I love the support that Ontraport provides to their users. They are quite receptive to feedback and listen when you tell them there is a bug.

When I complained, they put in a ticket and he was only paid for 4 months. Plus, they hold any commissions for 90 days.

Ontraport is a "DO IT YOURSELF"  platform that delivers essential and effective business features, like marketing automation, a powerful CRM system,  outstanding email delivery, etc.

They never got the affiliate pay out. They should have been paid for 6 months.

It is very glitchy, it is not supported by people like driftflow, zapier, optin monster to name a few, the sales order process is horrible. Support is via e-mail only which can get really frustrating.

We have migrated the donor experience to another software designed for nonprofit fundraising, and still currently use ontraport to assist with marketing emails until a better solution is in place.

We've invested hundreds of hours, only to find core elements (split testing and analytics) don't work, as well as massive page load speed issues.  Have waited ages for support, which is awful if they don't know the answer..

Great potential, but doesn't work

My best suggestion here is to figure things out as best you can, watch the videos, and when you are ready to set up something big, like a funnel or a campaign, use your support time to set up something big for yourself.   They record it, so, you can refer back to it.

My primary experience with this software was getting people OFF of it.

Hi David! Business owners usually move to ONTRAPORT after they find a point solution isn't the right fit for their needs. Having all of your lead, client, eCommerce, support and more notes and interactions under one roof make it so that teams have less "fall through the gap" type of experiences. 

Businesses who are just getting started and only need the email marketing solution probably aren't the best fit. Appreciate your review!

A best practice for groups/lists that we use here on the ONTRAPORT campus is to add in a tag for the import (import:june12018). That way you can easily create a group around that import.

A clunky system that was just average as a shopping cart

Andra V.:                                              Hi, my name is Andra and I'm a business owner and I would rate Ontraport four out of five. And for more reviews like this, you can click the link below. Before Ontraport, we were actually managing our leads with Google Sheets and it was just really, really messy. So we knew we had to implement a CRM email marketing solution to tidy it all up. So we started doing research and then we actually tried Keap first by Infusionsoft. And unfortunately that software didn't work for us. It just didn't have the capabilities that we needed and there was a lot of limitations. So then I thought of Ontraport that I had used at a previous company that I worked for years ago. And I just saw that they had developed so many new features that were really relevant to us and we've been using them ever since.
                                                       So the reason why I chose Ontraport was because we were looking for a CRM solution that also had an email marketing component and had some basic automations built in. So what we were really looking for was a way that our leads could come into a system and they could get automated email sequences, automated SMSs, and then we could assign tasks really easily to the sales team so they could follow up on leads. And I just really liked that Ontraport was an all-in-one solution and we weren't a super technical team at the time.
                                                       So we needed something that we can just kind of intuitively learn and use. And I really love that Ontraport is so customizable and it just made the whole process really easy to set up and continue to use. Getting started with Ontraport was super easy. There wasn't that much training that needed to be done. I had one onboarding call with them and then I just set it up myself and reached out to their support when I needed some help. And their support was fantastic. I think at one point I literally was calling one of the support team members, bestie, because he was just always on there helping me. And it just helped us set it all up with how we needed it too and from there it's been all good.
                                                       I would say if you are considering using Ontraport, at the end of the day, it's a software and a software really needs proper thought put into it in terms of how it's going to be set up. So I think you can't expect any software these days that it's just going to be an out of the box solution. I think set up, a week or two to really put some thought into what you want to get out of the software and how you want to structure your business processes around the software, and then build that into Ontraport.
