubSpot have but overall they are a great company to work with

Pardot integrates nicely with Salesforce, and provides a lot of additional insight.

2018-02-26

Pros

Lead Deck Pardot's Lead Deck gives you real-time activity updates of prospect's activity. If a prospect visits your services page, you can receive an update on your screen, and send them an email in one-click.

Cons

Not many integrations While Pardot does have native integration with most of the popular CRMs, they only have 32 third-party apps, which is significantly less than other tools, such as Marketo.

Easy to use marketing automation system

2016-10-28

Pardot is simple to set up and use. It's great if your marketing and sales team isn't looking for a lot of customizations.

Pros

Simple to set up. Simple to get up and started without a lot of training. It performs well in the areas of email marketing, lead scoring, etc if you don't need a lot of customizations.

Cons

It's not as robust or customizable like Marketo or Eloqua but for a small team that just needs to get emails out, it works well.

Clunky, to say the least.

2018-05-21

Provides good exposure to customer interaction.

Pros

Pardot is a fairly robust platform with significant functuonality. Good news for this platform is that there's no restriction on oass-through data to Salesforce.

Cons

While Pardot does have some reasonable power in scoring and automation, the functionality is far better in platforms like Marketo. The biggest issue is how arduous anything is on the platform.

Great Marketing Automation Tool

2016-12-07

Obviously, its Salesforce integration is solid and the UI is fresh and clean unlike Marketo. It is very easy to configure and users get a seamless experience specially they see most of the data within Salesforce.

Pros

The UI is intuitive and user friendly Great things in its roadmap Since acquired by Salesforce, the support received is great

Cons

May not work well with too much lead data. Connect with your rep on its limitations. Internal reporting and dashboards arent that extensive. Integration with internal website.

good marketing automation for B2B

2018-05-29

Pros

To be honest I found Pardot much better before it was acquired by sfdc. It's a full feature marketing automation solution and allows for omnichannel outreaches and follow-ups. Form handlers are great for helping identify duplicates.

Cons

The automation campaigns are not the best and need improvement, they are not as smart as the one's on marketo or eloqua.
