We were looking for a way of displaying our existing dashboards (PowerBI, GDS, etc) on TV screens and monitors, to track KPIs. This is the most cost-effective solution we found.
The Amazon Fire TV app, interface, ease of setting up and configuring TV screens and monitors through the portal

This is excellent for my needs and extremely extensible since local resources are allowed. I'd say with more applications and fixing a few bugs this is a top tier solution for the price.
- Apps are quality and work - Extremely versatile deployment with different desktop/mobile apps & browser solutions - Scheduling and screen splitting is very straightforward - Allows for locally hosted resources - Works on 2k and 4k monitors
- Needs more apps, some other solutions have triple the amount of apps. - Apps could also use more customization options with color/font/positioning/background. - Screen split sections seem to stop loading and hang the application if power is lost to monitor or it's turned off for an extended period of time. I have a script that detects and kills the process now. - Support gave a non-working solution for mouse hiding I had to get a third party app to resolve. -

overall I like the functionality of Optisigns and its a great help to my business which will help improve the customer experience and drive up sales
Scheduling and creating playlists was a real need for my business to stay modern and up to date. The videos are running very smoothly and look great for the customers to get the right info at the right time.
some 'how to videos' showing all aspects of the software like video walls and likely mistakes with solutions on how to resolve.

Great! We had a wonderful demo that helped answer all our questions prior to deciding on the software. This product stood out against others!
Ability to schedule screens, admin & approval process, and the app integrations available.
Feel of platform is just a little out-dated looking but fully functional and easy to use.

So far, it’s been great.
I’ve switched from Yodeck to OptiSign because I want to use a Fire Stick as the deployment device and Yodeck didn’t offer that. Upon using OptiSign, I’ve discovered it’s easier to use, quicker at updating in screen, and has better features. I love that they also have an app to control the features.
I wish there was a free service for one screen like Yodeck offers. $108/year isn’t bad, but even if they offered a little cheaper option for one screen would be nicer.

Once I figures out, with the help of tech support, everything is working well. Excited for ew features and content to be added
I love the scrolling strip! We have out weather listed on it and it works great for our business
Split screen option is all or nothing. It would be nice to have the split screen be an option for one page of the slideshow. Its not as user friendly as it could be, it was really difficult to get set up. I wanted to upload files vs know to add from "apps" and edit from there. Not many options.

We are using OptiSigns to present dashboards of our metrics and training videos to our personnel.
The flexibility is outstanding both from a software and a hardware standpoint. The customer support is also outstanding and super responsive. I had a problem late in the evening and received an email almost immediately. The problem was corrected and I was up and running again.
It has a little bit of a learning curve to it but there is plenty of documentation to help.

I learned of Optisigns with a few friends. They used it before me, and when I did some market research it seemed like the best option for the money.
I like the ability to push the design to my screen remotely. My stand is at market and we are currently only open 2 days a week. So my design and menu changes take place during the off time and usually not at the stand.
I feel like the software could use a bump in available media and templates. Not everyone runs a coffee shop or bakery....

Quite smooth and we realized a nice saving over our previous solution, so we can deploy more screens in more locations for the same budget (we did have to buy the hardware, where in the previous subscription it was included)
Variety in content, we have a lot of software we work with directly integrated (tableau office365) Ease of use, users like it
pre-configured keys, resulted in direct crashes at startup so that was a bit less

It has been fine.
It is nice with how easy the software hooks up to the devices we need to display the plays on.
The difficulties with this software come in form of functionality. For example, you can not view the images in the playlist. They appear very small and you are unable to enlarge to make sure they are correct. Also, the functionality within the playlist upload is disappointing. For instance, you can not delete items in your uploads. This becomes very congested.

The software is extraordinarily easy to set up. The TVs we were trying to get our displays on are smart TVs, so I had to download the Optisigns app from the app store. Super simple process.
I feel like the base pricing for this service is high but there are many discounts available.

I use this to welcome guests and to direct people to various meetings throughout our 16-acre campus. We frequently 'Congratulate' people for accomplishments and recommend activities, etc. using the system. I've tried five competitors, Optisigns is by far the best, and it's a very good value.
The software includes many templates of a wide variety of styles, so it's easy to keep changing up the 'signs'
The interface is a tiny bit clunky, but is getting better all the time .

I really love it. I am using the free trial but am going to buy it now for our 4 screens.
It literally took me 15 minutes to be up and running with my signage. It was unbelievably easy to set up and use. I am using the Amazon fire stick which is much cheaper than the Pi devices of the competition.
I didn't see a tutorial of how to get things setup. I am sure they have one, but it is so easy I didn't even think to look.

Looks like a great product easy to use and support is on the ball with quick responses
Easy to use, great apps. The fact that it is installed as software on top of Raspian. This allows me to connect the networking to Wifi at locations with ease. Other products currently in use get distributed as a complete package and not so easy to connect to Wifi.
Have not found anything that I did not like

Really good so far.
It does exactly what I need it to. I need to be able to schedule different screens content at different times, etc. this is working out nicely.
The only thing and maybe I just haven't figured it out but I wish it had a general playback loop and then when I want to schedule a priority event it will let the display, and then go right back to the fall back. Right now you have to save and then whichever is saved last takes priority. the issue I have is if I forget to go back and save the event I want to show over the main loop I have to remember to save it last. I wish it had a priority level or something. Otherwise great.

We previously had been using USB's to display internal information, and this allows us to update all screens remotely, simultaneously and more easily which is a very nice upgrade.
We needed a software for remote control of what was displayed on internal screens, and from that aspect it does this job great. The management is done completely remote, with very easy to set up and use software. It also seems like a much more inexpensive option than many alternatives, and the support we have experienced so far has been great.
Only thing that we have noticed so far is that in the cheaper plans, we tried displaying a calendar from a website, and the TVs were unable to to stay logged into the website to display the calendar. This is able to be bypassed with the more expensive plans, or I believe through writing of your own HTML which I just haven't tried to do, but could be wrong on this aspect. They do have support for other calenders, just not what we previously used.

Our stores look much better now that we can afford more display screens! We love OptiSigns!
I have absolutely loved this service since switching from ScreenCloud. I am able to schedule my displays months in advance. Transitions between displayed files is a lovey feature! And at $10 a month per screen Optisigns is the best value around!
I would love a couple more apps and features on the backend. I would love to be able to preview individual files on the Files/Assets Page.

This software was perfectly straight to the point and exactly what I needed for the seafood market. Its easy to display and very quick with updates. Also able to use hardware I already have saves us money and time

I like that the software is easy to use. Integration was easy. The templates are easy to use. I just bought some Amazon Fire Sticks, connected it to my TV, downloaded the optisigns app on to the fire stick. I was up and running. The scheduler works perfectly. The playlist works perfectly. I can pull from multiple sources - youtube, webpage, static images, videos, live weather, and countless other places. I can edit templates on the fly and push them live. No more contacting my graphic designer, having him send me the file, put it on a flash drive, and connecting it to the tv. So much easier!
Twitch streaming didn't work very well. It's basically unusable. I think that's more an issue of twitch throttling because every other streaming video site worked perfectly.

Just recently purchased a hotel in remote area of Costa Rica and identified several dark screens just wasting without images or messaging. In less than 24 hours we had them programmed and not only received comments from the staff, but it appears that guests were also looking at the monitors. That was a pleasant surprise
ease of use and set up. we were up and shooting relevant images to screens in less than an hour. it is easy to use and mimics other software UI, so less time learning. Adding third party apps is also easy
once you sort thru the interfaces it does what it says, some of the calendar steps , while easy to follow might be able to cut some time down. That said, once programmed it is easy for future changes. The brand feature looks promising and we hope to start using it for consistency in message.

For digital signage software, this is very easy to get set up and get everything organized. We have a variety of digital signage that needs to show on specific days of the week, so having everything scheduled before hand saves us loads of time. From there we can easily drop in or remove new signage in a matter of seconds. OptiSigns seems to be putting out new updates regularly, like split screen capabilities and expiration time for specific digital assets. We've been using the software for a few months now and I don't see us needing anything else.
There's not a whole lot I find problematic and if I list anything here, it's me just being nitpicky or it being purely aesthetic. There's nothing that I can see being a problem for anyone if you're looking for reliable digital signage software that's incredibly flexible. If you're not familiar with software like this or its capabilities, there might be a bit of a learning curve.
